Sunset Cabin On Cotton Lake

Welcome to Sunset Cabin on Cotton Lake. Enjoy Cotton Lake and sunset views from the 2 large front windows. Our quaint and cozy cabin has a main floor bedroom and a sleeping loft. The cabin can accommodate up to 6 guests. The main floor bedroom has a king bed (2 twin beds that have been put together). The sleeping loft has 2 queen beds.
Cotton Lake is a recreational 2500 acre lake. The sandy beach awaits you for swimming or just hanging out. We have 2 kayaks available for your use along with bocce ball and bags. Warm the chilly nights with a fire around the fire pit. Sunset Cabin is close to our neighbors, Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge, Detroit Lakes, and Park Rapids.
Discover the island on Cotton Lake that has a lake, with an island on the lake.
The Fish Bowl on Cotton Lake; has been renovated and is a great place for lunch or dinner. The cabin has a large deck, 24x12, where you can hang out and and dine el fresco. If you decide to dine at home, the kitchen offers a full size refrigerator, 2 burner cook top, toaster, toaster oven, coffee maker, microwave, electric skillet and a gas grill just off the deck. (Sorry, no oven) The main floor bedroom and sleeping loft both have AC for your sleeping comfort.
Many wonderful golf courses are within 45 minutes of the cabin.
Guests will have full access to the cabin, yard, beach, and fire pit.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. The owner and her husband were such wonderful hosts. The cabin was so clean and perfect for my family of four. The view and overall accommodations made our stay great. Beautiful lake and view! We would definitely love to go back!

Sunset delivers!

We enjoyed our weekend at Cotton Lake. The cabin was clean, with plenty of comfortable spaces to relax inside and out. The hosts were friendly and available. They invited us to join them on their pontoon for a sunset cruise! The property is lovely, featuring a beautiful butterfly garden. If you don’t mind sharing the space with your hosts, it’s a perfect spot!

The cabin was perfect for our family of 4. Host has a great sand beach area to relax and enjoy the water and sun! Easy access to the dock, kayaks, and a short drive to hiking trails. The owners were very nice and accommodating! Thanks again!

Weekend trip

We had a really fun get away with our family! The kids enjoyed swimming with the lily pad and jumping off the dock. It was fun to take a quick drive and have pizza at Zorbaz which was very family friendly. We had an overall great weekend.

Wonderful family vacation destination

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! It was even better than listed. Our kids played for hours on the lily pad. There was great fishing off the dock. Tom and Kim were wonderful hosts. We hope to stay again in the future.

Pre-July 4th on Cotton Lake

Our family had an excellent stay at the cabin. We enjoyed the beautiful clear lake and the cozy, clean, and well decorated cabin, we did lots of kayaking, fishing, and swimming. My husband and I purchased our lake home in 2017. We were fortunate to find a property that had a "bonus" cabin. We spent our first year updating the house then we spent the summer of 2019 updating the cabin. 2020 was our first year we rented out Sunset Cabin on Cotton Lake. We have hosted many wonderful guests and have enjoyed meeting everyone. Our home is located next door to the cabin so if you decide to book your stay with us we are accessible if there is anything you need or if you have any questions.
