We spent 6 nights at the apartment with a group of 6 (ages 52, 52, 22, 20, and 20.). We could easily have accomodated a much larger group without sacrificing any comfort. Each bedroom was the size of a modest hotel room and has majestic tall ceilings. The modern windows kept much of the noise of the city at bay. Having spent time in so many neighborhoods across the city, I could not imagine a more ideal base for truly experiencing Roman life. Parco Giochi is just around the corner and has a wonderful playground. The beautiful Piazza Testaccio (3 mins) comes to life each evening with families, couples, kids and travelers enjoying the evening. There's a great bar right below, terrific pizza across the street, and a very tasty breakfast/lunch spot right next store. Many of Rome's best restaurants are just a few minutes way on foot. Testaccio Market is 10 minute walk away. Important bus and tram stops for visiting all of the major sites are just a 1-2 minute walk away, and we found these routes to be very reliable and fairly quick (10-20 mins). There are 3 grocery shops and as many wonderful gelato stands within a 5 minute walk. The apartment itself, situated on the 1st floor of a gorgeous 19th-century building with beautfiul marble stairs, is incredibly spacious, comfortable and well-supplied with everything need for cooking, coffee, dining and relaxing. We visited during a very hot 3rd week of July and found the AC working great. Just go ahead and book this place now!
