Hodnett Cooper Vacation Rentals is pleased to offer Shipwatch #309 which is a two-bedroom, two-bath oceanfront residence. The Shipwatch community is located on St. Simons Island on a desirable stretch of beach between Massengale Park and the historic Coast Guard Station. Shipwatch has been a favorite family destination for many years. And with just 52 residences, Shipwatch is a quiet community for weekend getaways or a comfortable snowbird destination during coastal Georgia's mild winter months.

Each vacation rental residence features two bedrooms, two full baths, a combined living, dining, and kitchen area and a private balcony. Shipwatch #309 is located on the top floor with a partial ocean view. The kitchen has been fully renovated with all stainless appliances and guests will enjoy updated bathrooms throughout.

Community amenities include boardwalk access to the heart of St. Simons' sand beaches, a swimming pool, volleyball area, large grass lawn and outdoor grills.

Great family getaway

Complex is on the beach, with a cute pool that was clean. Easy to walk to great restaurants! Our condo was perfect for our family, and we loved the balcony.

July 2021 Family Vacation

My wife and I had a great week at shipwatch and on the island in general. Great access to the beach and pool was very nice as well. Would love to stay here again or maybe own our own unit one day!

The apartment was very nice and we enjoyed the pool and beach access. Very thankful for the elevator and luggage trolleys! The rental was clean and listing was accurate. The only negative we had was that there’s little air circulation in the bedrooms so it would get warm when we were sleeping. Ceiling fans would greatly help in the bedrooms!

Family weekend

I was happy with the building however in order to get to the beach from the location you had to walk through a swampy marsh. My children, sister and I were covered in mosquito bites just from walking to the beach and back.

Great place on SSI

Very happy with this condo. While it didn't have a view of the ocean you just had to walk out your front door to see it! Enjoyed being on the 3rd floor so no one above you and also unit 309 is a corner unit so it's very quiet! Beautiful complex, nice pool, secure, lots of parking and nice walk to beach access. If you are looking for a beach vacation in SSI this one is pretty awesome!

Great girls weekend!

A couple friends and I were looking for a central place to meet and spend a long weekend and in spite of quite a bit of rain during and prior to our stay we had an amazing time and the location and condo was perfect for our needs. We appreciated some of the extra touches in the kitchen and how well equipped it was. We will definitely consider staying again! For future guests, be aware that if it has been very rainy and there’s standing water that the bugs will be really bad as you’re walking out to the beach especially early in the morning and late in the evening. We were still able to go enjoy the beach though! We were just strategic about it.

Weekend Trip

We were looking for somewhere for a weekend stay, and I found this listing on VRBO. The room was clean, but very outdated. There were no sheets or pillowcases for the pullout bed, so we had to run somewhere and purchase them! Also, be prepared to walk over a mile through water and marsh to get out to the beach! That part isn't shared with you! So, you have to drag everything through mud puddles and grass to even get to the beach!

perfect beach getaway

No ocean view from condo. Condo was clean with adequate supplies, but dated. Beds were very comfortable. New carpet or tiled floors in the bedrooms would be nice. Current carpet was old and stained. None of the security gates were closed. Access to the beach was unpleasant, very wet and marshy with horrific mosquitos. Had to drive to other beach accesses to avoid them. We very much enjoyed the beach and all the shops, historical sites, etc. We will definitely come again to enjoy this beautiful island

Great for beach lovers

Very nice and convenient location. Boardwalk to beach directly from property which was ideal for us. Nicely remodeled unit with all the amenities we needed. Great for up to 4 people. Would be tight for larger families.

This is an older condo with small units. Perfect for a short stay; for a longer stay or more than two people I would prefer a bit more space. But the location was perfect and had all that we needed.

Great location! Relaxing

Unit was conveniently only a short walk from the beach. Beach was very clean. View from 3rd floor deck was beautiful! The 2 bedroom unit was nicely updated. Great for my family of 5. Bed mattresses could use to be replaced. The couch cushions were worn and sunk in quite a bit. Overall the place was clean and nicely equipped.
