The Space:

1 Hickory Lane is the ideal getaway vacation home for your next family vacation on Hilton Head Island! As you walk through the front door of this house you already feel at home. This spacious vacation property offers 6 bedrooms plus a 2 twin nook along with 4 full bathrooms, and can sleep up to 18 guests. The open floor plan of this home makes it very easy to entertain a large party. The living room is beautifully decorated with a coastal theme, and has a gorgeous brick accent wall. You’re going to love the newly upgraded wet bar complete with its own ice machine for your favorite drink. Tastefully decorated with a coastal theme, the new kitchen and dining floor create a warm feeling. New large screen TVs in both living areas make watching your favorite show or event easy no matter where you are sitting in the spacious rooms.



The fully-equipped kitchen opens up to the living room and offers plenty of counter space to cook. The kitchen and dining area feature a new upgraded tile floor which creates a coastal vibe with warm tones. From the kitchen there is access to the sunroom that is an additional living room area of the home. The sunroom has windows all around, overlooking the outdoor area including the on-site pool.



The bedrooms are also decorated with a coastal theme, making you truly feel like you are on vacation. The bathrooms of this home have gorgeous subway tile scaling the shower walls and floors. This home is conveniently located right down the street from Coligny Plaza and is only a short walking distance away from the beach.

Perfect for big family

We had a great stay! The pool was cleaned frequently throughout the week and the property was perfect for hosting everyone in our large group. We loved the screened in porch where everyone could hang while the kids played in the pool. The short walk to the beach was also nice as it brings you to a quiet portion of the beach away from crowds. We would definitely stay again!

This property worked great for us; 8 adults and 8 children from 3-15. Plenty of extras like beach towels and games. Several rooms to accommodate different activities! Great location for the beach. The only drawback is the one bathroom on the main level that is shared with a bedroom but otherwise super happy and would definitely rent again

Perfect vacation home for a larger group!

This house was great for our mixed age group. The two separate spaces for watching movies, having conversations, etc. we’re terrific. The pool and fenced yard were perfect for people and dogs! The 3-4 minute walk to the beach was easy and the location of the house to shopping very convenient. We will be back!!

For an older home, it is a nice property close to the beach. In the heat of July, the walk out thoug not long was tough some days. It wasn’t five star cleanliness. There is mold growing in the ceiling of the open staircase. Shrubs around the house and trees could use a trim. My husband saw a baby snake the day of checkout. Hot water issues on lower floor last full day were taken care of pretty quickly. Mattresses were rough. It suited our family’s needs.

Perfect house for our vacation!

You won’t be disappointed with this house for your family vacation! The (short) path to the beach is right across the street from the house. I never timed it, but I’m guessing a 3 minute walk from front door to toes in the sand. We paid to heat the pool since we were there in late March and it was perfect! The pool company came to clean the pool at least twice the week we were there. I had a question about the pool and texted Steve and received an immediate response and an offer to stop by to show us how to use the equipment. The location was perfect for us. Just 1.2 miles from Coligny Plaza (I only know the exact mileage because I ran the bike path that runs from the house there multiple times) and .5 miles from Sea Pines. So close enough to stuff but far enough away from the public beach crowd. We brought our dogs with us and they loved the fully fenced-in backyard! The dogs are allowed off leash on the beach in March (and in the morning and evenings in April) and they were living their best lives :-) We will 100% stay here again the next time we vacation in Hilton Head!

HHI with the family

I've stayed at this property before (many years ago) Home is basically the same with no noticeable updates. Not wanting to be picky, but here are some minor things we felt needed fixing or replacing: Goose neck light in main floor bath needs to be fixed or replaced. The soft close commode seat in the same bathroom needs replacing, the dang thing had to be held up. In addition to the outdoor shower head, it would be great to have a water hose attached to the water spigot on the patio as you go into the side entrance past the garbage cans. This would make it much easier to wash off the pups after a day on the beach. It’s very difficult to wash sand off dogs using the existing outdoor shower head. Kitchen cabinets and kitchen utensils/cookware are old and dated. Should be updated.

House was great. Backyard had a ton of privacy and the pool was kept in great condition. House was sparkling clean when we arrived. Communication with Steve was excellent and he assisted with any questions we had. House is only around five minute walk to the beach which was awesome. Would definitely stay again.

Spacious backyard and large pool. Inside was also very spacious with incredible great room with 30 ft. Ceiling and 85” TV. Dining area sat up to 10 at table. Back room Tv was 55” and really neat relaxing room. Spacious bedrooms. Only downside which was minor is it was across street from beach and a hard 3-5 minute walk through sand ridden path.

Awesome house for Family

This house was perfect for our week long stay. There was more than enough room for four families with 3 toddlers to spread out and not feel like we were in each other’s way. The different dining options were great as well as all the bedrooms. The beds were very comfortable and we all loved the pool! Very easy walkable path to the beach and also a great bike/walking path right outside the door! The kitchen was over stocked with every utensil and cooking ware you could imagine! I would highly recommend this house for a fun, relaxing family vacation!

Fantastic Family Vacation

We had an amazing time on Hickory Lane. We have stayed in Sea Pines in the past and this location did not disappoint. The beach was walkable, and the house had two wagons and tons of beach stuff to use. The beach felt like a private beach at times! There are some things that weren't ideal for our group but that had more to do with the dynamic of our families. One bedroom is in the middle of the chaos but other than that this house is more than equipped to handle a large group, I actually think the kitchen is better stocked than mine! We easily fit 18 people without feeling like we were stepping on toes or in each others way. We had an incident thanks to one of our toddlers and Steve was super responsive and helpful. Highly recommend this house.

Perfection!

Just perfect! The house was exactly what we were hoping for. Lots of space for everyone to gather and have their own space. The pool and hot tub were wonderful and the fully fenced in yard was just what we needed for our dog. Easy, quick walk across the street to the beach and and a nice walk to all of the shops and restaurants in Coligny Plaza. We were so happy we made reservations for next year while we were still there. The best!

Perfect property for our family of 10. A great layout. Great beach decor. Kitchen was stocked with all the comforts of home. It's a 2 minute walk to a beautiful beach which felt like we had all to ourselves. The pool and hottub were everything we'd hoped for. Wonderful family home close to beach

We had 15 in our group, ages 4 to 73, plus two dogs. This house was by far the most comfortable we've rented due to plenty of seating and cozy spots. The sun room was a great bonus. Besides the pool and spa it was very nice having a completely fenced yard for pups and kids. It also added to our privacy. Not mentioned on line were a beach cart, pool floats, a couple of beach chairs, and a keurig. I will note that the 1st floor bedroom with twin trundles is now a room with bunk beds. Uncomfortable for a single adult. Also there is just one bath room on the first floor. Not ideal. The noise level is high. Bring ear plugs. Mosquitos and flies are an issue. A few things are a little worn, but the house is decorated so nicely. The master bedroom on this floor has French doors to the sun room. There is an extra twin mattress in the bunk room and upstairs in the master which is nice to have. Upstairs is arranged nicely. A cute nook for little people in the flamingo room is fun. The bathroom that two bed rooms share is separate so no one needs to enter another's room. The pool was a big plus as well as the private beach a few minutes away on a wooded, dirt path. Everyone loved this house!

2021 HHI Vacation

This property provided more than enough space for our large family, was well furnished and was just a short walk to the beach. The pool and hot tub were an evening focal point for family gatherings. Steve was very accommodating and was very responsive to any questions we had. Lots of fun here.
