The 11,000 square foot, 259,000 gallon zero entry pool is DESTIN’S LARGEST LAGOON POOL! You'll be blown away by the 5 dancing waterfalls, walking bridges and spacious lounging area. There's a 21,000 gallon heated pool, children's splash area and whirlpool spa.

The Palms of Destin Resort features a 2,265 square foot state-of-the-art fitness center including elliptical cardio treadmills, cross trainers, bikes and summit trainers each having a personal entertainment system.

The Palms of Destin offers full size basketball courts and two lighted tennis courts, with complimentary equipment available from guest services in the resort lobby. The Palms of Destin also offers lessons and clinics taught by USPTA and USPTR tennis professionals.

Seasonally, the resort offers a complimentary three-minute air-conditioned beach shuttle to the beach access beside the Back Porch restaurant. Additional shuttles run to Destin Commons and Harborwalk Village. Please inquire with the front desk for information on shuttle times. The Palms is a smoke free complex with an array of amenities. Some amenities are occasionally closed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Great Resort!

We had a great stay at The Palms of Destin resort! The pool was wonderful and so close to the beach! The condo itself definitely needs some updating. The furniture, carpet, drapery was heavily used with old stains and discoloration. The condo was pretty clean. I think they need to cheapen the price as you can get a prettier and updated unit for the same price. I also didn't realize that once you book, there is no canceling at all.. no exceptions. Luckily weather was great and we had no reason to cancel. I will definitely return to this resort, but will book a nicer unit.

Love the JR Suite

Overall a great condo- really liked the Jr suite with 2nd bedroom and bath. Pool area was really nice and close to beach. The property management comany had great communication and great response times. A couple of less than positives- the condo needed a quick once over before we arrived from a dust etc. standpoint; we did have to call maintenance 2x during our 5 day stay for different issues one of which is that the primary bedroom did not have good airflow; the shuttle service was a bit unreliable and didn't run on Wednesdays (why?)- more upfront info could be provided upon check in. There were not enough towels- only 4 were provided and we understand thst they were not for the beach/pool but a few more could have been provided. We brought our own beach towels and ended up having to use them for shower. Last item is that the key cards were also unreliable- we had to get them pre- programmed at least once a day.

Filth

This was the most disgusting place I have ever seen. The carpets were filthy. We opened up the hide a bed at 11:30 at night for our foster son we just adopted. (The reason for our vacation) & they were dirty sheets, crumpled up, change/money, blood, food, crumbs, and the smell made me cover my nose. I went to my other sons bad, and it was in the same condition although the comforter was pulled up like the bed was made. There was blood on the sheets of three out of the four beds. Dirty handprints on the doors, black all over the light switches, a ball of lint sitting on top of the washer like they took it out of the dryer and left it there. I had to wash all of our sheets before we could go to bed at midnight after driving two straight days to get there. There were so many dirty dishes in the cupboard with dirty french fries and bowls and red Kool-Aid looking drink dried inside cups. Everything was so filthy that I had to go to the store next-door and buy cleaning supplies. I spent the whole first day of my vacation cleaning. I called our contact person and she gave us $180 cleaning fee back. I was happy she reached out to me and at least did something. At the end of our trip the same son who slept on that disgusting hide a bed had either lice or bedbugs. He could not stop itching. The contact person said she’s done enough by giving me $180 back and that was all they were willing to do. This completely ruined our trip and our celebration for our foster son’s adoption. Bad!!!

Very Clean/ Great Location

This rental was fantastic and super spacious. Fantastic for a family to stay in. We loved our shuttle driver that took us to the beach each day. Only bummer was the hottub onsite was ment for children 12 and over and where the water was cooler all the kids were in the hottub and it was overly crowded.

Dirty and Disappointing

Destin is a dream vacation destination, however this unit was far from a dream. We never received check information even though it is stated that it would be emailed 30 prior to check in. I called Real Joy 15mins prior to check in and was told I had to check in at the front desk of the Palms. Front desk staff was very nice and gave us card keys, bracelets, and a map with door codes for the resort. The Palms lobby area smelled of mildew as did guest bathroom in our unit. We also noticed the carpet in the living area was heavily stained, and could feel the sand particles on the ground. The entire carpet needed a deep clean and vacuum. We also noticed damage to a dining chair and the couch looked less than welcoming. Our disappointment with the cleanliness of the unit did not stop there, the next day we started to see small roaches on the counters in the kitchen and climbing up the walls of the master bedroom. Then I found a roach crawling on the frame of the bunk beds, and goldfish crumbs in the bed. (we didn't have goldfish crackers) From that moment on our children refused to stay in that room. I did send messages and began calling the management company about the issues. I was told they would send someone in to clean the stains on the carpet and vacuum, that they would change out all the linens, and they would send in a pest control person. When the maid came in that evening, she questioned me on what had to be done, then had me speak to her boss on the phone to approve the cleaning, I thought it was odd that I had to convince them to do what the management company had already ordered to be done. I never saw a pest control person come in, but did notice that roach traps had been placed in the kitchen. The third day we continued to see roaches and even had to throw out food, because we spotted the roaches on the kitchen counter again. I took pictures and called into the management company again, at which point they told me pest control would come into spray the next day (which was the day we were checking out). Ultimately I was told they their pest control people found no trace of roaches, even though I provided pictures. I asked to be reimbursed for a portion of my stay, the management company did approve a refund of 1 nights stay and a gift card. While they were quick to try to remedy the issues, after a year of no travels, our vacation was definitely disappointing. Would not stay here again and would not recommend.
