About this property
Secluded forest hideaway with hot tub
The Vermont Summer Cabin sits on the edge of Green Mountain National Forest, set away from the road the house is almost completely secluded. The cabin is a 2 bedroom summer dwelling with an open concept living room & kitchen, full bath, master bedroom and a second bedroom. Two cars can fit comfortably in the driveway.
The cabin is built for three-season use. A wood burning stove provides heat and ambiance for the cool summer evenings and is the only heat source for early spring and fall months. Both beds have heated blankets and the hot tub is a magical way to warm up. The weather in Vermont is known for changing throughout the day, so its always good to pack layers and comfy socks.
The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances and amenities to feel at home. There is a wireless internet connection for streaming and a small workspace if needed. There is a small washer/dryer unit. The back deck has an open air hot tub for soaking under the stars. Though we try to keep the house stocked, guests may have to purchase their own wood, kindling, matches or other supplies like toilet paper or paper towels.
Tucked away in a quaint New England town, the cabin is five minutes from The Vermont Country Store and The Weston Playhouse. Other interesting attractions in Weston include Kinhaven Music School, where you can see free classical music concerts most Saturdays and The Weston Priory, a secluded community of Benedictine Monks. You can tour cultural and farm-to-table establishments, go antiquing, or take day trip to tour Vermont's rich micro brewing industry. There are both casual restaurants and fine dining options within a 30 minute drive.
Outdoor activities include river walking and hiking, as we are close to the Long Trail and the Appalachian Trail, among others. For water activities there are rivers and lakes, Echo Lake and Hapgood Pond to name a few.
Whether you are traveling with friends or looking for a cozy, romantic getaway, The Vermont Summer Cabin is a wonderful place to spend some time and soak up the beauty of Vermont.
Please note -- although the one-time hot tub fee of $155 is listed separately on the Vrbo bill, cabin rental without the hot tub is not available.
Attention to those with severe pet allergies -- Although we have a no-pet policy for guests, and the cabin is cleaned well between each stay, there are small pets who live here from time to time.
