You could walk 2 minutes to see the Serrezuela, an important shopping center; additionally, you are close to The Public Clock, Inquisition Palace, Cathedral church, Santo Domingo Plaza, beaches, and a variety of traditional restaurants to enjoy. All them in the same small walled old city. You don’t need a car because everything will be close to you
