The house layout and location were exactly what we wanted. We were close to family, restaurants and shopping. The girls were very comfortable and we had great time!
This house was perfect for a wedding in Ottawa Hills. The location was great, right across the street from the high school. The house is clean, the beds are cozy, and the front porch was a great place to have morning coffee. We also really appreciated the coffee pods, cream, tea, popcorn, and oatmeal provided by the host. Would definitely stay again. Thanks
We love older homes with character and charm, and this home definitely fit the bill. Our favorite part was the double sided fireplace and the lovely, bright sun room. We enjoyed evening walks around the beautiful neighborhood, and the close proximity to shops and museums.
Great location and awesome backyard as well...spacious and well appointed kitchen.
The 1/2 bath in the basement was appreciated. We'd stay there again.
UofT and Stranahan are close by!
The grounds are lovely, with tall trees, an outdoor seating area with a swing set. The front porch is a quiet place to settle early in the morning with some coffee and the school soccer field across the street.
The 1/2 bath in the basement is not listed in the posting but makes all the difference with more than two people staying.
There is a washer/dryer and we needed it!
We have stayed here twice and will book here again. Comfortable beds, perfect location for visiting in Ottawa Hills or nearby. Says 1 bath but there is a 1/2 bath in the basement too, which makes all the difference.
We traveled to see attractions in the area and stayed just over a week. The house was clean, roomy, and comfortable. It is well insulated as we knew it was storming but couldn't really hear the rain. Nice view of the Ottawa Hills athletic field outside. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend this property. Communication with the property manager was prompt and satisfactory.
Laura was a wonderful host. Her place was clean, a safe location, and only a 10-15 minute drive to downtown activities. Mancys, Tony Packos, Art/glass museum, Mud Hens stadium, and the Toledo Botanical Gardens were close by. The street was tree lined and the high school and elementary school were in walking distance. We would gladly stay here again.
We had a lovely weekend stay at this property. The house is exactly as described and has all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. The host is very quick to respond if you ever have any questions. I would consider staying here again next time I travel to the area.
We enjoyed our stay at this house in Ottawa Hills! A quiet neighborhood just a short distance to anywhere in Toledo.
Lots of old house charm, well-decorated, clean and comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom was well stocked and we had everything we needed.
Laura was a great host and communicated well prior to arrival.
Our overall stay was nice and conveniently located near our planned activities. We did have to do some cleaning upon our arrival. There also was a delay in receiving the checkout information. Our host was very responsive and readily communicated with us.
Laura was a great host! We had everything we needed and the house was perfect! It is located in a quiet neighborhood and fairly close to pretty much anything. Would definitely stay here again!
Lovely house in a safe and quiet neighborhood. The accomodations were clean and close to dining and shopping. The property owner ensured we had all the information we needed in advance of arriving, and clear and simple instructions for leaving. We were even able to watch the Superbowl on their smart TV which was a pleasant surprise as we fully expected to have to stream it off our own device. The k-cups were stocked with a wonderful assortment. They accomodated our dogs. We will stay again! Thank you!

About the host
Hosted by Laura
I'm a busy teacher and mom of grown twins. I love traveling, gardening, reading, and decorating. I also love real estate and have evolved into a short term rental host over time finding it to be the most fun and rewarding of all the investment choices out there. Meeting people from near and far and being a part of their vacations, work and family visits is a joy.
Why they chose this property
My cousins actually live in this neighborhood, and their children went to the award winning schools. It is safe with it's own police department. People are friendly like a small town, yet it's located in the middle of a good-sized city. This house is modest in comparison to the expansive family homes and mini-mansions you'll find just behind it. It's a lovely walk to just tour the neighborhood with it's towering mature trees and lush landscape.
What makes this property unique
This house is unique because it still retains much of it's 1920's character. The arched doorways, exquisite woodwork, lovely stained glass, double-fire place and original light fixtures give it warm and charm you won't find in many vacation homes in the area. That coupled with the serene, lovely neighborhood make staying in our property a delight.
