Located on a quiet and private farm, the Palace of Lanheses is a magnificent and grand manor house, classified as Public Interest Monument for its architectural beauty, history and good condition, representing a cultural value of national importance.
It was built in the golden age of "Discoveries" for leisure and agricultural production, as well, as to the nobility of their noble lords.
Inside it is adapted to meet the comfort requirements of today while keeping the old style, the aristocratic family that keeps it for centuries has been always represented by the Counts of Almada and Avranches.

The welcoming art:
Today is also why, with great pleasure, the Palace of Lanheses puts the large and well exposed west wing at the house for the disposal of its guests. This happens both to friends who visit a for those who want to make holiday tourism.
It can be rented in two systems: in a free regime of self catering or bed & breakfast, enabling all to fully enjoy this refined space, indoor and outdoor, quiet and separately, with independence and well-being, in private, all year round.

Lieber Lourenco, liebe Rita, lieber Mateus, Ihr seid wundervoll! Eigentlich hatten wir nur einen zauberhaften Ort für unsere Traumhochzeit gesucht. Den haben wir hier zweifelsfrei gefunden. Gratis dazu gab es noch 600 Jahre portugiesische und Weltgeschichte. Tief traurig, diesen Ort verlassen zu müssen, werden wir aber immer voller Glück an die lieben Menschen zurückdenken, die unsere Träume wahr werden ließen. Manoir plein de charme

Superbe manoir pour ceux qui aime le charme des vieilles maisons de famille et souhaite découvrir cette belle région en étant proche de villes magnifiques et animées comme Viana do Castello , Guimarães et Braga.

Portuguese palace

A beautiful old mansion, very atmospheric. We enjoyed the garden, pool and local setting with horses, chickens, ducks, fresh fruit and vines. Great days out to waterfalls, beaches and pretty towns nearby.

A fantastic property and a wonderful host

This place is superb. A beautiful miniature palace, hundreds of years old, with stunning gardens and a fascinating history. Our host was attentive and friendly, and the surrounding area has it all, with delightful towns on the river and a stunning beach just 15 minutes away. We can’t wait to return.

Le calme de la campagne

Décor authentique, s' il n'y avait pas l'électricité, on se serait cru retournés quelques sciecles en arrière! Le propriétaire est un homme charmant et cultivé qui vous mets tout de suite à l'aise et bienvenus. Deux lieux à visiter absolument à proximité: Ponte de Lima et Barcelos!

Mini férias em Lanheses

Apesar de no início o tempo não ter ajudado, adorámos a estadia no Paço. A calma e a paisagem circundante são retemperadoras, para além da hospitalidade dos proprietários. No último dia o Sol permitiu-nos finalmente desfrutar do pequeno-almoço no exterior, com uma vista magnífica sobre a propriedade. O edifício é muito interessante, não só ao nível da arquitetura mas também pelas referências à sua história familiar. A adaptação à sua utilização turística foi muito bem conseguida, disponibilizando várias comodidades, sendo que a cozinha se mostrou providencial. A visita “guiada” pelas árvores de fruto e pelos jardins foi não só interessante como proveitosa: os limões que trouxemos irão fazer umas boas limonadas! Muito obrigada por um fim de semana inesquecível.

Simplesmente maravilhoso!

Quando chegámos ao Paço de Lanheses, só estávamos a pensar ficar cerca de 2 dias. Ao fim do 1º, já tínhamos decidido que valia a pena prolongar a estadia! O Paço em si, apesar da dimensão, é muito confortável e sentimo-nos imediatamente em casa. A zona circundante é simplesmente mágica - cheia de caminhadas (marcadas e não marcadas), miradouros, lagoas, cascatas, montanhas, praias e mil e uma coisas para ver - do Gerês, a Ponte de Lima, passando por Viana do Castelo e Espanha. Há de tudo e para todos os gostos - faça sol ou faça chuva. A cereja no topo do bolo foi, sem dúvida, o Lourenço - o grande anfitrião do Paço - que procurou, incansavelmente, garantir que nada nos faltava e que nos deu as melhores dicas! Iremos, sem dúvida alguma, regressar!
