Casa de Arte has been a secret hideaway for actors, musicians, writers, and A list celebrities. The large property sits on 50 meters of beach front, located on 8 miles of white sand beach called Playa Blanca and a mile from the quaint village of Barra de Potosi. The compound includes a beautiful 60' large pool overlooking the ocean and multiple casitas for an extravagant and relaxing stay. Shaded by coconut palms, this tropical paradise was designed by Enrique Zozaya, the preeminent architect in Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa.

The property is a 12 minute drive from Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa International Airport, and 20 minutes to Zihua. Airport pick up is available, if needed.

Each guest room sleeps 2. In rooms 1 and 2, the beds can be used as singles or as a single king size bed. In rooms 3 & 4 the beds are king size. The Cinema has 2 fold out couches.

The 30 foot high Palapa is the largest in Playa Blanca. The dining room table is under the palapa and comfortably seats 12-14.

Barra de Potosi is a fishing village with approximately 300 people just south of the home. In Barra de Potosi you can eat fresh caught fish with your feet in the sand 30 feet from the ocean.

The Lagoon surrounding Barra de Potosi attracts bird watchers and the Audubon Society does bird counts in the lagoon once every year. You can rent a boat and spend an hour or 2 in a fantastic bird sanctuary.

If you care to fish or whale watch or to just take a pleasure trip, boats with local captains are available. We will arrange the booking for you.

Barra de Potosi has at least 10 Enramada or thatched roof restaurants where you sit on the sand while you eat. People make a day out of it, lounging for hours, eating and swimming in the ocean, just steps away from the restaurants. The little town also has a charming restaurant called Doña Emy's for classic Mexican home cooking, and a new cafe/bar called O'Ridleys Tortuga Bar.

There are many restaurants just north of the property, less than a mile away. They serve lunch and dinner and are great for big groups. Chula Vida and Lagartos are two of our favorites. We can organize reservations. The cuisine includes fresh caught fish, vegetables, salad, and cocktails. All safe to eat!

If you are planning to travel into Zihuatanejo or Ixtapa (which we recommend!), our manager Armando will be happy to arrange for a taxi or a larger vehicle. We also recommend renting a car from Ixtapa International Airport to get around Playa Blanca and travel into the city.
