Stunning, new, unique, Caribbean front property in Punta Sur - Casa Carey!!

Enjoy spectacular unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea, Punta Sur and the Temple of Ixchel (for which the island is named) from this spacious home, terrace, balconies and large salt water pool! Many island houses have roof top views, but few have true Caribbean ocean front! This house is designed and built by acclaimed architect Ariel Adame! The large open kitchen, living and dining space look onto the Caribbean ocean with large glass doors that easily open onto a covered and uncovered terrace adjacent to a large salt water pool and yard. An open, marble spiral staircase takes you to three master bedrooms. Each bedroom has luxurious linens, large wardrobes, large en-suite bathrooms (with custom organic, 100% handmade Yucatán toiletries) and balconies with breathtaking views. Casa Carey sleeps 6 adults comfortably, 8 total with children. This house includes strong wifi throughout, flat screen smart tv, and spacious chef inspired, fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy all that Isla Mujeres has to offer, including SCUBA diving, fishing, swimming with whale sharks, snorkeling on the underwater museum and the sea turtle conservation center, to name a few. Casa Carey is named after Tortuga Carey, the endangered hawksbill turtle, which breeds in the ocean in front of the cliffs of the house! Casa Carey provides onsite housekeeping, pool cleaning and gardening every other day (or your preferred schedule). House keeping can provide onsite laundry service if needed! We are happy to assist and arrange airport transfer, ferry, golf cart rental, private chef, excursions, groceries, yoga, massage, reservations, taxi, and much more! Tips to our amazing property manager Sofia and staff, for concierge services provided are always appreciated!

Absolutely wonderful house and location on the island!

The house was extremely well laid out, super easy to vacation in, with every convenience covered! Sophia went above and beyond to make sure our excursions went off without a hitch. She was always available and eager to help in any way and a wonderful cook. Incredible vacation home, highly recommend!!!

Loveliest house

Absolutely dreamy stay in such a lovely very well appointed and cared for house. The views and pool and outdoor area are better than the pictures. House had more than everything we needed for a fantastic stay and we loved stayed near Punta Sur. Don't hesitate here- I'm not sure we could have stayed anywhere better on this island!

Amazing stay!!

We had an amazing time at Casa Carey. The house is beautiful and comfortable - exactly as it appears online. It was incredibly clean and very well appointed. I can't say enough about how great Sofia is - she made our stay completely hassle-free. She coordinated airport transfers, groceries, massage, golf cart, and 2 dinners at the house which were incredible. I highly recommend this property, it was a great experience all around.

Perfect House For a Couples Week

We went to Isla for a week with 2 other couples and stayed at Casa Carey. It was a perfect house for our group. It is decorated very tastefully, clean, with an amazing view being on the Caribbean side with a pool. Even though we didn't cook, since there are so many great restaurants on Isla, the kitchen was well equipped. Sophia and her staff were excellent. She arranged for golf carts to meet us at the ferry for the week and was always responsive to our questions. We would definitely recommend and stay at Casa Carey in the future.

Absolutely Fabulous

Casa Carey is amazing in every way. Sofia took great care of us from start to finish. Her recommendations were excellent. The view is amazing and we especially loved relaxing in the pool while looking out at the ocean. The house itself is exactly as pictured. The beds are comfortable and the overall layout is nice and spacious and bright. It's peaceful and quiet for sure. We rented golf carts for getting around to check out the action which was easy and fun. This place won't disappoint!!

Amazing!

What an amazing trip! The house was beautiful and Sofia was great! She met us as the ferry to take our luggage and had our golf carts ready to go. The house was spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed. When we come back, we will not need to decide where we want to stay because it’s going to be Casa Carey! Highly recommended house! Sofia was always available for anything we needed. Incredible!

Perfect & gorgeous in every way! Great location!

Everything was absolutely perfect! The home is incredible, perfect location, and amazing staff! The ease of everything made this stay perfect as well. Sofia is hands down THE BEST! She is organized, informative, and always ready to help or answer questions! She is also an amazing chef - definitely book her private chef experience! There is nothing I would change about this home! Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to enjoy your home! If you are considering booking, definitely do it! We will be back for sure!

Beautiful property and amazing property manager

House is beautiful and the views are incredible. Sophia was amazing, she checked in with me a lot to ensure all was well. The beds are very comfortable and clean. The pool was stunning and the towels by the door were a nice touch. Not having a washer or dryer is difficult and the floors made our feet dirty. But when I mentioned it to the property manager she has the cleaning crew take care of it right away. I would absolutely book this home again.

Even better than anticipated!

We had a wonderful stay! We were a group of six — four adults and two kids (age 7 and 10). The house had everything we might have needed, including pool floats, games, and a blender for frozen drinks. Coordination with Sofia before we arrived was easy. Highly recommend renting golf carts, she met us with ours at the port and we were on our way. The location on the southern end of the island is fantastic — walking distance from Punta Sur and a number of restaurants, easy golf cart ride to the grocery store and points farther north. We spent most mornings by the pool and then ventured out for an afternoon activity. The house was very clean, modern, and comfortable.

Pictures don’t do it Justice!

This casa is absolutely stunning. The views are incredible. We didn’t use many of the concierge services, but Sofia was wonderful to work with on what we needed, including last minute taxis for a rainy evening! We used the private boat transportation and rented golf carts, and had in-house massages! Everything was great. The pool views were seriously perfection. The house is further from the “downtown” area but there’s so many great things near the house! It’s walkable to Punta Sur - and I recommend that walk for sunrise! We would definitely stay here again. The only “downside” was the pool was a little yucky by the end of our stay. We couldn’t find a skimmer with the other pool things! It did storm in the evenings during our trip, and that could have contributed to the issue. Beds were comfortable, house was clean, views can’t be beat, lots of bathrooms, kitchen is gorgeous…. I would definitely recommend this house!

Absolutely Amazing

Our stay at Casa Carey was complete perfection. There are not words sufficient to describe the house, the views & the ambience. However, I will try. The home was immaculate, the beds were super comfortable, & the finishing touches & effort put into providing every possible necessity was amazing. The exterior of the house & views over the ocean were breathtaking. The pool was crystal clear & the perfect spot to take in the view of the ocean, cliffs, & Punta Sur. Sofia was our main point of contact & she was so professional as well as friendly & helpful. She arranged everything we requested & met us at the ferry with our golf cart. She was available for us as needed during the stay & shared her chef ability for a private meal at the house one evening at an extremely fair price. I do NOT have one negative thing to say. If you want to stay on the South end of Isla Mujeres this is THE house. We will return very soon.

Fantastic Getaway

We had a wonderful 10-day visit to Casa Carey. We have visited Isla multiple times and enjoyed this property and the staff very much. The pictures are spot on. It has a great and well-furnished kitchen, unobstructed views over the Caribbean as well as towards the North (no house on next lot), two bedroom with fantastic views including decks and a third in the back. Each of the three bedrooms has its own luxurious bathroom. Quality of construction and materials really high. AC worked well. Exposed to wind which also offered good cooling. The outdoor furniture was very comfortable and seated 6. Great dining spaces both indoors and outside. Wonderfiul pool. The pool toys were a nice touch. Great running possible and easy visits to the mayan ruins, Playa Lancheros, Mango Cafe and more. Beyond the lack of a dishwasher, the only minus is that, as compared to some other nearby properties, the common area isn't as easy/comfofrtable to assemble everyone for a movie or games. Certainly possible but not as large/cozy sofas for 6 as other properties. The circular staircase is stunning but does take up a lot of the indoor space. The staff were great communicators and facilitated anything we asked for including golf carts ready on arrival. Really a fantastic property and a wonderful getaway!!

Couldn't find a complaint even if I tried

The most perfect vacation! We booked this house months before actually traveling after much research and reading other reviews. We had many questions, as it was our first time to the island. Sofia corresponded back and forth with me answering all our questions prior to traveling to Isla. She and her team made our stay beyond what was expected. She helped us with scheduling transportation, met us with our golf carts upon arriving to the island, led us to the property carrying our luggage in her car, and then walked us through the house sharing all the tips with us. The house was AMAZING. Walking in to a HUGE arrangement of fresh flowers and a breathtaking view blew us away. She had calming music playing and it felt as if we were in a spa. The house is equipped with everything we needed such as pool floats and towels, an outdoor speaker, lounge furniture, kitchen necessities, and an endless supply of drinking water! We assumed we would need to buy water bottles at the local grocery store, but they have a water dispenser on hand, and had refills delivered throughout our stay. Additionally, she kept the freezer stocked with bags of ice as she explained that the ice maker doesn't always keep up with demand. This was extra unexpected treat. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. Casa Carey and the staff blew our minds. The included housekeeping was above and beyond. They even washed and folded some clothes for us. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Stunning Casa Carey

Casa Carey was the perfect place to call home In Isla. The location was on the quieter side of the island but quick easy access to the action. There are views from every room, and the home is comfortable, modern elegance. We had groceries waiting for us that we requested and can transfers that was seamless from the airport to the ferry and a golf cart waiting for us to ride to the house. We spent a lot of time relaxing at the house and trying new restaurants. After driving the entire island and exploring, we knew we had picked the right place. There are walking trails all along the water”s edge with iguanas and beautiful scenery. You were not able to access the beach close to the house due to the crashing waves but the view pool side and the walks were perfect. There are plenty of areas to use the beach AKA Beach club The only little hiccup we had had nothing to do with the home is the neighbor had a full DJ party bash the first night til 2 am outside. My older girls did not mind and it was only one night. They seemed to be having a blast over there. LOL We would 100% stay at Casa Carey again! The gorgeous home and setting, comfort, space, location, wonderful staff, and overall peacefulness of the place. Great job to the owners and staff (Sofia is great) We have traveled all over the USA, Greece, Paris, Turks and Caicos, London and more. We travel with 3 girls and a home base matters so much as we are picky. This was ideal for us as a family. Thank you so much 💕

Exceptional Rental on Isla Mujeres

It's hard to summarize Casa Carey. It is, without a doubt, the nicest VRBO we've stayed at in Mexico, and we've rented alot of properties over the past 25 years. The house doesn't show any wear and tear, which is amazing. The furniture is all pristine, inside and out. Honestly, the pictures don't do the property justice. If you a are looking for a 3 bedroom peroperty on Isla, this is the place to stay. Water pressure was excellent, never had an issue with hot water even with 3 showers going. Beds were the best we've slept on in Mexico. The kitchen was fully stocked, and there were even Chedruai bags to use for shopping. All AC units worked and not one of them smelled musty. Things to consider... There is only one safe and it's rather small. So leave larger valuables at home. The ocean front bedrooms have a large sliding glass door with very light window treatments. So if early morning light is bothersome, bring a sleep mask along. Finally, the pool is not heated, so it can be chilly. However, it's smaller than other properties we've rented in the past so it felt fairly comfortable by mid-afternoon. Sofia was excellent with communication during our stay and the young lady that did housekeeping also did a great job. This house is the real deal. We would absolutely stay here again when visiting Isla. The location is great to get away from the hustle of centro, yet it's close to many great restaurants mid-island. Highly recommend Casa Carey!
