My fifth stay here and enjoyed it thoroughly. I enjoyed updates completed in the cabin. I enjoyed hikes in the mountains and hanging on the deck wildlife watching. Thanks Cheryl and Larry!
The Cabin was as described and off of the beaten path. Not to far though. The Cabin was clean and tidy. The communication was perfect and check-in was a breeze. They made it so easy it didn't even feel like you were doing anything. Within a 15min ride into town but when there you would swear you were hours away because of the nice quite location. There is plenty of hiking around Big horn to do or if you would rather just hang out it is very quiet and peaceful. Just what you need if you want to relax.
This was our 4th stay at the cabin. It has everything we need for our vacation. Cheryl and Larry are wonderful hosts. We always look forward to our next visit.
Our family has been to this location a few times and every time it has been amazing! We enjoy the wildlife and scenery! The location is relaxing, clean and the hosts are great! We will be back!
Our stay at Doubletree Cabin was everything we had hoped for. The proximity to the Bighorns allowed us to explore during the day and return to a quiet, comfy, clean cabin with all the necessary amenities. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Lovely cabin just outside of Buffalo city center. Very serene, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Comfortable and well-stocked.
Loved the location! Close to town but felt remote. Just what we were looking for. Awesome west facing deck with view of Bighorns. Nice and close to Crazy Woman Canyon
We stayed for 7 nights with our three children, 8,10 &11, we ALL enjoyed the Double Tree Cabin! This VRBO is a great taste of countryside living near the Big Horn Mountains, yet town is conveniently nearby.
Fabulous stay at this gorgeous cabin! It had all we needed to enjoy a week of hiking in the mountains nearby. Wonderful!

About the host
Hosted by Cheryl Gerard
My husband and I are Wyoming natives and have lived in Buffalo, Wyoming for the past 40 years. We moved to DoubleTree Ranch in 1994 and in 2016 acquired DoubleTree Cabin. We spent 3 years restoring, updating and maintaining this property and truly love the location, the quiet of the country, the starry night skies and the beautiful views.
Why they chose this property
This property is about 3 miles South of the town of Buffalo, but affords all who stay here the solitude and contentment of being in the country.
What makes this property unique
Hayfields to the East and North, cattle pasture to the South, gorgeous views of the Big Horn Mountains to the West. This is truly a paradise. White Tail and Mule Deer often wander by. Lots of birds live here and small wildlife are abundant. Water fowl use nearby pond habitat. A wonderful walking trail is adjacent to the county road only a 1/2 mile jaunt West of DoubleTree Cabin. Just follow the private road West to the county road to reach the Klondike Road Walking Trail.
