About this property

Beautiful Mews Lodge, in the countryside, 0.8 mile from town centre.

The Mews was built alongside the stables, old stone building in appearance , very modern internally. Large bedroom upstairs with a balcony overlooking the horse arena and beautiful countryside. A modern kitchen , French oak flooring, with all facilities , there is a large Velux window overlooking the River Bandon. Dining table and chairs . Downstairs there is the lounge area with satellite tv , including all the Sky premium sports channels. The lounge overlooks the grounds at the Gable end and over the horse ménage from the side windows.
Large space, modern decorations, comfortable seating etc.
There is a modern downstairs bathroom with power shower etc. Private car parking.

We had an incredible stay at the Mews/Cappagh Lodge. Dane, Sylvia and Laura could not have been more accommodating and gracious. We are in the beginning stages of our relocating to Ireland and Cappagh Lodge was our first home in Ireland for the first 7 weeks. Such a lovely location and so peaceful and quiet. We could not have asked for a better location in Kinsale and kinder hosts that have made our initial experience in our new home here in lovely Ireland so wonderful! It was an absolute pleasure to stay at the Mews! Beautiful location and close to downtown Kinsale. Everything we needed was made available and even included fresh bread and milk and tea! Would highly recommend this lovely spot!

Kinsale accommodation

This place is so lovely to stay in. The horses, alpacas and chickens add to its rural charm. The 20 min walk into town is an interesting jaunt up a hill on a rural lane and then down into town. Easy to prepare meals here and a BBQ is provided. The hosts are great and full of local knowledge. Would stay here again and recommend it

Two wonderful weeks in Kinsale

We couldn’t have been more happy with our holiday home in Kinsale. The apartment of Sylvia and Dane has everything you could possibly want: great location, plenty of space, fast wi-fi, Sky TV, good little kitchen area and just a good atmosphere to the whole place there. Will definitely try to book there again for our next trip to Kinsale.

A Bit of Heaven

Such a beautiful property! The Mews was perfect and the special touches; fresh bread, eggs, bananas, and comfy robes were very much appreciated. The setting couldn't have been better. Horses, llamas, and cows plus the beautiful landscape made our stay magical. And all of this was just one mile from town. Perfect!

Nothing is left out. The Mews was comfortable and well stocked. Fresh bread and eggs were waiting for us when we arrived. Lots or privacy and beautiful views. We stayed for 5 nights and loved every minute we were there. This is a great “base” for touring County Cork, or for spending time in Kinsale. Dane and Sylvia are amazing hosts with a beautiful piece of Irish country side to share.

Wonderful romantic cottage

This is an outstanding place. Sylvia & Dane were the best hosts you could have. The place is romantic and spacious for 2. The place has everything you need (tv, WiFi, books, dvd, games) to keep you entertained on rainy days. It is close to Kinsale, an outstanding lively town that is a joy to visit & to just spend time relaxing. I highly recommend ‘The Mews’

Wonderful stay at the Mews!

The Mews is a gorgeous property, comfortable, cozy and well appointed. We appreciated the delicious bread, butter and fresh eggs left for us. Laura was wonderful to deal with. Kinsale is a lovely town, lots of great restaurants. It’s an easy walk to town, but for the walk back at night, would recommend a cab, flashlight, or be sure to use the reflective jackets at the house. We can’t wait to come back.

Wonderful Renovated Stable/Barn

This place was just what we needed, and had everything. Don’t bother to shop before you arrive, your first breakfast is taken care of. Clean, light, airy and well equipped, including robes, and we wished for no change. Didn’t realise it was wall to wall and door to door with other sections (three) so noise needs to be considered by all but was no issue for us. If you’re bringing kids - be considerate of others, as some accom is couples. You also share laundry facilities so plan your washes well. It’s really lovely and clean and all you need is your clothes! Thanks for having us

The Beautiful Mews

First of all, a huge applause of appreciation for Laura, who was present to receive us and welcome us to Ireland. She was the manager extraordinaire. It was a lovely surprise to find fresh eggs, bread, butter, jam, apples and bananas to use for our visit. In addition, the apartment was well provisioned with everything that we needed, including extra adapters. There were lovely views from the bedroom balcony overlooking the equestrian arena and the green fields in the distance with llamas, a pony and chickens. It was situated near Kinsale, Cork and Cobh for the variety of tours and sightseeing venues that we wanted to visit. Thank you, Sylvia, Dane and Laura, for this lovely welcome to Ireland. We loved it!

Peaceful and Relaxing

The Mews is a peaceful and lovely place to stay. We would highly recommend it. The location is close to Kinsale abour 1 mile walk. It is quiet and comfortable. There is a kitchen to make breakfast with the lovely provisions provided including farm fresh eggs, biscuits, bread, fruit, coffee, butter and milk. There is a guest laundry which was great for us to only have to pack one bag. The location is short drive to Blarney Castle and Charles Fort is 10 min by car. It is about 3 hours drive from Dublin. Laura was great and let us walk the Alpacas that live on property. The Mews has a small balcony where you can admire the views of the farm. On a clear day you can see the water as well. We had a wonderful stay! Don't look to stay anywhere else, this is the place to rest and enjoy this part of Ireland.

Een oefening voor het Paradijs

Een prachtige comfortabele ruimte op een heel mooie plek vlak bij Kinsale. Heel aardige en attente eigenaren, - Sylvie en Dane, die zeer gastvrij waren bij de ontvangst en erg behulpzaam bij vragen. De manager Laura was eveneens zeer vriendelijk en attent.De omgeving is heerlijk rustig en de uitzichten zijn geweldig. De route er naar toe is avontuurlijk, door de smalle weggetjes en geeft mooie vergezichten.Een prachtige plek om daar vanuit de omgeving en Kinsale te verkennen. Kinsale is erg gezellig en uitnodigend, met mooie wandelingen o.a. de Scilly Walks. Het ligt niet op loopafstand van de Mews, vonden wij, maar de route ernaar toe. brengt je telkens weer naar een snel vertrouwde Cappagh Lodge.Sylvie, Dane en Laura, dank voor dit voorportaaltje van het paradijs!

Total netter Empfang. In der Küche standen scones, Butter und Marmelade. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett. Die Wohnung ist geräumig, wie auf den Bildern bei FeWo zu sehen ist. Auch die Entfernungsangaben stimmen. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt

Lovely Place!

This beautiful accommodation offered all the comforts of home! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook in, should we want to do so. The place is spacious and located on a horse farm, but close enough to restaurants and shops. that a short drive has you in the center of town. Seeing the horses everyday just added to the enjoyment of our stay. Owners are extremely nice and accomodating.
