Everything was perfect! From booking, to checkout- everything was such an easy process. The host did an amazing job making us feel at home. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend!
Brian and Diane's farmhouse was everything that I was expecting and hoping for. A comfortable, quaint, homey place to get away. These are also very polite and responsive hosts!
The home is very comfortable and extremely well stocked with anything you may need. The large screen TV was nice to watch college baseball on. The grill and fire pit was perfect for grilling our steaks. This home is a great place to stay if you are visiting Melvern.
Owners were probably the best we've ever experienced. The thought put into the accomodations is incredible. Communication was quick and effective. This old farmhouse was clean and comfortable. Our family of four are grateful to the host family.
Caveat Emptor. The 3rd paragraph of the description explains how the offered price (65) is only for ONE BEDROOM! Spirit Airlines of vacation rentals, couch is extra, other 4 bedrooms are extra, which brings total for whole house > 2.5x list. We found this out the day of check-in when the owner told us that only the main floor was for the listed price, even the pull out couch was extra! We were told to leave cash in an envelope if we used bedrooms 2-5 or the couch. To this end, I guess you do save on fees an taxes but I wish I'd known ahead of time.
Guests are asked to leave money for the morning coffee, as well as, money for any food consumed that was left by previous guests. (IDK??)
The mattresses are low end and not very comfortable. Directv and all appliances worked well. Picnic table outside was a nice place to sit for morning coffee. Very close proximity to Melvern Lake Marina!
Diane and Brian were prompt and respectful with their communcation. They messaged to inform us of a power outage the electric company was planning.
Property was exactly as advertised, clean, and very convenient for the work I was doing in the area. Dian was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Had a great stay.
Peaceful country home is perfect for non-camping lake weekends!
The Home Place is exactly as advertised! The home and property well well cared for, clean and very well stocked! Communication before, during and after our stay was great. After one question, which was answered promptly, we found the home easily. The home truly has everything you would need in the kitchen including an east to find extension cord, which we needed for my husband’s CPAP device. We really appreciated having a comfortable home and bed for our weekend at the lake with friends.
Unless you are staying in the Park you can't get closer to the lake!!
County period farm house with lots of amenities. Room to stretch out eat a meals with the family. We stayed here to fish with our church group and had a wonderful time. Sitting on the front porch with the summer breeze cooking fish and fry's it doenn'st get any better.
My friends and I used this family farm house as our home for a hunting trip in late December. The owners communicated great and were very reasonable. Highly recomend!
We had a great time. The house was immaculate and Brian and Dian had just the right amount of contact to make us feel welcomed and prepared (and not overwhelmed). We enjoyed the sunsets and the country setting was a great escape from our suburban lifestyle.
We needed a place to stay for ourselves and incoming relatives for a HS graduation. The Homestead had plenty of bedrooms so worked out perfectly for us.
