The historic North Idaho Inn is located in the heart of beautiful downtown Coeur d' Alene. All the rooms have been remodeled with modern upgrades and charming decor while providing an exceptionally clean and comfortable space. We are located within walking distance to restaurants, shopping and local attractions. This room is furnished with a full size memory foam mattress bed and a private bath. Our location is just a short walk to restaurants, pubs, art galleries, shopping and local attractions including Tubbs Hill and pristine Lake Coeur d' Alene. CDA gem

I stayed here last year and booked the same room when I knew I was coming back. If all you need is a cute, clean room and comfortable bed for your stay this place is perfect. Within walking distance of the busy part of Sherman Avenue (pubs, restaurants, coffee, shops etc).

The State Motel was purchased by local members of our community who saw the potential building and its' ideal location and wanted to invest in the small business community. We are locally owned and operated by individuals who love and appreciate living in Coeur d' Alene along with the beauty and lifestyle that comes with it.

Why they chose this property

This property was originally built in the 1940's and changed ownership several times before local investors saw the potential in it and purchased it. They remodeled all the rooms from top to bottom including new flooring and upgraded bathrooms while maintaining the historic charm of the original structure. While our amenities onsite or not as detailed as other resorts, we invite you to make yourself at home in our community. We don't have an onsite restaurant or bar but invite you to walk across the street or down the block for dinner and a drink and enjoy some of our local favorites. Walk a block and you have full access to fitness clubs and maybe grab a coffee on the way at the local coffee stand. Across the street is a bicycle rental shop as well as a convenience store. We are the perfect location to explore our town and all that it offers within a few blocks from your room.
