We had a fantastic stay! The host was amazing — communication was absolutely flawless from start to finish, quick responses and very helpful throughout. The place itself was a dream — exactly as described (if not better), super comfortable and beautifully maintained. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

The Chalet was the perfect spot for a relaxing Christmas getaway. The surroundings and property were breathtaking. We loved using the fireplace and the wood was fully stocked upon arrival. The kitchen was well equipped and the space was great for 4 of us. Would definitely recommend!
Doug was quick to reply and addressed one minor concern as soon as it was possible, very grateful for his attentiveness. He clearly cares about his property and his guests having a great stay. The chalet was cozy, well maintained, and was well stocked with the basics. Information about local scenery and attractions was readily available, and he mentioned fair points regarding neighbors and what to expect.Doug as a host is 5/5.The listing did not show a precarious set of stairs leading to the loft. For the elderly or obese, it is not possible to climb them, however there are two beds that are more accessible for anyone. My one reservation pertains to cleanliness; many dishes needed recleaning, the shower curtain had an odor, the bbq tools were grimy, and under the couch was not vacuumed. In fairness, this would not bother most people and I gave 4/5 for cleanliness. All other areas like the tables, counters, floors, all acceptably clean.I highly recommend this chalet to folks who are keen on exploring the area, especially in the winter because the fireplace is lovely.
The house is beautiful, everything you could need and situated in the most beautiful area. Lots of day hikes and lakes swims. We had a great stsy, thank you
The cabin was exactly what we were looking for as a family and was well appointed and well attended to buy the host to make our stay very memorable. Five stars.
The host was so easy to talk to. We slept eight well set up comfortable beds. Great area would be awesome to check out in the winter time. Very clean everything was there an awesome little rustic cabin.
Loved the history of the cabin. Very unique. Excellent location to the mountains and away from people. The place was very clean and beds were comfy. AC is not centralized.
Far enough from the business of Whistler but close enough to drive in for the day. Kids enjoyed exploring the property and hikes. Property manager was very responsive and helpful

Why they chose this property
This property is close to everything yet feels far removed. It's a literal gateway to essentially every mountain sport you can imagine. The climate is hot and dry in summers yet the region still gets epic snow in winters.
What makes this property unique
Close proximity to North America's No. 1 Resort, Whistler, and the best backcountry terrain and golf courses available makes this location unique. The property itself is quite private with plenty of room to enjoy with a mix of flat terrain and rocky outcrops with 360 degree view of the entire area. We do have neighbours and ask that you respect their space as well.
