Located on the beautiful southeastern Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica and within Gandoca-Manzanillo wildlife Refuge, Casita Luna is the perfect getaway for a good time and absolute tranquility. The house itself is located within Villa Noor property and has a direct and private access to a magnificent unspoiled beach. Also, Casita Luna sits on 5 acres of tropical garden where you can find giant rainforest trees, a small creek, birds, iguanas, howler monkeys & other wildlife species. Welcome home !

The perfect spot

This little cabin is located in a slice of jungle heaven right on the beach in Manzanillo. The host was friendly and in touch, checking on us throughout our stay. The property was clean, had extra towels and fans and was as cute as a button. The caretaker lives on the property as well, and she is super kind and helpful (bonus is Mikey the property dog who is awesome). THIS is the side of Costa Rica to visit, and this is the place to stay due to its location on the beach, down the road from both Puerto Viejo and a gorgeous National Park, but chill and quiet in the evenings. I hope to be back here soon :)

This is a wonderful place to stay. Private and quiet...discounting the raucous Parrot alarm clock. Lol Omar was easy to get in contact with, and when I had a couple of plumbing issues I let him know and they were fixed the same day. Some of the appliances are getting worn out due to the salt air but still function well enough. All part of being on the coast. The pillows I had were not very good, quite flat, but as pillows are a personal thing I didn't bother about them. One change I would like to see is some comfortable outdoor seating. All the wooden seats look nice but are not overly comfortable and as we had a lot of rainy days I spent a lot of time on the deck. Cindy, the caretaker is a very nice, very diligent young lady and her husband keeps the yard and beach area tidy. They don't speak English and I don't speak Spanish but we managed well with sign language and translation apps. I had no car but the bus stop is at the end of the lane and the bus service is pretty good to the area. You can also walk down the beach and find stretches where there is not a soul or carry on to Punta Uva, the best swimming beach in the area. It's an hour walk on the beach to Punta Uva.There are also a couple of nice restaurants across the road. The Cool and Calm was a great place with a fabulous vegetarian grill and I'm sure their other grilled items were good as well. Very friendly bunch of guys and good reggae music. All in all it was a great place to stay! I would stay again.

Fabulous Accommodation, don’t hesitate

The accommodation is perfect. Set amongst the flora and fauna and a stones throw from the beach. Very tranquil, but so close to everything as well. Easy bus drop off. Close shop, bar etc. Great comms, friendly. Good kitchen. Lovely shower. Hot water throughout. Comfy bed, if not a little squeaky! But if that’s the only negative we’re not doing bad. Book it, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
