About this property

Småland cottage next to the forest edge, close to Isaberg and High Chaparall

A large cabin next to the forest.

On the new renovated upper floor there is 5 bedrooms with 2,2,2,1,and 1 beds. In the garden is a small cabin with a familybed for 2-3 persons. On the ground floor there is a large family room with fireplace and a large fully equipt kitchen.

The cottage is surrounded by a large garden, with a lot of space for children to play. The surrounding area consists of forest and wilderness. We promise that no traffic will disturb you. You will have access to our lake with "Vildmarksbyn" with huts, fire place, boat, and canoes. Fishing included.

Wood-heated hot tub in the garden, available to rent. You can take a warm bath outside under the stars, all year around.

From the cottage is within walking distance to the ski slopes. Kylås ski slope is very popular with families with children. You reach even Isabergs ski resort in about 30 minutes. When we have snow we make cross-country trails that pass the cabin.

Large family? We have two more cottages with 8 and 6 beds.

perfect vacation

very nice house in a secluded location, nice care by Annie, we enjoyed the possibility of canoeing on the lake and fishing, very nice possibilities for hiking. A very nice grassy area for children to play by the house. The house is adequately equipped. Excellent opportunity to spend a night in Wildmarksbyn.

29/7-2017 Kære Annie. Vi har haft en dejlig ferie med badedage ved Flatenbadet. Vi har roet i robåden på søen. Samt en dejlig tur til Astrid Lindgrens Verden. Tak til Annie som har været en sød, venlig og meget hjælpsom vært. Og, vi har boet i et rigtigt dejlig hus, der har levet op til vores forventninger om en hytte i skoven, langt ude i skoven i Sverige. 3 generationer på besøg fra Danmark / Midtjylland. Kylås er et sted som vi alle gerne vil besøge igen, store som så vel som små. Noah, Vega, Runa, Line, Nikolai, Thomas og Dann Bedste hilsner Runa

Wunderbar!

Wir - Familie mit drei Kindern (zehn, acht und fünf Jahre) - hatten herrliche zwei Wochen im Melkers Hus im August 2016. Das zauberhafte Haus war sehr angenehm ausgestattet, die Gegend wunderschön. Der angrenzende Wald und die Natur hatten unsere Großstadtkinder nach kürzester Zeit in ihren Bann gezogen. Hierfür sorgten allerdings auch die Blaubeeren, Preiselbeeren und Pilze. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett, unkompliziert und hilfsbereit. Ein nahegelegener See im Wald gehört ebenfalls zu ihrem großen Grundstück. Nach kurzer Absprache kann man hier ganze Tage verbringen. Eine schöne Lagerfeuerstelle, ein überdachter Bereich, zwei Boote und Hängematten sind hierfür die rustikale Grundausstattung. Dass dieser See ein Stück entfernt vom Haus liegt, fand ich wegen der Kinder perfekt. So konnte auch unser Nichtschwimmersohn draußen herumstromern, ohne dass wir Angst haben mussten, er könnte dem Gewässer zu nahe kommen. Wir mochten schließlich überhaupt nicht wegfahren, und ich hoffe sehr, dass wir bald wieder hier herkommen können. Die Textzeile aus einem Lied von Revolverheld: “... und (wir) träumen vom Sommer in Schweden” können wir jetzt jedenfalls von Herzen mitsingen.

Beautiful place!

We found this stuga a very nice, quiet and comfortable place to stay in beautiful surroundings. The owners Annie and Johan are a very nice couple that have made our stay in Småländ, Sweden a great time. We enjoyed the outdoor activities very much and towns and other places of interest are nearby. Highly recommended by us. Fam. Valk from The Netherlands.
