We provide linens, pillows, comforters, washcloths, and towels for your stay.

We don't provide wood for the fire pit. It can be purchased in bundles at many locations throughout the area. Do not cut down our trees or break off branches, though feel free to use anything already on the ground.

We also supply a personalized digital guidebook. It will contain info about the cabin, door code, wifi, address & directions, local restaurants, and even some attractions.

⏤ Your Safety & Well-Being is Important to Us ⏤

We believe in providing a comfortable and safe environment for our guests.

Our housekeeping partner has always had a strict cleaning regimen that is performed after every guest stay. That is designed to increase protections for our guests and our team members.

♨️ Hot Tub: Drained, cleaned/sanitized, and refilled after every guest; fresh Bromine added.

🧺 Linens: laundered and processed in a commercial facility with temperatures that exceed those recommended for laundry operations; disinfectant added as appropriate; dried at recommended temperatures; and, packaged until put out for guests.

We have installed smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, noise monitoring device, and a fire extinguisher.

Due to updated county fire regulations, we do not have a grill.

⏤ Road Conditions ⏤

The private road to the cabin is only partially paved, with most of it being gravel and dirt. There are some places where the grade could be considered a bit steep. During the wet seasons, potholes and ruts can develop. It is a privately-owned road we have no control over, but the owner does have it regraded as needed.

Low-riding vehicles (sports cars, some minivans, etc.), trailers, and motorcycles are not suitable for the private roadway.

It is best to have AWD, 4WD, or chains just to be safe as even summer rains can affect the road. You should view a video of the drive (after turning off main road) on by searching the Internet for "#mountainair37862". Past guests have said the video was very helpful.

MOUNTAIN AIR's driveway is a mix of gravel and dirt, but is well-maintained. We have parking for 2-3 vehicles, depending on size. Turning around involves a 3-point turn or more, depending on vehicle size.

Please remember you will be staying in the mountains and mountain roads can be tough at times. We can not and do not guarantee any road surface conditions, especially during Winter. Most public roads are well maintained but can be winding, steep, and/or bumpy. It is not unusual to have roadways blocked or damaged by downed trees, especially after rain/snow or high winds. You are responsible for your own transportation. We cannot provide any transportation for guests. Weather conditions can be very unpredictable, and it is your responsibility to come fully prepared. We do not refund due to weather, road conditions, or the location of the property on the mountain.

⏤ Wifi, Phone, & TV Services ⏤

Cellular signals are generally weak at the cabin. We have added a signal booster indoors, near the kitchen, but results can vary.

We offer DishTV, a house phone, and basic 6mbps Internet w/Wifi (speeds cannot be guaranteed and are not be suitable for streaming TV/video). Weather or other issues can affect their operation and performance.

*NOTE we are in line for StarLink Internet which will be a big boost to speeds.

⏤ Booking MOUNTAIN AIR ⏤

Once booked, you will receive a confirmation message from us (Remarkable Vacation Rentals) with a link and instructions to finalize your booking on our secure website.

The booking guest must review and sign our Rental Agreement, a sample of which is available. This agreement must be digitally signed and returned to us **within 24 hours of booking**. A copy of the signer's valid government-issued ID must also be submitted. We also need a credit card for the security deposit and a list of names & ages for all members of the party.

Each booking includes our own Accidental Damage coverage, so it is not necessary no to buy your own.

There is a refundable security deposit of $300 to cover any non-accidental damages or costs. This is done as a "hold" on the credit card and is initiated a few days before your arrival. It is released after your departure and our team's inspection.

We ****STRONGLY**** recommend you consider obtaining Travel Insurance for your trip, especially if your stay is during winter months, or if you are concerned about possible cancellation due to health issues, government policies, or other reasons. You will be presented with an opportunity to purchase a policy as a convenience to our guests offered by our service provider -- not by us. You can also acquire coverage from many online sources, but make sure you are clear on what they do and do not cover. Note that we are not a party to any travel insurance but will cooperate in providing any needed information should you need to file a claim with them.

⏤ CANCELLATIONS ⏤

Be sure to read and understand our cancellation policy, which is generous. We will not be responsible for any cancellations outside of our policy - that is what Travel Insurance is for.

Guest receives 100.00% if cancellation occurs at least 15 days before arrival; No refunds within 15 days of arrival.

Cancellations will incur a fee of at least 3%.

⏤ Special Note ⏤

We have found that guests are better prepared and enjoy their stay more when they have read the entire listing. To verify, please include the phrase "BLACK BEARS" somewhere in your booking and/or inquiry.

Private Getaway
Very secluded, clean and comfortable. Road going up to mountain was very bumpy a lot of pot holes but once you get there everything was perfect! Would rent again.

Very private
Our family of 5 had a nice stay at Moutain Air. The home is very private and in an ideal location for anyone wanting to stay away from the crowds of Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge (especially during spring break). The home was well stocked - we ate most of our meals here. The hot tub was great for relaxing after hiking all day. We also saw a small bear next to the cabin, which was a highlight. The road to the cabin is steep in several places and was a bit unnerving coming in the first time in the dark. While the description says 2-3 cars can fit, we think it would be very difficult to manuever especially if they are suv or larger. Overall this was as expected and what we were looking for.

Stunning retreat
This is a gem of a property. It’s tucked away from prying eyes with year round greenery (even in Feb.). The hot tub works great and offered lovely views. It was a well cared and clean cabin. The only downside is the road there is a little rough, we got up it fine in my 2WD, but it would have been better with a 4WD. Overall though, we will definitely book again and eagerly anticipate it!

Get Away
This is the spot to get away from the hustle and bustle . Quit and cozy. Off the beaten path .. Had a nice stay. The fireplaces are a nice touch. My daughter and wife loved it . Did a little exploring down in the creek , and got a little exercise hiking up and down the country roads.

Why they chose this property

Mountain Air is very secluded, creating a retreat from the busy world for a bit and chances to enjoy nature. There are no other cabins in sight and, at night, the only sounds are usually yours and mother nature's. The grounds are only lightly landscaped to maintain a more natural feel.

What makes this property unique

Renting a cabin, such as Mountain Air, is not like renting a hotel room -- its different, but so much better!

Secluded in a wooded area with a creek and wildlife around, yet only 15-20 minutes to the attractions areas. Its a great location! No other cabins looking down on you and you might not even see another person in the area during your whole stay!

All of the cabin and grounds, except for the crawl space and cleaning closet, are open to guests,
