Hello,
We are Tim and Lucy and we live on the stunning Suffolk Heritage Coast with our son Jack. We have been successfully letting our cottages: Stable cottage and Arwen cottage in Aldeburgh via our company Aldeburgh Seaside Cottages. Both our properties are self-catering and advertise on the VrBo website. We are thrilled to have met such interesting people and received such lovely feedback for it.
Tim was born and bred in beautiful Suffolk and I was born in Lima-Peru and brought up in Milan-Italy. I speak Spanish, Italian, French, German and English. As my husband’s family is from Suffolk we have strong ties with this beautiful part of the world. Having travelled extensively we have been inspired by the good things we have come across in properties we have stayed in. As you can tell, we are passionate about providing somewhere special that our guests will love, enjoy and return to.
We feel incredibly lucky to be able to live in this part of the world and are loving sharing our cottages with some amazing people from the Owners Direct community. If we had a motto to live by it would have to be Maya Angelou's: “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour and some style...”

What makes this property unique
Stable Cottage is a traditional Suffolk flint-fronted period cottage, believed to date back to around the 1800’s. It's a delightful two-storey holiday cottage in the heart of the market town of Saxmundham. The self-catering cottage sleeps 2 people.
We live in the house adjoining the cottage so generally will be available to welcome guests. On occasions when we are away, arrangements will be made to let you have a key. We will be available by phone or by email during your stay for any questions.
Parking is available on road or in nearby car parks.
Saxmundham is a small, friendly market-town (market-day Wednesday) on the River Fromus, a tributory of the River Alde.
Stable cottage is just 500 yards (5 mins walk) from the High Street, where there are a number of interesting independent shops to browse around plus those catering for all essentials – including... a newsagents; a bakers – selling bread and cakes baked here in the town; a stationers – also selling a good range of postcards with local scenes; a pharmacy; a traditional butchers shop - selling locally- reared meat and hand-made sausages and pies; two bookshops – both stock a range of local maps and guide books; an old-fashioned haberdashers (with yarns galore!); two hairdressers; a traditional barber-shop; a florist; a hardware shop (which also sells sacks of logs & kindling for the fire); two banks (Barclays and HSBC – both with 24hr cashpoints); and a pet shop.
Saxmundham even has its own Museum and two small art galleries – with regular exhibitions by local artists (including some very well-known artists, such as Maggi Hambling).
Within easy reach of the A12 and serviced by local buses and trains, Saxmundham is conveniently located for days out to all places of interest in the Suffolk Heritage Coastal area.
