Private individual rents apartment in atypical architect's chalet located on the hillside of Xettes, in front of the lake of Gérardmer. It is 500 m from the lake, 800 m from shops and the shuttle bus to the MAUSELAINE ski slopes. Facing south, this apartment benefits from a triple exposure offering very beautiful views of the lake and the mountain. A large landscaped and flowered garden quietly adorns this beautiful chalet. APARTMENT referenced 1539037: New F3, modern decoration, 70 m2 with sloping ceilings, superb lake view, located on the 2nd floor not accessible to disabled people, breathtaking lake view, hillside view and resort view. Complete equipment for this apartment located in a superb environment 5 mins walk from the lake, its beach and its promenade and 10 mins from the Skating rink sports complex with Bowling - Tennis and Climbing wall; also 10 minutes from the School of water sports (sailing, windsurfing ...). Walks from the chalet on the Coteau Sud des Xettes. 5 minutes by car, the forest overlooking the Coteau des Xettes, offers very beautiful circuits to be explored on foot or by mountain bike as well as an organized health trail. In winter, the nearby ski slopes of the resort (3 km - shuttle 800 meters from the chalet) allow you to practice alpine and cross-country skiing at your convenience.

This is a lovely apartment. It is modern, bright, well equipped & has beautiful views of the lake & surrounding hills from the rear balcony. Access to the town is easy, being just a fairly steep 5-10 minute walk from the main pedestrianised area of Gerardmer. There is private off-street parking to the front of the building, & the apartment - which is on the second floor - is accessed by a spiral staircase, which is wide enough to get bags up fairly comfortably. The bedrooms are of good size, but being an attic apartment, they suffer from restricted headspace, although this didn't bother my 5'11 son.The bathroom has a nice shower, with plentiful hot water, & also has a modern washing machine. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need to self cater, including a kettle. There is a flat screen TV in the lounge & enough comfortable seating for three or four people. The Wi-Fi is very good.Communication with Francoise was good. She & her husband are nice hosts, ensuring that we were comfortable & had supplies for the washing machine & dish washer. One thing of note, if you are a cyclist with an expensive bike, the options for storage are limited, with me being offered an insecure under croft at the back of the house to store my bike. Fortunately the weather was mixed during our stay so I kept my bike locked in my car, but it wasn't ideal.This place is excellent value for money & I would definitely stay here again. I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment.

Excellent séjour dans un appartement très agréable, avec une vue magnifique sur le lac. Bien situé, bien équipé, très propre, climatisé (un vrai atout cette semaine-là), au calme, ce gîte a rencontré toutes nos attentes. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié la gentillesse de l'accueil et la disponibilité de Françoise. Ses bons conseils nous ont été précieux. Wir haben einen tollen Urlaub in den Vogesen, am See und in der Ferienwohnung verbracht. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, der Ausblick und die Lage sind super, vom See aus geht es einen kleinen Berg hinauf und nach ein paar Minuten ist man da. Der See hat tolles klares (aber kaltes) Wasser. Und in der Umgebung kann man - mit dem Auto - sehr viel unternehmen (Wandern, Fahrrad fahren, Kultur, Gutes Essen …) Die Wohnung ist sehr gut eingerichtet. Wie man auch auf den Bildern sehen kann, ist es eine Dachgeschosswohnung mit vielen Schrägen, unseren Kindern hat das super gefallen, wer sehr groß ist, muss sich aber darauf einstellen, ab und an den Kopf einzuziehen.

Wir waren von der Wohnung begeistert und haben uns in den 2 Wochen sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Aussicht und die extravagante Architektur sind etwas Besonderes. Die Einrichtung und Ausstattung war komplett bis hin zu Handtüchern und Bettwäsche.
