The well-equipped kitchen makes meal time with your loved ones a breeze. At the end of the day, retreat to one of the bedrooms and sleep soundly before the next day's adventures.

Within walking distance you can get your morning coffee fix and grab some breakfast, or get takeout at several restaurants! The upscale, world-class Jay Peak Resort is less than nine miles away with skiing, an indoor waterpark, ice area, dining, golfing. Explore beautiful hiking and mountain biking trails with incredible views at the nearby Jay Peak Trailhead. The Vermont Long Trail is just miles away as well for serious enthusiasts! The home is seconds from VAST Trail 120 and 120F. Montgomery Center is Vermont's biggest kept secret! Everything you need is in one town!

Great Ski Vacation

Awesome little house, we loved our weekend up at Jay. Parking is tight with the snow, really only space for two cars but easy enough to park extra cars in town. Would recommend for families looking for mountain accommodations!

Lovely and quiet space!

My husband and I were initially going to be in this space with two teenagers, another adult, and a toddler, and due to a series of unforeseen scheduling, my husband and I had the place to ourselves for the weekend. The bed was comfortable, the living area spacious and clean, and the backyard and patio right next to the Trout River was amazing. Absolutely would (and hope to) stay here again!

Jay Peak adventure

The house was clean, the kitchen well equipped, and there were plenty of beds. Close to Jay Peak, restaurants and a coffee shop. Nice location. We would stay again next time we visit Jay Peak.

Perfect Fall Family Getaway!

We enjoyed this house in such a cute and quaint little town with our family for the start of fall! The stars at night, the trickle of the river, the campfires, the awesome local dining options. Incredible Ski House Get Away

Beautiful home conveniently located 15 minutes from Jay Peak in the charming town of Montgomery, VT. This home has everything you need including full kitchen, washer/dryer, fire pit and fire place (great for drying ski gear) Also a major plus that we were able to bring our German Shepard who loved it as much as we did.

Cottage by the Trout River

Excellent property for a family getaway. It is right by the river which makes it unique. Big enough to accommodate a bigger family or multi-family vacation. The cottage is within walking distance to the local grocery store and several eateries. Also perfectly distanced to other VT spots like Stowe or Burlington...which was about 1 hour driving to each.. Kids loved a day at the Pumphouse Waterpark which was 15 mins away. Overall, perfect location, amenities and environment to take in Vermont's beautiful landscapes and pace of life.

This lovely house is absolutely packed with amenities, from kitchen appliances to TV apps. Great attention to the little details which make you feel at home. The location on the river is a perfect spot for a backyard picnic. A short stroll to breakfast at Cafe Oma or dinner at the Snowshoe Pub, or just across the street for fine dining at The Inn. Jay Peak is a short drive up the mountain. We visit this area often to see family, and would definitely stay again!

Great house close to swimming holes

Clean and organized with a well-stocked kitchen for cooking and large tables indoors, on enclosed patio and outside to eat at. The sound of the river in the backyard is mesmerizing. Only problem was there was no clothes rack and the dryer did not work which made getting to our next destination with clean clothes a bit difficult as we were 6 people. I would recommend this home to a family or group of friends.

Just like the movies

My favorite part was that gorgeous river outside the house. We saw an enormous pack of what looked like turkeys or roosters. They were neither but I’m not sure what these animals are called. Gathering together to drink from the river. All in all, house was safe, clean and very spacious.

Perfect Ski Weekend Getaway

Perfect little house for our ski weekend getaway with friends. It was only 15min drive to Jay Peak. The location right on the river was gorgeous and very peaceful. The house was very clean when we arrived and had everything that we needed. We definitely enjoyed our time and would return to this house. The house is managed by Vacasa, so if trying to communicate with them, definitely use the text or call method. They take many days to respond to questions via email.

Disconnect without being disconnected

Never felt more detached from our busy lives than I did in the backyard. The sound of the Trout River by the campfire and while sleeping at night will make you disconnect from modern life. Conversely if you want to post those awesome house and river pics to Instagram and brag about the house on Facebook, there is solid wifi to do so. Just a short drive to Jay Peak, Stowe ski resort, and (just slightly farther) to Ben & Jerry’s factory tours. Don’t want to drive? Walking distance to the town’s phenomenal restaurants and markets. Truly this is the first vacation house I wish we didn’t have to leave.

This Ones A Gem

The location is amazing for those wanting to be in town. Easy walk to restuarants, bars, coffee house, grocery, etc. It's on a little quiet street just off the main drag. You'll rent this house a second time because it's on the river, which is gorgeous. So peaceful and tranquil. This home has lots of old charm being built somewhere in the late 1800's with old wooden beams, unique bedroom door handles that you just don't see anymore. But this home has some modern amenities too like a dishwasher, wifi, large screen smart TV, propane stove, reading nook, comfy beds and a 3 season screened in porch at the back. Parking for 4 cars. We drove to the mountain one day. It's about a 15 minute car ride (free parking on the mountain!). Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would certainly come back again. The people who live in town are friendly, interesting and are not shy to come up to you and start a conversation. It's such a pleasant way to unwind and enjoy your vacation.

Perfect family vacation home in any season!

We have stayed at a different ski house every weekend since the beginning of january and this was by far our favorite. The home is clearly a home that is loved by its owners, it is well cared for and well appointed. The location is perfect (10 minutes from jay and walking distance to dining and shopping). The river is right out the back door, with a little lawn and great outside living space. The home was comfortable for us, but we could have invited another family to stay with us! There are 4 queen beds (2 each in two rooms) and a king in a third room. There is a lovely sitting area upstairs with comfortable seating, a perfect reading nook! The downstairs is comfortable and has a great layout with lots of room to relax and a huge dining table (we sat 8 one night with extra chairs). There is also a 3 season porch, with a picnic table (we would have eaten there if had been a little warmer). We enjoyed breakfast while watching the wildlife in the river. This place was perfect... It has an easy to use ev charger as well! We would absolutely consider staying here again. I also left my kindle behind by mistake and their team found it and is in the process of sending it to me. The customer service was excellent!

Maison d'un certain âge, mais charmante, très spacieuse et bien comfortable. Un endroit très tranquille avec belle vue sur la rivière Trout. À quelques pas, au coeur du village de Montgomery, il y a une épicerie avec un Beer Store et Liquor Store à l'intérieur. Épicerie de base, mais complète. Et aussi à quelques pas, il y a un pub, un café, un bike shop et un ski shop. La station de ski de Jay Peak est à 15 minutes de la maison, et Smuggler's Notch et Stowe sont à 45 minutes. Donc un endroit génial et central pour les amateurs de ski/planche

What a relaxing weekend at this lovely home! Place was exceptionally clean, cozy, super comfy beds and pillows. In fact it has everything you would need to be comfortable. If you have a dog, even better, as the river out back will keep them entertained for hours. Fabulous amenities all around you also. Highly recommend!

Great location in a relaxing home large enough for 10

The sound of Trout River is so pleasant to be near. The kitchen and living room are comfortable for a big group. Montgomery is a very groovy Vermont town with lots of places nearby to explore.
