About this property

Mountain and Water Views at Rocky Mountain National Park Doorstep

Take in unrivaled views of Mount Baldy and the Rockies on the expansive deck, or while sipping your morning brew watching the fog roll off serene Columbine Lake from the chefs kitchen. Enjoy and celebrate family and friends around a large dining room table with tree-top views of Aspens, Blue Spruces, and Ponderosa Pines perched above the lake. Large picture windows mean every view of nature is spectacular, while inside the cabin is tastefully furnished with log and leather furnishings to create a cozy cabin stay for you and yours.

The home sleeps 12 comfortably with four bedrooms and three bathrooms in the main house. The first floor hosts two bedrooms (one queen, one king), a full bathroom, game area and a movie room equipped with a large TV and fireplace. The second (main floor) houses a large living room with vaulted ceilings, one bedroom (queen), a 3/4 bath, wonderfully-equipped kitchen, dining room, and two fireplaces. The upper level has a loft with a writer's desk overlooking the lake, a bedroom (king) with massive closet and another 3/4 bath. A bunkhouse (2 twin beds, futon, full bed) located in a separate structure accessed across the expansive deck on the 2nd floor. This area is huge hit among our younger guests and young families who can get little ones to bed quietly.

The chef’s kitchen is well-equipped for cooking and serving your entire group, with the added benefit of a fireplace and spectacular scenery out the dining room windows to keep the chefs happy. The dining room seats 8, with four additional stools at the kitchen island. Cook and dine alfresco during the warmer summer months with a gas grill and outdoor seating for 12 with incredible views. Guests will also have use of the fire pit to take in the night sky during summer months and if no burn-bans are in effect.

The lodge is equipped with 3 smart TVs and WiFi so that you can stream video from Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, or any other of your subscription services. The home also has DVDs, books, a Foosball table, and game selection for indoor fun.

Explore all Grand Lake has to offer during the day - hiking, biking, boating, fishing, skiing, horseback riding, golfing, tubing snowmobiling, whatever! - and come back to the lodge where everyone can spread out and vacation as they wish. Common spaces are ample, and the cabin also affords unique spaces for those seeking quiet down time or a movie while the fire blazes.

Eagles Landing Lodge is situated on the hill crest above Columbine Lake, located on the Western edge of the Rocky Mountain National Park. Entrance into the Rocky Mountain National Park is only a 5 minute drive from the lodge, as is the drive to the Historic Town of Grand Lake. Directly behind the lodge is the Grand Lake Golf Course which converts to the Nordic Center and tubing hill in the winter. Winding River Ranch is near, which offers horseback/pony trail rides and cowboy cookouts and breakfasts. There is also an ATV/Snowmobile outfitter near the ranch. In town, visit the shops and restaurants or take in a musical at the Rocky Mountain Repertoire Theater (summer months mostly). Rent watercraft, from paddle boards to pontoons to get out on the chain of Grand Lake, Shadow Mountain Lake and Lake Granby. Whatever adventure your party seeks, Grand Lake will not disappoint, and Eagles Landing Lodge can serve as your base for the wide range of activities for an unforgettable stay.

Please note the garage space is not accessible for guests.

Oh my goodness. I can not say enough good about this place and the people that own it. The home is beautiful, so warm and it felt like home. The views are spectacular! We had moose close by. They responded very quick to any questions. I feel like we could be good friends they were so nice. They even had a welcome gift for us. Would definitely stay here again!!! Exceeded our expectations.

Fantastic!
We stayed at Eagle Landing with a friends group on our trip to Grand Lake over Christmas 2022. There were three families and kids ranging from 9 to 21. The house had ample room for each family group to have some privacy but big enough common space for us all to be together, too. The house was better than described in the listing. Kat had it decorated for Christmas! The view was postcard picture perfect. 100% recommend this house! We can’t wait to go back again!

We are a family of four with a kindergardner who is a little speed racer on the ski slope and an energetic four-year old who is better known among friends and family as 'honey badger'. We spend any extra minute we can outside, enjoying the sunshine and ample activities in Colorado. We are thrilled to have a dream come true with our Rocky Mountain retreat, and extremely excited to share our favorite spot in this amazing part of the country with other adventure-seeking folks! We make it our mission to steward the experience that this natural wonder of a location is, and we look forward to offering our guests a great place to stay and all the intel for an unforgettable adventure!

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Grand Lake on a trip through Estes Park and RMNP 4 years ago. We have returned many times, renting other cabins and taking visitors on day trips with the hope that we could one day own one too. We hoped to have some semblance of a view of the spectacular trees and mountains, and searched for a place that didn't just feel like a house, but rather a cozy cabin retreat.
