Enjoyed our stay at the Apollo in Marco Island. Our rental unit is a modern, clean unit with great beach access, ocean views from the balcony, and proximity to all Marco Island has to offer. No surprises and everything went smoothly. Definitely plan on returning next year. Thanks to our hosts.
My husband and I went for our 30th anniversary and had the best time. The condo was great. The sunset grille downstairs was Awesome! We loved every minute of our stay. Can’t wait to go back.
This is an awesome location. Spent a week walking the beautiful beach at Marco Island. The condo was perfect for my wife and I. The Apollo Condo is clean and in a great location. Lots of dolphin watching from the 9 th floor balcony.It was a great week !

Apollo building is not a luxury facility but the location, upkeep and amenities are very nice.Sabina is quick to respond to questions. The kitchen is well equipped. 9 floor views are amazing! The chair and ottoman on the balcony is comfortable BUT the table chairs are a safety issue! They tip backwards at a severe angle! Need replacing.

A Million Dollar View
We have stayed in various apartments in the Apollo for several weeks for the past six years. We are very happy with the building, the staff, and especially the location. We have talked about staying elsewhere on the island, but the Apollo feels like home. This apartment especially provides the one of the best views in the building. The furnishings are new and attractive. The king size bed is a special treat. The balcony furniture is generous and comfortable. We were impressed that the owner called us shortly after our arrival to make sure everything was satisfactory.
We hope the apartment is available for our Marco visit next year.

Clean Unit, Great View, can't go wrong
Condo is as advertised, very clean and complete with all necessities and more. The south, north and sunset views from the balcony are amazing!! Beach / water shoes are a great investment. There are tons of shells on the beach which makes is difficult to walk barefoot, however, this is one of the nicest beaches I've seen in Florida, it's huge. Marco Island has some awesome restaurants; Cafe de Marco in Olde Marco was our favourite (steak and seafood), but Almost Famous Mel's was great for BBQ. The condo is in a great location, within walking distance to the main resorts but far enough away to avoid the busy crowds. Everything was really convenient (ie picking up keys, parking, check-in, pool / beach access). It was my first time renting "owner direct" and we're certainly glad we did. There is no way a hotel could offer this type of value (full kitchen and the closet full of beach accessories came in handy). Check out the everglades and some of the trails but make sure to cake on the bug spray this time of year!!! All in all, this was a great get away that wouldn't have been the same had we stayed elsewhere!!

Condo was great! It was ...
Condo was great! It was just as advertised, very clean, and had everything you need for a very comfortable stay on Marco Island. We cooked every meal in the condo and saved a ton of money that way. The unit location is great, in the middle of the building, so no restrictions on the view. The balcony is huge with a lot of seating options. We had dinner on the balcony every evening, very romantic. The sunsets are gorgeous. We travelled to Tigertail Beach and up to Naples, but the best location was right here at the Apollo. The condo owners were great to work with. This was our first trip with our baby girl and they answered all our questions and made us feel comfortable. We even receieved a phone call from them half way through our stay to make sure everything was to our liking. The unit also has an outside closet with beach chairs, umbrella and some beach toys. The Apollo itself is a great condo building, the site cannot be beat, great for shelling or walking on the beach. We didn't try the restaurant, but heard good things about it. Both the Publix and the Winn Dixie are good places to do your shopping on Marco Island. I you're looking for a less expensive option (we're from the Midwest and were shocked at the grocery prices on the island) there is a Wal-Mart on the main highway a few miles before you get to the bridge. The only complaint we had was the disturbance from the condo above us during the afternoon hours on two of the days of our stay. They were doing renovations. We called the desk because it was during our daughter's nap time and were able to arrange for them to postpone their work. Overall, it was a great, relaxing stay at the Apollo, thanks!

Comfortable unit with excellent view
Website is accurate. Business arrangements were professional. Comfortable unit with all the necessities. Note, the king bed and its sheets are also comfortable. Plenty of nice towels; including beach towels. Walking distance to resorts up the beach. Sunset Grille restaurant on the lower floor isn't fancy but has good food and is handy. Pool and hot tub are nice temp and area is kept clean. Actually, the Apollo building is well-maintained and we felt safe due to the key entry system, parking pass. Easy access to the beach. Good lighting and good water pressure. Balcony has comfortable furniture and being on the 9th floor provides excellent views of the gulf. We were not bothered by noises from other condos or the restaurant.
The only reason we rate this as a 'good' experience rather than an 'excellent' experience is because there was a snafu with getting our keys to the unit. However, nobody panicked and through a series of cell phone calls to the owners we were able to make last minute arrangements to pick up a set of keys from the owner himself. Mr. and Mrs. M. were most apologetic. We'd suggest contacting the service holding the keys a week in advance of your arrival rather than a few days (as suggested) so that if something is amiss it can be worked out before you arrive in Florida. There is much to see and do on Marco Island. We enjoyed many of the restaurants (we did NOT use the stove/oven) and The Everglades, of course. There is a guest book in the unit that provides comments and tips from other renters--interesting reading. We could recommend this unit to others.

Yes, there was a snafu with the keys. Miscommunication resulted in the keys being held a different location than usual. We apologize for this misunderstanding and are happy that this initial experience did not detract from the rest of the trip. We are taking your recommendation to revise our check-in instructions to contact our property managers a week ahead of time rather than a few days before. We had a wonderful stay. The condo had everything we needed. The condo is simple & clean. It looks just like the photos posted. The 9th floor balcony has an awesome view of the beach & ocean. There's also a great pool & hot tub. There's lots of stores & restaurants you can walk to. I would definitely stay there again.
We had a wonderful stay at this condo! It was very clean and quiet. The view on the balcony was breath taking. The owners were very receptive to our communication and were only a phone call away. We’d stay there again.
Excellent location and view. Condo is small but great for two people. We found it to be very quiet and convenient to shopping and restaurants. The beach is just steps from the building. We would stay again.
Condo was in the most perfect location to watch the sunset and the dolphins play in the gulf and was a perfect fit for my husband and I. It was nice to have access to beach chairs (not the low ones) an umbrella and cooler. Laundry facilities just steps from the door and the Sunset Grill downstairs and other restaurants within walking distance. The only negative thing we could say is the king size bed was a bit to firm for our liking, but not a deal breaker for a return visit. Now we have to head back to COLD and dreary north 😭
We really enjoyed our stay at the Apollo. What a great location. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. We definitely would come back

Beautiful and Relaxing
Our stay in this unit was perfect! Claude and Sabina were wonderful to work with and answered all my booking questions immediately. The unit was spotless and very pretty. It had been updated. Everything worked just fine. The balcony gave gorgeous views of the beach and the many dolphins jumping up in the water. Sunsets were breathtaking from this unit. Everyone at the Apollo is very friendly, the staff as well as the visitors. Don't hesitate to rent this unit.

Very very poor customer service, awful owner.
We stayed here for a week as we prepared for our beach wedding in Naples. The location and views were great. However, on the 2nd day there were issues with the hot water heater. 2 days in a row Claude (Owner), was in the room trying to cheaply fix the water heater that obviously needed replaced. 1st day he tried some electrical fixes, 2nd day he tried the heating elements. Neither fix worked. He wanted to replace the water heater on our 6th day and we asked to wait until we left. My wife was able to take 2 hot showers the entire week, I was able to take 1. Considering the cost this was very disappointing to say the least. The worst part is that when I requested some money back from the stay, Claude said no, because we set the AC too low and left the patio doors open. (There were no stated restrictions on AC temp for the unit, we like sleeping in the cool and set it at 70). EVERY time he was there to work on the hot water heater he changed the AC temp back to 70.
We weren't asking for a full refund, we were asking for $500.00 back for the inconvenience of no hot water and having to be in the unit during our stay. Claude was rude and short with us about the refund. VERY disappointed with the owner and their customer service. There was one roll of toilet paper when we arrived, we had to buy our own, no paper towels, had to buy our own. There were only 2 large shower towels for the week, no beach towels either. One garbage bag for the whole week. We had to buy more. Just all around very poorly stocked and we were not taken care of or valued as renters. I would stay away from this rental at all costs! Owner was awful to work with when there were any issues at all.

We appreciate your feedback, but it is important to address several issues and few inaccuracies in your note.
First, the condo is always stocked with clean linens and towels. I know this since 4 sets of new beach towels along with bath towels were purchased prior to renters’ arrival. Consumables such as toilet and towel paper and garbage bags are only included for renters’ accommodation upon their arrival. We do not provide an ongoing supply for your full stay just like we do not supply groceries, bottled water, sunscreen, etc. This is made abundantly clear on rental advertisement, lease, etc. This is secondary residency, not a hotel.
Second, while we regret that we had a failed water heater renter was immediately provided with alternate shower arrangements and there was someone there immediately for repairs. Unfortunately, it became apparent days later that the newly repaired parts failed and the water heater needed to be replaced. At renters direction, they did not want a repairman on site so as not to inconvenience their stay. To reiterate, alternative shower accommodations were made available to renters and any limitations to their personal hygiene were their own choice. Perhaps most disconcerting is that from day 1 renters were more interested in a discounted stay, not hot water.
That said as an owner I find it disheartening when a renter exhibits clear disregard for our unit. My wife and I strive to provide a clean, fully equipped unit at a reasonable price. This is supported by countless 5 Star reviews from other renters over the last 20 years. It goes a long way when renters exhibit a little courtesy and consideration in their stay so that other renters can enjoy the same. To be clear there was no physical damage to the unit, but I thought I was being fair by not passing along any excessive cleaning charges in lieu of renters modest inconvenience. Claudio & Jenny Owners
