Walk to Britt, or Downtown Jacksonville. We are right off the Main Steet coming into town. Charge your EV. 1 for Free. 1 Bedroom, with separate living room. Perfect for a Couple. Furnished living area, new couch with pull-out queen size bed. Can sleep 4 comfortably. All Linens provided. Great Air conditioning/Heat in both bedroom and living room. Flat Screen T.V. with Cable and wi-fi internet provided. Bathroom has a walk-in shower w/ handicap rail. Coffee Provided, Full Kitchen complete with microwave, electric stove, fridge, island sink, quartz counter tops, silverware, cooking and baking needs. We are well stocked with extra cleaning supplies, paper towels, bar soap, shampoo & conditioner, hairdryer, plus many extras. You can do your Laundry(Full size washer/dryer) soap is provided.
Walk in closet with hangers and iron. Outdoor enclosed deck area has privacy divider fence, table with chairs. (Allow Outdoor Smoking only). Cottage is attached to main residence. Completely private, parking for up to two vehicles. Convenient walking distance to town, shopping, dining, hiking, Pioneer Retirement center is only one block away (visit family). Rays Food place, gas station, car wash, and New market with large liquor and wine selection is right across the street. Popular BBQ restaurant a few doors away!
Almost daily opportunities to enjoy viewing wildlife, like our local deer and turkeys.
We have a resident Orange Cat named Leo. He has lived on our porch for 12 years.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

This is the perfect cottage for exploring everything downtown Jacksonville. The host (Eric) was responsive throughout the stay and the check in/out process was easy.

At first was hard to find, but that is the way the town is set up. The house was very clean and it was quiet. Great BBQ right next door. Would stay again, most definitely recommend a try.

Perfect for us! At first hard to find ( but once we knew right by chiropractic office- no other issues) Walking distance to a coffee place, grocery store and a really good restaurant. Nice and quiet and the bed was so comfy!! Loved that it had laundry in the unit. If ever this way again we would see if THIS VRBO is available.

Our stay was so nice. The cottage was clean and right in the middle of Jacksonville so it was easy to go anywhere. The owner gave us some polished rocks and jalapeño mustard on our way out. He was very nice, will definitely stay here again.

This place was even better than I had hoped for! It is very roomy with a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bath. It is very clean and looks so well maintained. It is also within walking distance of a cafe and not too ling of a walk to downtown. The folks who run the place are very friendly as well!

Great experience from the booking and communication with the host all the way through leaving! Unfortunate we only got to stay one night but what a nice relaxing night it was! We were absolutely amazed when we walked in at how immaculately clean Charlene’s Cottage was, I mean seriously, not a speck of dust anywhere! It is a very nice little cottage, looks and feels brand new inside. Very well appointed with great attention to detail. If you’re going to be staying in the Jacksonville area, we highly recommend Charlene’s Cottage!

My friend had a wonderful stay here at the cottage. It was an easy walk to downtown and the Britt Fest Venue. The hosts were very communicative but also gave us space. The cottage is thoughtfully decorative and cozy. It was a bonus that we were able to do laundry. There is also a friendly cat, Leo, that hung out with us in the patio area. The fold out bed is a little rough but I slept on the couch and that was very comfortable.

Charleen's Cottage guest house was great. It is walkable to everything in Jacksonville. Well equipped kitchen and spacious bathroom. There is a deck near the front door and free off street parking. We would stay in the cottage again, when in Jacksonville.

This was our 4th stay at Charleen's Cottage, and we will definitely be back! Cozy, clean and so convenient. Everything you could possibly need for a comfortable vacation- full kitchen, lovely bedroom and sitting room, bathroom and even a laundry room. Perfect for 1 or 2 guests.

Impeccably clean and ideally located cottage. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We had a dead car battery and they came to the rescue. Their hospitality was echoed by other merchants in town. This is why staying in a private unit makes traveling even more fun.
