What a beautiful cabin in such a peaceful setting with such kind people who work the ranch. I cannot say enough about what a wonderful 30th anniversary we had at this cabin which, by the way, was also in a fantastic location!
This place is " the best" ... a consensus opinion of both the grandparents and our 2 ten year old granddaughters. Alex and the whole team did a great job ... so helpful ! We loved our stay and will definitely stay at the Trail Creek Ranch if we find ourselves anywhere near the area again .

quiet and serene cabin on 300 acres
Our family spent 3 nights in this cabin while visiting grand teton and yellowstone. Clean and comfortable for 2 adults and 2 children. Easy access to Jackson, South Entrance of Yellowstone, Grand Teton and Snake River. The staff at Trail Creek Ranch are fantastic.
We found Trail Creek Cabins as we were looking for a place to stay near the Grand Tetons. It was a highlight of our trip! The ranch is absolutely beautiful and the cabins are so nice, each with their own personality and special story. The history of the ranch is really interesting and we enjoyed learning about it. Alex and her crew answered all of our questions and helped us navigate where to go when we needed assistance. The nearby town of Wilson has some great places to eat too. I hope we get to go back in the future!
Trail Creek Ranch is an amazing place! Location is great, super close to Jackson ,but we ware happier on the ranch than in town, enjoying bon fire, horses, beautiful nature, barn…. Cabins are rustic, clean , comfortable and very charming.
Staying there brought back childhood memories … good old days. Truely ,there are so few places as Trail Creek Ranch left ! Alex and her Husband Mike are such great hosts and always there if you need anything. Thank you Bill and Jules as well! We ware there for several nights and we felt at home. We highly recommend it !!!!
We can’t wait to go back!!!!Thank you so much !!!! Trail Creek Ranch will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
Stayed at this beautiful property for a quick weekend getaway. Our cabin was cute and cozy with all the amenities we needed! Very short drive to Wilson and Teton Village. Would highly recommend.
Our family wanted to stay outside of the hustle and bustle of Jackson. The historic Trail Creek Ranch in Wilson was perfect and we loved our cozy little cabin. Alex was amazing with communicating to us and her staff were so friendly and helpful. The cabin was clean and quiet! We are already talking about a return visit.
The property is fantastic. It’s quiet and feels remote, though it’s right outside of town and close to Grand Teton National Park. The cabin is wonderful. It was clean, warm, and just a cool place to stay. The horses and pasture/mountain views add to the charm. Alex was very nice and responsive and she gave us great advice as to where to eat/hike. All who stayed agreed that we would come back next time. Thanks Alex for a wonderful stay!
Small cabin was well-appointed with everything we needed. Alex was very responsive and a great source of local knowledge.

About the host
Hosted by Alexandra Menolascino
Muggs and Alex lovingly run Trail Creek Ranch. A ranch that was purchased by Elizabeth (Betty) Woolsey, who was the Captain of the first women's olympic ski team in 1936. Betty found the Ranch when she skied down from the top of Teton Pass to the front of what is now the Main Lodge. She was so enamored of the property, she bought her first 40 acres that year, 1943, and started charging her house guests in 1946, and expanded the property over the years to the 270 acres it is now. When Betty died in 1997, she placed a conservation easement on the land with the Jackson Hole Land Trust, and left it to Muggs and Alex to continue the traditions of sharing a little piece of heaven. Muggs is 96 years old now and lives in her cabin overlooking the fields that she used to farm. She has handed down the farming to our amazing crew that you can see in the tractors/trucks, dragging or haying the fields and taking care of the horses and land. Alex, and her husband Mike, have made their home here for the last 35 years and have raised their four boys in this beautiful valley.
Why they chose this property
Trail Creek Ranch is a little piece of Jackson Hole history. This Ranch has been greeting guests for over 75 years, as a Dude Ranch and now as a Guest Ranch. The hospitality is genuine and we love sharing the valley and all that it has to offer. It is one of the most authentic properties in the valley.
What makes this property unique
When you stay you will feel like it's your own private ranch! There is a heated outdoor swimming pool, horses to visit with, trails to hike and bike. Wildlife is all around. The Ranch is magical.
