This property is on a quiet dirt road on Toddy Pond. The cottage is rustic but adorable. The view is amazing, the pond is so clean you can see the bottom. My teenage boys loved fishing from the canoe.
This was a perfect place to retreat to after seeing Acadia. My kids said this was the best cabin we've ever been to. Super cute. We enjoyed the kayaks and playing in the lake. Momo's 24/7 self-service cheesecake is a must. 86This! was delicious. We hope to be back.
This cottage is situated on a beautiful lake. The living room is positioned so you can stare at the big windows at the lake. It is nestled amongst trees and has stairs down to a sandy beach where it was set up to have a fire on the beach as well as chairs to sit in. This cabin is rustic and very quaint. The property manager was very attentive, welcoming, and friendly.
Our family had an amazing stay at the cottage. It was clean and cozy. Having a beach right outside was very convenient. We enjoyed kayaking and swimming. We had an awesome vacation and highly recommend this cottage and management.
Great cottage for our vacation, weather did not cooperate but we had a great time. We did find a full diaper on the beach that was quite disgusting but other than that no compliants!
You get your own beach with this place. You’ll want to be there all day. Great swimming and sunning. The cottage is cozy and well appointed. Would love to go back!
The house was in a great location. Unfortunately there was some housekeeping items that were neglected and I never got internet. The host was away but able to reach a friend to help clean and take care of some of the issues and she was gracious about refunding me some of the money.
This property is a hidden gem! It wasn't fancy but had all the necessities. The queen bed was beyond comfortable affording us the best sleep we've had in weeks. Though we didn't get to take advantage of the kayaks and beach because of windy weather, it was a lovely place to start and end each day.
It was a little further from Bar Harbor and Acadia N.P. then we had anticipated. Round trip was usually between 1.5-2 hours. But it was worth it to wake up to that view and have that kind of silence in the evenings.
We would definitely stay there again. Thanks for the hospitality.
This little cottage was the prefect get away for our family of 5. Our children LOVED the upstairs loft area and having their own little beach with the kayaks. The beach is beautiful and very relaxing. The loft area is more for children than it is adults. I would say the cottage fits 2 adults (bed downstairs) and 3 children (loft upstairs) perfectly. We did need to purchase some items (toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, cleaning spray, and a sponge)- so plan to bring those items with you. Everything else was provided- towels, cookware, glassware, Keurig machine, etc. Neighborhood is very quiet. Bar Harbor is about 45-50 min away. Communication was great. We did not have any issues with service. Overall we loved our stay! Thank you!
We loved our stay at this super cute little cabin. The view of the lake was so beautiful, the beds comfortable, and the place was clean. 😍
We were there in June and a heat wave came through with temperatures up to 95°. There is no air conditioning in the cabin and with those high temperatures it made sleeping uncomfortable.
The only other thing that was a bummer was that the next-door neighbor has a light that turns on at dusk and stays on ALL night near their dock. That light, ruins your stargazing and any night photos of the moon and the lake. I understand that the owners of this cabin can’t do much about their neighbors, but it was really disappointing (and unnecessary) to have light pollution at such a beautiful location. — Over all this little cabin is charming and we enjoyed our stay!
When we arrived ,after driving for 4 3/4 long days ,I spent the first day cleaning and scouring the stove , cabinets inside and out, the bath room fixtures , and front windows, fortunately it was raining ...but the view was
outstanding!. We left the place in pristine condition , clean, stocked with a new set of glasses, and necessary cleaning products. Nichole, you might want to hire a new cleaning service.
This cottage is a GEM! Gorgeous view , nice shore, and fire pit . We entertained dear friends for dinner, We cooked and ate more delicious fresh seafood .(Johnson's on Main St. in Blue Hill )
I would highly recommend this Maine getaway, on beautiful Toddy Pond .
Lots of great things about this property:
Views
Beach/Lake right out the door
Clean towels and linens
Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay
Book and game collection
Kayaks/Paddle boat
A few things could use improvements but did not negatively affect our stay:
Bathroom was a bit messy on arrival - hair and sand in shower
Wi-Fi hotspot was out of data but we did not inform the host as we didn’t need it
Many of the windows didn’t lock but we felt very safe
Wood was cracked in bedroom window and door
Many of the blinds were broken/didn’t work but this didn’t affect our privacy
We would return to this property for another visit!

Sweet property on a beautiful lake.
Our overall experience was good. We were two single women friends. One bedroom downstairs was perfect. However, the sleeping loft up a ladder could only be usable by children old enough to safely climb ladders up and down, and/or, younger, flexible adults under 5'2" tall. In the loft, the queen bed had no mattress pad and the blinds were missing from one window causing very early awakening! BBQ is rotted out and unusable. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to make a good meal and there were ample towels in the bathroom. All in all, a good stay, but should be stated that no man could fit in the loft without crawling on his hands and knees.

Pretty clean. Lift is very small. Ladder left out in the middle of the kitchen was a bit of a hassle. No locks in windows and a very small bathroom. Cooking utensils old and worn out. Pans Teflon’s scratched. Poor light in the kitchen area so difficult to cook after dark. Missing window shades on the side window and front door. We had to put sheets and towels up at night. Uneven flooring throughout the cabin. Tv s have Only a few channel selections. cable went out a few times. Bedroom tv didn’t work and a small water heater. I ran out of water while showering after my spouse. No dishwasher or washer and dryer. Beautiful views but very remote. Watch out for ticks and check yourselves and Your pets.
We had a wonderful stay at the Overlook. The view was fantastic, use of kayaks & fire pit was great & we totally relaxed with our pup. The only thing we could have used was info on where the transfer station was, how to get the bedroom TV to work (we figured it out, though) & a starter roll of paper towels. Aside from these minute issues, this is a wonderful cabin to escape to! I’d definitely stay here again!

Great waterfront view
Really like the fun and convenience of staying in a cabin. This property needs a deep clean and a lot of maintenance. 29 miles from Acadia and most days/nights took us about 50 minutes to drive. Furniture is worn out and uncomfortable to sit in. Shower worked well. Price was a lot less than a Bar Harbor hotel. Best part was the waterfront location.
