"Zoka was the most amazing host I've had, she was so welcoming and accommodated our every need. My partner and i have a cozy beautiful romantic getaway for the weekend, the place was decorated so beautifully. She made us feel so welcomed. I highly recommend staying here. Will be coming back".

"I stayed at Zoka’s place for a few nights while in Whitby. While to location was a bit of a walking distance to the downtown area (20 minutes or so), by vehicle it was only about 5min. The area was very quiet. The apartment is in the basement and had all the features on would need for a great stay. Zoka lived upstairs with her family and was barely noticeable. Overall, I would stay at Zokas place again and would recommend it to others who are looking for a quiet place to stay".

I have a deep and true love for our home. When my husband and I first saw it, it was just a rental and in terrible shape. But the moment I stepped inside, time seemed to slow down. It felt like a movie playing in my mind—I saw our future unfold right there.
I pictured our kids, little at the time, chasing each other and laughing. Then, in the next scene, they were grown, coming home from college, filling us with pride. And finally, I saw my husband and me as grandparents, joyfully running after grandkids from one room to another. It all happened in an instant, but I felt it so deeply in my heart. When I looked into my husband’s eyes, he knew exactly what I felt. This was the one. This was our home—our family’s future.
It took us years to renovate and make this house everything we dreamed of. Every stone, sink, light fixture, and detail was chosen and placed with love. Now, it’s our dream home—a place full of laughter, good food, music, and memories.
Hosting has always been part of who I am. It brings me joy to make others feel happy and at home. So, when we decided to join the VRBO community, it felt like a natural extension of what we love to do.

What makes this property unique
The Dream Catcher Retreat (DCR)
The name Dream Catcher Retreat was inspired by a very special moment in our lives. In September 2018, my husband and I renewed our vows on our 25th wedding anniversary. The celebration was held in our backyard, and the theme was “Dream Catchers.”
Dream catchers, a symbol of unity and protection in Native American culture, were at the heart of the celebration. Dozens of handmade dream catchers adorned our backyard, swaying gently in the summer breeze and catching the sunlight. Their presence filled the space with warmth and meaning.
We believed then, as we do now, that dream catchers have the power to transform. Negative energy can pass through them, be filtered, and emerge as light, hope, and love. At the end of our celebration, each guest left with a dream catcher as a gift—a token of our gratitude, love, and protection.
This sentiment is what we carry into the Dream Catcher Retreat. Our hope is that every guest who arrives feeling worried, stressed, or overwhelmed will leave feeling renewed, recharged, and full of hope and love.
