Beautiful house in a lovely quiet area. Francine kept us updated and even let us know about local events for Bastille day. Really enjoyable time spent there and so great being walking distance from town. Hope to return in the future
Beautiful home that is a short walk from downtown but feels like it is in the French countryside. Very good communication with host and overall a very nice place to stay.
Please refer to the visitor who gave less than 10. it depends where the centre of town is designated. it took us about 20 mins to the Tourist information in the middle of town to walk. We were 2 couples and there are only 2 toilets, I believe this is normal for French lets, but I think that several families together could find this challenging! We liked the cleanliness, especially the bedding and the quietness being near the town.
A delightful property, well presented with top quality fixtures and fittings. There was nothing lacking.
A short walk to town to restaurants and shops but in a peaceful, tranquil area where the only sounds were those of birds.
We have stayed numerous times in the region but it was fantastic staying at this property as you are only a short walk away from the harbour. Honfleur is a beautiful place and this property has been ideal.
We were a party of 9, ages from 3 to 69. We’ve had a brilliant time!
We will be back I am sure - thank you so much Francine for allowing us to stay!
Excellent place to stay, relax and visit the town.
The house only has 2 toilets. This should be in the listing. A few more pillows would be useful too.
We love Honfleur! This was the perfect base for exploring D-Day sites, Giverny, and a Calvados distillery. There are many restaurants to choose from. We liked Escale and La Cidrerie. We enjoyed daily walks into town and browsing the weekly market. Returning to this quiet, spacious home was a treat.
The house is as beautiful as the pictures and everything worked perfectly. Francine met us upon arrival and wished us well on our final day.
Don’t hesitate: book this house!
We used this home as our base for touring the Normandy area. Although not as convenient for travel to Normandy the showers in each room were what made us decide on the property. Francine responded promptly to questions and when a small issue came up with a sink it was immediately fixed. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will return. The walkable proximity to a grocery store and the city of Honfleur made this a great place to stay. The outside patio was a perfect place to relax after touring. The kitchen is well-equipped to make and serve meals.
A beautiful old farmhouse, originally a cider press that has been sympathetically restored. Old beams and well are stunning features of this property that is set in amble gardens and surrounded by patios. The house and garden are well equipped for all a family needs for a comfortable stay. There is a large open plan lounge, dining room that leads to the kitchen and utility with a bedroom and toilet on the ground floor. All bedrooms have showers. An ideal location for exploring Honfleur centre, just a short drive or walk away.
Beautiful house with a great kitchen, living area and very comfortable rooms, each with a shower and sink. The outdoors is well-appointed and serene, especially considering the proximity to the town.
We were a touch disappointed with the amount of soap/essentials left for us, despite the list saying they were provided: no soap/shampoo/conditioner for the showers, very little hand soap in the dispensers, the minimum of toilet paper, little to no dish soap, noting that we stayed there a week. So plan to go shopping soon after arrival!
We would suggest to include the mandatory (additional )cleaning fee in the price as well — it would simplify things.
All things considered, we had a wonderful time!
Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a base to explore Honfleur
My family and I have just returned from a 3 night stay. It was perfect for our trip and communication with Francine was straightforward (communicating in broken French).
The property was great and exceeded our expectations. It was spotlessly clean and had really good facilities available. We particularly appreciated the extensive amount of crockery, glasses, and serve wear for meals that we had at the property. The Nespresso coffee machine was also a nice touch.
We would stay again and would definitely recommend this property to people wanting a base to explore Honfleur.
Some areas for improvement: we had to pay a cleaning fee, which wasn’t very clearly advertised on the listing. This was also surprising given that we were asked to strip the bed linen and take down to the washing machine area and get rid of the recycling ourselves. Check in instructions that direct you to the main road would also be useful as we found it difficult to find the property, although Francine was responsive when we called her about this. There was also limited supply of toilet roll, soap etc as a big group. We ran out of toilet roll and for ease, bought some ourself.

Bonjour,
This a very nice property- 20 min walk to city center, with great views, spacious and well appointed common areas, super clean, but absolutely uncomfortable when it comes to comfort of travelers in regards of basic needs. It does not have 4 bathrooms how it says in the description. It has one toilet on the ground floor with no sink, so to wash your hands you have to run to the kitchen . Second bathroom is upstairs and it is intended for use of everyone who lives in 4 bedrooms. Yes, showers are in every bedroom and sinks,, but they are tiny plastic boxes right next to the beds, no shampoo or soap. Bedrooms are very uneven, and if you are a large group of adults, someone will be at huge disadvantage, for 2 bedrooms are very small, and the 5th bedroom is not even a bedroom, it is just two twin beds in the hallway next to the bathroom and no door, just curtains for privacy. Mattresses in all rooms were very very hard and uncomfortable….
In my opinion, this cottage is good for 2 couples, because they can occupy 2 nice bedrooms - on the first and second floors, and kids… We were 3 couples, and it was very uncomfortable for the third couple to sleep in a full size bed and share a bathroom with another couple.
Honfleur is an absolute gem. Unforgettable town!
Verder was alles perfect!
