Pillared electrically operated gates greet you at the entrance of this unique property, which is nestled at the bottom of the long private driveway A 3 storey, grade 2 listed 200year old georgian manor house, set in private grounds of 6 acres, surrounded on three sides by open countryside with footpaths reaching as far as 20 miles away.

A Beautifully renovated privately owned home provides stunning accomodation ,With a contemporary twist mixed with traditional features make this a property to stand out from the rest.

The kitchen has a Stunning vaulted ceiling with bespoke hand painted kitchen units and granite worktops, limestone floors & a unique dining booth area coupled with the large bifold oak doors overlooking the koi pond and folly beyond also within this space is the the large living area with leather corner sofa & cuddle chair, making this a perfect family open space to be enjoyed by all and is one of the many highlights of this wonderful home.

Within the original house is a splendid Drawing room with marble fireplace which is decorative only and large bay French doors opening onto a large paved terrace.
The dining room boasts a large original inglenook fireplace for decorative use only
Huge chandelier over an antique mahogany table to seat up to 12.

Completely private to the property is a wonderfully appointed leisure complex to include glass tiled heated indoor pool with changing room and sauna.

A super large leisure room with double aspect oak bifold doors, granite bar, American fridge freezer, cinema screen & projector, furnished with leather sofas, this entire facility is exclusively for your enjoyment.

There is a Gas BBQ plate

On the 1st floor you will find 3 double bedrooms to include the master suite with an Emperor size, gold leaf bed with bay window and private ensuite with double granite basins & shower, along with 2 more double bedrooms both with 1x double bed plus 1 x singles.

On the 2nd floor a further 3 double bedrooms all new carpets & decor with 1x Double/King beds plus 1 single bed in each available in each plus a further king size bedroom by way of a sofa bed located On the ground floor suitable for anyone especially those who prefer to be on One level.
We also have a travel cot & high chair for our younger guests.

The house is Located opposite the Wharf on the outskirts of a small village with pubs & shop within a pleasant walk along the canal path.
There is parking on the gravel turning circle drive at the front of the property for in excess of 10 vehicles.
We have a newly fitted Hot Tub on the decking just outside the pool house to watch the stars and also a BBQ area is next to the leisure complex with sunken terrace area, massive outdoor fireplace and seating to chill out.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

We stayed at Ivy House and had a fantastic weekend. This beautiful Georgian house was ideal for our family get-together.The indoor swimming pool was a real highlight – we made full use of it, along with the gym, hot tub and the lovely grounds. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, which made cooking our celebration meal a pleasure. Communication with the host was good throughout. Everything ran smoothly and the house felt welcoming and comfortable.Highly recommended for a family stay – we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would happily return.

A beautiful property, clean, well-equipped and spacious in extensive dog-safe grounds. It is finished to a hi spec throughout and the rooms are all comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the pool and sauna.

Check-in was very straightforward and easy. The kitchen facilities were excellent; we had no trouble cooking for 20 people. The pool, hot tub, and sauna were amazing and saw a lot of use from our group. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived. The place is so big that even with 20, we didn’t feel cramped or on top of one another.

Nice relaxing stay

We loved our break away, would recommend a rail on the stairs in the middle living room as little ones got under it to easy and very high. Internet was hit and miss but we expected it, an amazing house and one would say to stay at.

Family weekend for Granny's 80th

This was a fantastic property for our 3 generation family get together. The house was lovely and worked really well for what we needed. The kids loved the pool and the separate room with large screen was a fantastic place to play games after dinner and also watch the rugby.

Weekend with Friends

We enjoyed our stay at Ivy House, which has some unique features and plenty of communal space for a big group. The hot tub and pool worked really well. The ability to walk out onto the canal path and to the local pub were a bonus. The only niggle was the dining room which wasnt big enough (nor were there enough chairs) to seat all 17 of us.

Amazing House for an amazing Hen weekend

We rented this house for my daughter's hen weekend the house was stunning in an amazing location with great facilities. We could not find fault with the house it accommodated 20 of us amply. All types of celebrations are catered for here from a formal dinner, to a party to a film night and even quiet relaxation in the pool and hot tub. The garden and grounds are well maintained and are beautiful. There is a pretty Marina just 5 minutes walk away with a lovely pub just 5 minutes further on. We would happily go back here again can't recommend highly enough.

Fantastic weekend!

We booked this house for the weekend for my sisters hen do and we all had the best time! Everything was as described. In fact, the photos don’t do it justice! We only had one issue on the first day, which was resolved within the hour. Stephanie was a great communicator and I would definitely consider coming back!

Great house with lots of facilities

The house is great for large groups, I stayed here in May with 18 guests for my Sisters hen do. The bar area with the projector was our favourite spot and everyone loved the outdoor hot tub. The only thing missing for me was a larger dining room table (current one fits 12) as we had a private chef come in one night so I had to bring extra tables and chairs. Remember to bring cleaning supplies, toilet rolls etc

Faultless

The property was better than described. The facilities were ideal and extensive, especially the swimming pool. It was just what we needed for a rainy weekend away with ages ranging from 5 to 70. All the bedrooms were a good size with comfortable beds. The bathrooms had good showers and plenty of hot water. The kitchen/family room worked really well meaning we could all be together. Stephanie replied quickly to any queries and was very helpful. We would definitely return.

Great week at Ivy House

We had a wonderful week at Ivy House. It is an amazing property with excellent facilities. The super weather just added to the trip. We also were able to spend one day in an early celebration of our son's 40th birthday with family and friends. The range of things to do in the house made in a memorable day. There were one or two minor issues in the house during the week but these were sorted out really promptly by Stephanie and Garry. Overall, a super week.

Wonderful

We stayed at this lovely house with our family, ages ranged from 1 to 75. The house is just as described. Beautiful setting, and every facility you could need. Lovely and clean too. The garden is just glorious and we were very lucky with the weather. There were a couple of minor issues with TV connection and a leak, but the owners were super efficient in responding and came out as soon as they would There are a few negative comments on here, but honestly with a house of this size - they were very minor and in no way hindered our stay. Thankyou. We would highly recommend this house as a beautiful relaxing place to stay.

Wonderful family reunion home in the countryside

We had a wonderful time with our family all gathered around and under the same roof. The pool, hot tub, large kitchen and dining room area were perfect for what we wanted to do for the weekend. The Rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. We didn’t need AC because the windows and the weather was perfect! The only disappointing thing was that the two bathrooms upstairs on the third floor leaked through the ceiling on the second floor in the four post bedroom which didn’t allow us to use the bathrooms on the third floor. Other than this we had a wonderful time!

Interesting!!!!!!

Location, accommodation & facilities were very good, however despite reassurances of the cleanliness a number of short comings were very apparent. The home owner stated they concentrated on sterilising the property ready for occupation, however basic level cleaning of discarded items from previous occupiers were missed.

You are correct in the fact that we maintain a thorough sanitisation process between each booking , this is a very time consuming process For a property in excess of 5000SQM , ensuring that the risk of COVID-19 is as minimal as possible at our property for all our guests, as such there was some areas not up to the usual High standards we strive for at Ivy House , please accept our apologies. It is a shame you did not allow us the opportunity to rectify these areas during your stay as we suggested . Thank you for your private correspondence advising that you all had a wonderful weekend At Ivy House, it is appreciated. We hope to see you again maybe minus the doggies as the hair everywhere was horrendous, Despite your assurances they would be groomed prior to visiting.

Lovely location but…

The house is set in a beautiful location and is well appointed, however there are little things that could be improved upon, particularly given the rates. A welcome basket would’ve been a nice touch, plus more than one towel each per adult. The pool is not heated as advertised and the outside furniture and cushions are rather scruffy. The bifold doors are very stiff and Wi-Fi is non existent.. We enjoyed our stay at Ivy House but I’m afraid I don’t think it was good value for money.

Hi Emma Thank you for taking the time to review your stay, we hope you enjoyed your wedding renewal celebrations our property. We do not offer a welcome hamper and do not advertise that we do , as we feel peoples dietary requirements may make this somewhat restrictive as such we keep a well stocked pantry and tea coffee and sugar available for our guests which we feel is far more beneficial than the small offerings of a hamper. As with most rental properties and hotels we supply one large bath sheet / towel per person & towels in all W.Cs for the duration of their stay,This does not include pool towels. I note during your stay used an additional 16 bath towels for 10 guests over three days. These were stored for the next guests to ease, the housekeeping teams workload! We are a rural property as stated in the descriptive and as such Wi-Fi can sometimes drop out although I’ve not noticed this as an issue for some years. The pool is heated to 29° the recommended temperature for leisure pools, This is a constant temperature & monitored. Outdoor furniture does tend to take a battering with guests leaving out in all weathers et cetera, and is changed annually to reflect this. We feel the rates offered reflect extremely good value for the facilities and space compared to an alternative option. Best wishes

We began our transformation over the course of 5 years to incorporate original features with a contemporary twist. We use the property as our Home , due to its fantastic village location with easy motorway access to all areas of the uk whilst surrounded by open countryside.
