Great Trip with even Greater Memories

Brought a group of clients and friends fishing. Stayed, ate, cooked, fished and had a great time at this houseboat. Will definitely return.

Fishing and hunting

We stayed at the house boat to go fishing for the weekend. This is a great place for either hunting or fishing . They had everything we needed to have a great time and the location is good. Nice to be able to park your boat in the front of the house boat.

The ice machine alone saved us at least a couple hundred bucks. Large dock allowed us to dock 3 boats at once.

Fantastic location and lots of space to sleep

Perfect location! Didn’t book till last minute and the host was wonderful about accommodating and getting the place ready within hours of arrival. Had a bit of trouble with the AC but a neighbor came over to help with the host walking him through. Plenty of places to sleep and 2 restrooms Thanks so much, one of our best family trips !

Had a good stay at The Roosters Den. Bad ant problem on the porch. Few other bugs as well. But overall good place to stay. Owners were great and communicated well! Great location!!

Redfish Heaven - prime spot at the Marina

Exceptional service throughout the whole process from Beverly and Clay. This is a prime spot with great views of the morning sunrise as you’re waiting for the boat to pick you up right at your own dock to go catch some bull reds. Houseboat was well stocked with towels, seasonings, and everything we needed . Beds and pillows were comfortable!

Great view

This houseboat has one of the best views of the whole marina. Stayed here for a guy's fishing trip and it was perfect. Have stayed at other houseboats but this one was the best so far. The ice machine was always full and we used a lot of ice. The extra dock was perfect to keep any size boats. Plenty of room to sit and enjoy the boats coming and going. This is a fishing town and this is not a five star resort. Perfect place to stay to go fishing.

Hurricane Francine😬

Our trip was affected by the hurricane and the road in was closed for 2 of the 4 days we were planning to stay. Our hosts were in contact with us the whole time. They updated us about the weather and road conditions. We were able to get in for the last 2 days and were refunded for the days we were not there.

Honestly, best property in the marina.

The Rooster's Den was a great place to stay and IMO, it really is the best property in the marina from many good choices. Next time in Venice, we will set our dates based on RD's availability. In addition to high starts on all the basics (clean, easy to access, full of house stuff to use, etc.): - The layout of RD is really comfortable. Comfortable bunk beds to sleep and a really roomy and logical layout of a joined family / TV and kitchen area. Comfortable places to sit, cook and eat as a group. - The host was really great to us. Very helpful and unsolicited outreach before we arrived, very responsive and welcoming when we did have questions and the host was also very helpful with an adhoc special request from my group. RD is truly a great place to stay.
