The stable rooms are perfectly sized. The grounds are amazing with a hint of the properties past as a stable, the former clay shooting stations, the creek with fish for fly fishing, and the open space make it a perfect retreat.
Secluded area if you want to relax for a weekend getaway. Close to a wide variety of activities that include food and beverages.
The hosts were super friendly. My daughter and I enjoyed an evening by the fire and conversation with them.
Definitely plan on coming back again
My husband and I stayed for two nights. Dan was a wonderful host. Thank you for the fire!! 🔥 We didn't want for anything. We definitely plan on staying again. Thank you so much. 😁
Start with the good because I own my own vacation rental. Cute idea of horse stables converted into guest rooms. Bed was fairly comfortable. They work hard on cleaning, the room an bathroom were spotless. Host has great communication.
Now the bad. 1. Very dated, like 50 years old. 2. Air conditioning didn't work in our room. We roasted with the humidity after a good rain. 3. Hope you like bugs, had to kill many mosquitoes and another leggy insect before bed. They need to fix how these bugs are getting in and hire a professional exterminator. Ant traps visibly placed don't cut it.
I feel it was highly priced for what we got but at the same time we were there for a large wedding where everybody in attendance needed a place to stay and most other properties were booked.
We stayed in a stable. Simple, clean accommodations with very nice lodge and grounds. We stayed on a busy weekend and could hear our neighbors but to be expected for rooms that back to one another. Very nice owners! Would stay again.
Convenient location for day trips to Cedar Point, Kelleys Island or Put-In-Bay. The shared space/amenities offered were ample, including a fridge, television viewing area, coffee maker and courtyard for grilling. Only drawbacks: the a/c thermostat doesn't stay set to lower temperatures all day, so it takes a while for the room to cool down when you first arrive, especially during the summer. Also, there's a lot of road work going on in the area and we got turned around a few times, due to closures. No fault of the property owners there. Comfortable bed and super nice set up overall, with well kept, beautiful grounds in a quiet, rural setting. We highly recommend this site.
I intended on finding a spot to lay my head on a two day trip to cedar point, but, this property really blew me away. I’m looking to plan a group trip next fall with friends just so I can stay here again. If you like a calm country setting, this is the spot! Very happy!
