Holding a Blue Flag distinction, deeming it one of the cleanest beaches in Costa Rica, Playa Carrillo is a must-see destination. Swim in the warm waters of the North Pacific or snorkel and explore beautiful coral reefs. Take a tour or go out on your own for sport fishing, jet skiing, water skiing, and kayaking. At the end of the day, sit back, relax, and take in glowing sunsets with the screeches and bellows of howler monkeys in the distance.

This house is perfect for family or friends, it has all you need to cook, to rest and to visit the area. The kitchen is fully equipped, the neighborhood is very nice and safe. The yard is huge and perfect for a bbq.

Casa Sol is a cute house that is a short drive to beautiful Playa Carrillo and the awesome town of Samara. Restaurants, shopping and activities nearby. The house has a well-equipped kitchen. The pool is small, but perfect. The owner is wonderful, and allowed us to change our dates with no penalty. And he was super easy to work with via WhatsApp once there. A few things that kept us from giving five stars: the downstairs shower is broken and there’s no hot water. There’s also no mirror, so it’s basically just a powder room. Our whole family shared the upstairs bathroom. The house has a washer but no dryer or clothes line. So we hung our clothes all over the house to dry. There are plenty of bath towels, but no beach towels. The king mattress is awful—squeaks and causes a back ache. But the full beds in the bunks are all great, so we slept in there. Also, you expect bugs in Costa Rica, but the downstairs windows and doors don’t seal, so you get a lot of creepy crawly visitors—like a scorpion in the bathroom. Surprise! With a little attention, the house could be nearly perfect!
