J.bunkhouse Two Bed Unit on Henry's Lake just 15 minutes from Yellowstone

Located yards from Henry's Lake and 15 minutes to West Yellowstone, this small 2 bed unit has a microwave and fridge and is a cozy little unit. Accomodating 4 people with a small dining area, firplace, couch, and desk. At the store/office, are convenient store items, arcade and billiards, boat, kayak, canoe, paddle boat, and paddle board rentals. Between the rockies and Henry's lake forest.

Note: there are no pots pans plates or utensil in the little kitchenette. Currently the surrounding cabins are under remodel so there may be construction materials and boards lying around. This unit is within a Resort property, and although it is private there are other cabins, RVs, within close proximity to this unit and other people using the facilities (marina area, lake, hot tub, arcade, etc). Although there is wifi at the resort you may not be able to attach from this unit, requiring you to move closer to our store or to our lobby. Cell phone service is here, but it is spotty. If you have further questions regarding the unit or property, please do not hesitate to ask, and we will be as straightforward as possible.

Although we experience cool nights and we've never had a complaint in this unit over heat, we felt it pertinent to inform that this unit doesn't have a/c

Disappointed

The inside looked like the photo, the bedding was stained and gray. The windows had so many dead bugs it made your skin crawl. The cabin was surrounded by older abandoned cabins falling apart, the grounds had old lumber and rusting equipment pieces in the weeds, the property has so much potential but the cabin and its immediate surroundings made it a dismal stay.

Area was unattractive and unpleasant

The surrounding area of the unit was very sketchy. There were many cabins under construction and about 4 work pickup trucks that didn’t move during my entire 4 night stay. There was also an abandoned broken down barn that housed many bats that flew around every night. The entire surrounding area needs to be cleaned up. The only thing that we enjoyed was the beautiful views of the lake and mountains when we took a short walk through the RV park. I would not return or recommend to anyone to stay there until everything has been cleaned up and renovated.

Why they chose this property

Close to everything but congestion. Were a little off the beaten path so you can stay away from the city crowds. On Henry's Lake with Boat rentals, 15 minutes to Yellowstone Park, 10-20 minutes from West Yellowstone shops and playhouses, Big Springs, Hidden lakes, Quake and Hebgen Lake, Henry's Fork river, Madison and Gallitan rivers, and approx. hour to Ghostowns and Lewis and Clark caverns
