The unit DOES NOT HAVE A SIDEWALK OR A PAVED OR STONE WALK WAY TO THE RENTAL UNIT. I have 6 seniors trying to navigate a grass slopping hill from the parking location to the rental property. I was very dangerous
We had an amazing time in cottage # 5, perfect size for four. It was comfort ,cozy and quiet. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Last day before we left we enjoyed game night with games the host supplied. Definitely will come back.
This property was perfect to get to all the places we went too. Mount Rushmore & Custer State Park. It had everything we needed to make the stay perfect. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend this property fro anyone to stay.
Our family really enjoyed our trip and this property.
It’s a fantastic location and very close to many of the most popular spots.
Some minor things could use improvement like upgraded bedding and maybe a little cleaner, but would stay here again.
Thanks!
We found was very centralized to all the places we wanted to visit so did not take us long to get to each area. The home was very comfortable. Very quiet to stay at. Very clean and was enough room for 6 adults to stay. Lots of kitchen appliances to be used. We all enjoyed our stay.
Great property and location. Central to restaurants and all the sites. Would definitely recommend.
Easy renting online. Property was clean and comfortable for a party of 6 with two kids. Very central to all of the sites in the Black Hills. We enjoyed using the jacuzzi and fishing the stream as well as looking out at the fantastic views!
What a gem to find between the holidays! We had a great stay. Only suggestion would be to have some hooks for coats maybe? Beautiful country as always and saw lots of wildlife on this trip! Thanks for the great home away from home!
This was a great central location for the things we wanted to see in the Black Hills. Property is well maintained and loved the floor plan. We had a couple of small issues with the cabin and the Management answered our text immediately and took care of them right away. Would highly recommend this property.
The cabin was the perfect place to stay if you don't want to be in the high-traffic area of Sturgis or Deadwood but want to experience the ride and the people. Hill City was fun and it was a nice ride to all surrounding towns, downtown Sturgis and even closer to Custer, Needles High Way and Mount Rushmore. The cabin itself was perfect for six people and parking was just right for bikes and a car. We would definitely stay here again.
Great location, nice cabin, central to everything. I would reccomend updating the very worn living area furniture as well as the beds. They are not comfrontable.
The location of this property is centrally located for Black Hills attractions. Our three generation group found the cabin spacious, comfortable, and furnished with everything we needed for our stay. The stunning mountain view, outdoor space for the kids to run about, and the hot tub made spending time outdoors very enjoyable. The large living space and bedrooms and baths allowed privacy and time to rest and regroup before the next day's adventures.
It was a "grand slam" vacation!

Very nice
The house was very nice and very clean. We enjoyed our stay. Our only complaint would be lack of a supply of toilet paper and soap. We had to replenish both. We would stay there again when in Hill City

very nice place to stay exceept for the lady that lives two houses down she is not very nice at all she yelled at my mom and a very good friend of mine for parking along the road long enouigh to unload two utvs
Overall, it was a very comfortable place to stay. Several light bulbs out, drainage needs to be fixed, and not much space left to put our stuff. Just suggestions to make it a little more user friendly. Loved that it had a hot tub and very close to all the places we wanted to see. Quiet even though it was close to the highway.

Thank you for letting us know about your stay! While we strive for excellence, issues do arise so we appreciate your feedback. We were unaware about the light bulbs that were out and drains being clogged at the home. That does happen from time to time as it is used by many guests. If you had let us know, we could have taken care of those issues during your stay. :) Our maintenance person has taken care of these issues and unclogged the drains in the tubs so it's ready for future guests. Thanks again!
Home was clean and enough room for all of us. Nice movie selection and kitchen well stocked with dishes and other gadgets. Hot tub was clean and well maintained. Bring bug spray as there are some mosquitoes outside. AC worked well. Deer frequently seen in the morning or evening across the creek. Nice neighbors. Weather was comfortable enough to sit outside to read in the morning, and relax in the evenings under the covered porch area.

Good, but not Great
For the price/night, we were expecting this to be Great. It was good, but not great - there were some housekeeping issues and the home has some maintenance issues to be addressed.
Pros: The house is so close to this cute little stream that's stocked with trout. Our kids had a BLAST fishing! Also, it's SUCH a central location. 15 mins or less to most of the big attractions. We did Mt Rushmore, Chuckwagon Dinner, Crazy Horse, 1880's train to Keystone and back, Reptile Gardens (twice it was so awesome, they give a free pass for the whole week with your first entrance fee), Custer, Sylvan Lake and the Wildlife Loop at Custer State Park, Sheridan Lake, Wind Caves National Park - it's central to ALL! Amazing location, for sure. And the house was well-stocked, kitchen wise. BBQ was great. It has oils and sugar and coffee filters and all the basics, which was nice. A lot of random electrical appliances - george foreman lean mean grills, old school giant popcorn machines, electric salad spinners... it made us lol and wonder if the owners ditched their unwanteds here. Haha! :)
Re the housekeeping, I had called 10 days early to arrange check-in at 3pm so we could make a chuckwagon dinner on time. We were told that would be just fine, but upon arrival at 3pm the housekeeper wasn't even there, let alone completed. We ended up unpacking our suitcases on the driveway to get out coats for the dinner and not checking in until late that evening. The bathrooms were missing white towels and there was half used shower gel, the hot tub wasn't filled all the way and was uber-chemically and cold. The two bedrooms closets had pillows and linens and home decor just strewn everywhere, looked very dirty. Maybe some baskets would help? All in all, you could tell that the poor housekeeper was overworked.
There were some maintenance items as well that we already discussed with mgmt, no need to bring up here again as I'm hoping they will address.
Even though it was a cool and rainy week, the house ran very hot - upstairs thermometers stuck around 80 degrees. There is a wall AC unit in the loft to their credit. :) I would plan on putting kiddos in the loft rather than adults as it's so bright it's not a great place to sleep in. It was very safe tho, no safety concerns.
Thanks for the fun time!
