Kerloc Cottage offered a serene setting in mixed deciduous forest that was close to groceries in Theix (just 3 km) but offered distance from the hustle and bustle of city life. Claudine was an excellent host for this historic cottage and even provided a jar of homemade apricot jam and a bottle of cidre from Breton to enhance our experience, Theix is well situated for ease of access to the Bay of Morbihan, the standing stones of Carnac, medieval towns, and Quiberon (the Atlantic was a great luncheon stop!). Our only regret was the shortness of our stay (3n) because the area is so rich in medieval history and scenic coastlines.

We were absolutely delighted with our house. Such a beautiful setting. We loved the forest which was perfect for our dog Barney who could roam without needing a lead. It was so quiet so perfect for us to unwind after the busy life we have. We would love to return.

Just like a fairy tale

This charming stone cottage, with a thatch roof, in the middle of a forest, feels like a fairy tale. In every sense of the word, one “gets away from the chaos of the world” in this beautiful property. It is clean, cozy, safe, and sweet. The decor is elegant and every need is met. Our family loved staying here and we will return. The property owner was a good communicator and she made sure we were comfortable. If you are fortunate enough to explore this area of France, your trip will be made happier should you decide to stay in this magical part of the French woods.

Einziger Verbesserungsvorschlag:An einigen Fenstern Mückengase wären toll.
