Large, Open Sunset Cabin in Star of Hocking Hills

Upon arrival guests will be welcomed to a charming front porch, where our guests can relax outside after a day of exploring the state parks. You will walk into the Sunset Cabin to a beautifully remodeled space with knotty pined walls, hickory kitchen cabinets, and two comfortable living spaces.

The entire cabin has been completely remodeled to make our guests feel like they are at a home away from home. There is a fully equipped kitchen and breakfast bar that gives you the ability to cook delicious, home-made meals throughout your stay. Just located off the living room is a beautiful master suite with a luxurious master bath with a large, romantic soaking tub and a double vanity sink. Take a relaxing bath after exploring state parks and partaking in outdoor activities.

There are four additional spacious bedrooms where our guests can enjoy maximum comfortability in the Queen-sized beds. The second living room offers a great space to cozy up next to the electric fireplace with your loved ones while watching a movie marathon. One of the best features of the cabin are the two back decks, excellent for outdoor entertainment. You and your guests can grill juicy hamburgers or steaks over the grill.

Sit back and relax in the hot tub or the pool to enjoy beautiful sunsets and get lost in the wide-open starry night sky. Spend time around the outdoor firepit sitting around a crackling warm fire sharing memories, laughing over drinks, and roasting marshmallows. Make sure you take advantage of the picturesque views of the sunsets over the rolling hills, the beautiful fall foliage, and the gorgeous starry skies because these are views that you don’t see every day.

Very nice facility, need to upgrade out door appliances ie.. grill and hot tub. Need to make sure guess knows no condiments or keep in the cabin. Otherwise nice place. The pool is not attached to the house, but nice pool and need better pool chairs that can tolerate 250lbs of man or woman- lol

This was my first time using VRBO, and I am not a fan. The property was nice enough, but run down. The host responded when they were in office, which was fine. However, I think the lesson for us is to never rent through a separate property company using this app. I found it extremely cumbersome to have to check in at a place in town and then go to my rental when almost every other property we've stayed at uses keypads so you don't have to interact with anyone to check in. TL, DR: Decent property, but needs updating. Beautiful area. Slow response from staff and outdated check in methods means we won't stay again.

A good value for the area. We enjoyed staying in the house and found it to be spacious and clean. The setting was peaceful. We had an issue with the hot tub not warming up, but the host sent a maintenance person out to fix the issue. The beds were disappointing - not very comfortable and the pillows were very flat. Other than that we really liked staying here.

The cabin was great! It was cleaned and had everything we needed. Our only downfall was the hot tub didn’t work when we arrived which was one of the reasons for choosing this cabin. We weren’t actually able to use it until day 3 and we left the next day, so it pay for a cabin with a hot tub to only to available for one was a disappointment to say the least.

We stayed at Sunset Cabin for four days. When we arrived the cabin smelled fresh and looked very clean. What a unit! Five bedrooms and SEVEN TVs! Also an unusually well stocked kitchen with an abundance of dishes, silverware and cookware Two bathrooms means almost always one available. Outside there’s plenty of green grass, however not much of it is flat and level. Also outside there are TWO decks, a large pool, a hot tub,a propane grill and, just down the hill, a fire ring and benches.Overall a comfortable, nicely decorated cabin with lots to do indoors and outdoors I would recommend this cabin to anyone, especially if you’re traveling with some friends.

Very nice!

I would highly recommend staying at the cabin. Very clean, quiet and the pool was a hit with the kids. There is a very nice fire pit area for making S’mores. Will stay again!

Great Cabin

The Cabin was family friendly and had a nice layout. Lots of room. Nice kitchen for cooking in. Ample chairs and space to spread out. Pool and a 8-persom hottub bonus. We had a blast and will be back!

Fabulous Fall Getaway

We had a wonderful family fall weekend with our adult children at this Nelsonville gem. We enjoyed hiking, horseback riding, numerous lawn games and a dinner at a lovely restaurant in town staffed by Hocking College students. The 5 bedrooms worked well for our large family and pets were allowed so the family dogs could join in the fun. We will definitely return to this destination next year.

Large cabin in good location

This cabin is well-situated for day trips to many locations in Hocking Hills and other parks. The many bedrooms, all with large beds, could sleep 10 people. The living and sitting areas are comfortable. The pool, hot tub and outdoor grill work well. The only negative was the too-worn condition of the upholstery and broken recliners.

Friends getaway in the wooods

We had a full house of 12 adults.. The check-in process was good and the property maintained contact prior to our stay.. The hot tub was the only issue, but everything else was great.

Great time

There were 12 of us and one dog. The place was plenty big and comfortable. We used it all. The fire pit, the pool and the hot tub. Sat on the back deck and the front porch. Would recommend

Nelsonville Family cabin retreat

Nice location. Pool is wonderful. Good wi-fi/cable. Hot tub and deck with grill and nice seating. Good kitchen set up and 2 living areas to hang in. 2 bathrooms good for 4 people - may be a challenge for more than 8 people since 1 bathroom is only accessible going throught the master bedroom. Nice firepit area but we did not use during our stay.

Plenty of room

We enjoyed our stay. There was enough beds for everyone, the pool was great. We didn’t use the hot tub. The only negative thing to say is that with this house sleeping 12 there is only 2 bathrooms and 1 of which you only had access to by walking completely through the master bedroom. If there was a 3rd bathroom or even just a half bath would be a great improvement!
