Well appointed and surrounded by nature
What a delight to sit and watch the birds come to the feeders. The occasional Javelina and coyote might just travel through the property as well. The house had everything you might need: a well stocked kitchen and a lovely bathroom with extra supplies such as razor blades and tooth brushes. The serene environment made us want to stay even longer.

Easy peasy
Loved feeling the desert nature. I have now been inspired to perhaps become a bird-watcher. Really was a great place.

Quiet, privacy, birdwatching, view of the desert
Very comfortable, quiet, private, with outside patio for birdwatching, sunsets, Javalina visitations, two very friendly owners, and fairly close to everything you'd like to do in Tucson. We will try to go back there again for sure. Thanks to Joy and John.

Born and raised in Venezuela, left Venezuela to travel with the international educational signing group Up With People and after 3 years on their road came to Arizona to attend the U of A for my Masters in Latin American Studies. Graduated took a job with our local food bank and retired after 30 years of working at the food bank. I am fully Bilingual English and Spanish, enjoy meeting new people, traveling and cooking. My boyfriend and I moved in to our property after purchasing it in 2009 we so enjoy desert living. We have a wonderful dog Maggie and two indoor cats Miss Kittie and Susie.

Why they chose this property

Quiet desert living, surrounded by a variety of cacti and desert wildlife. On the outskirts of the east side of Tucson away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Great for star gazing, reading, watching birds, long walks and relaxing. We live on the property and are available if you have questions. We will respect your privacy and only check in with you if you need anything. Our neighborhood is quiet and somewhat secluded so we ask that guests be respectful of the property keeping noise level down and no parties in the guesthouse while staying with us.

What makes this property unique

Beautiful sunrises and sunsets from any part of the property. You will see Javalinas, Coyotes, Cottontail Rabbits, Jackrabbits, and Reptiles crossing the property. We have done minimal landscaping as we believe in leaving the dessert as it is. This helps our habitat making it more rural and fun to see creatures coming through. We do advise all guest to be careful for rattlesnakes, scorpions and other creatures as they do roam around free in this beautiful desert.
