7 Flagship Harbour on the River Shannon with river, lake and harbour views.

A fully equipped apartment with private entrance in an exclusive gated development. Free fishing, parking and WiFi. There are two floors in the apartment. You have a private entrance door and no shared internal spaces. The entrance level floor has a living, dining and kitchen area and a bathroom. The heating controls and the fuse box are also on this level. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom. The back bedroom has a double bed and Shannon River views and a door leads to a private balcony area. The front bedroom has 2 single beds and views over Flagship Harbour, built in the 1800s.
The patio area in front of the apartment is communal space. A patio table with 4 chairs is provided for you enjoyment. Looking downriver you can see the town of Lanesborough to the left of the bridge spanning the Shannon.

The garden, the patio area and the jetty are all communal spaces, so feel free to enjoy them. You can fish right from the floating jetty in front the property.

Lovely quiet location on the banks of the River Shannon at the edge of a small but friendly village. Access to main door by exterior stairs from the secure car park. Property was clean, very well equipped and comfortable. Great location to tour the surrounding area although public transport is limited. Village offers 2 lovely pubs one of which does food. There is also one restaurant and a number of carry out establishments. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Perfect location for everything we wanted to do. Food, pubs, fishing. There is even a distillery that allow you tasters to see if you want to buy any. Locals all very friendly. Wonderful stay.

A visit to home from home

This property was ideal for us and it checked every box when it comes to convenience comfort and security. Loved the location. Super quiet with fab views of the Shannon. Would highly recommend. The property owner (Mr Moran) was fantastic and a dream to deal with.

Flagship Harbour

The property and it’s proximity to the river was superb. It was clean, tidy and had adequate space and facilities. A nice touch was the cupboard contained items such as salt, pepper, cooking oil etc, which prevented us having to ‘do a shop’ and buying excessive quantities. Already talking about returning next year.

We could not have been happier with our stay in Flagship Harbour in Ballyleague. Located on the Shannon between Longford and Roscommon it provided a wonderful place from which to explore the midlands. Roscommon Town had marvelous restaurants and the lovely town of Lanesboro is the site of Lough Ree Distillery where there is a wide array of Irish whiskey to not only taste and buy but the owners provide an in-depth tutorial on the spirit processing. Clarke’s bar is a marvelous local to grab a pint and experience a real Irish session. 7 Flagship was the perfect place to return to after everything. A big thank you to Frank Moran, the host, for all the guidance and the beautiful location. Be sure to also take a water cruise on the Shannon on to Lough Ree. By the way the provided towels were the absolutely softest!

the perfect "home base" for our visit to Ireland

My husband and I, and our two college-age kids, stayed at Flagship Harbour for a two-week visit to Ireland. The flat is located in roughly the middle of the country--a perfect place to strike out from for visits to pretty much everywhere. Almost everywere is a two- to three-hour drive from Flagship Harbour (which is nothing, for Americans). The living space is quiet, comfortable, and warm; the mattresses are top-quality; and Francis is a responsive, considerate host. SuperValu grocery, just over the bridge, had all we needed, and Revolution Laundry was better than we expected--no nasty, scented detergents! (Why I knocked off a bit under "cleanliness": some of the cookware was pretty gross, and the carpet in the bedrooms is so worn down in the high-traffic zones that there was a lot of long hair matted into the fibers that the vacuum just can't bring up.) Some places we enjoyed: * Adie's pub, Lanesbrew coffee, and Lough Ree Distillery (all just a short walk away in Lanesborough) * Cliffs of Moher, Inis Mor, Coole Park, and various sites in the Burren Geopark * the Guinness Storehouse and the Museum of Literature (Dublin) * Blarney Castle and the Butter Museum (Cork) * the Milk Market and the Limerick Museum (Limerick) * the Museum of Free Derry and the Peace Bridge (Derry, Northern Ireland) * On days when we stayed nearby, The Pantry was a lovely place for lunch, and the cheesecake at Molloy's Bakery was delightful (Roscommon, a 15 min drive) We fell in love with Ireland!

The property is well situated for visiting the area and has lovely views of the river Shannon. The owner is quick to respond and helpful. Access was easy and the car park secure. It is well equipped for cooking but not for cleaning up. One needs to bring or buy a dish cloth and scourer not to mention extra toilet rolls and dish washer tablets. An extra tea towel would also be useful. These are small niggles easily addressed. On the whole I would recommend a stay here.

Die Lage ist einfach unglaublich schön und Frank ein sehr zuvorkommender und netter Vermieter.Der Ort hat mit einem Supermarkt und einer Tankstelle alles, was man braucht.Eine Bootsfahrt mit "Access for all" auf dem Lough Ree war ein Tipp von Frank und wirklich schön (waren nur zu sechst auf dem Boot). Auch der empfohlene Spaziergang durch den Wald und am See entlang ist toll zu gehen.

Perfect locstion on the River Shannon

Fishing Trip

Brilliant location on the river shannon. Jetty just out the front is ideal for fishing. Lanesborough 5 mins away for all your amenities. Couldn't fault the place.
