Mulberry tree cottage at Château de la Giraudière between Angers and Saumur

We are delighted to welcome you to one of our two COTTAGES at the CHATEAU DE LA GIRAUDIERE. You will find real rest and fun and relaxing activities in the area. The strong point of this place is the calm!<br>On the 15 hectares that surround the castle, you can walk, fish in the small pond... Visit our beautiful village BLAISON-GOHIER (commune of Blaison Saint Sulpice), "Small City of Character".<br>It is surrounded by pretty VINEYARDS and hiking trails, the GR3 passes on our doorstep and we are also very close to the LOIRE À VÉLO.<br><br>Our two cottages are independent without opposite, backing onto each other.<br>The property is fully fenced and we now have two secure gates and a separate entrance to the two gîtes.<br>Each garden is private and equipped with garden furniture and a barbecue.<br><br>- The COTTAGE DU MURIER for 4 PEOPLE has 2 bedrooms <br>- The COTTAGE DU FIGUIER for 2 PEOPLE on the ground floor<br>These 2 COTTAGES can also be joined together to accommodate 6 PEOPLE, with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Quote on request (make the request on Cottage du Mûrier)<br><br>The COTTAGE DU MURIER consists of 3 rooms on the ground floor, with old terracotta floors:<br>- a living room with freestone fireplace <br>- a well-equipped dining/kitchen area<br>- on the ground floor, a comfortable bedroom with top-of-the-range "Sealy" bedding in 160cm x 200cm, sink, shower and WC<br>- upstairs a large bedroom with a 160cm x 200cm bed that can be separated into two 80cm beds. This room is air-conditioned. You will also find a shower, a sink and toilets.<br><br>In the summer, you can enjoy a large HEATED SWIMMING POOL (12.5 x 5.5) shared, but never overcrowded, salt treatment, surrounded by comfortable deckchairs in a very green and peaceful environment. <br>When you walk in the park of the castle, the view is as far as the horizon can see. Pink armchairs await you in the shade of the lime trees overlooking the valley and the pond. <br>You can even fish if you are equipped!<br><br>The environment is magical!<br><br>In a tourist region where the vineyards and architecture charm the visitor, the two cottages are located between ANGERS (20 kms) AND SAUMUR (30 kms), 8 kms from the Château de BRISSAC, a must-see in Anjou.<br>The Château de la Giraudière, 15th, 17th and 19th centuries, is located on a ridge and overlooks the village of BLAISON-GOHIER (PETITE CITÉ de CARACTERE). The LOIRE VALLEY is an UNESCO World Heritage Site.<br><br>The park and the pond offer a charming and bucolic environment.<br>Independent entrance, enclosed park, secure gates with code and calm guaranteed!<br><br>It is an ideal base for visiting the CHATEAUX DE LA LOIRE, but also for cycling (LA LOIRE A VELO), hiking with the GR3 which passes on the edge of the park, canoeing for a descent of the LOIRE, tree climbing in Ecouflant, wake boarding at the WAKEPARK of Notre-Dame d'Alençon, parks and leisure at TERRA BOTANICA in Angers and the PUY DU FOU at 1 hour 15 minutes, the CADRE NOIR in SAUMUR and the incontrounable ABBEY OF FONTEVRAUD., just after Saumur.<br><br>Surrounded by vineyards, we can advise you on a tasting tour with talented winegrowers who work with the wines of our terroir, ANJOU.<br><br>We are very attentive to the comfort and well-being of our visitors and we like to take the time to meet them.
