Located in the central area of Fox Farm - PERFECT LOCATION! Close to all activities: Snow Summit (1.8 miles), Bear Mountain (2.1 miles), Big Bear Lake (1.7 miles) & the Village (2.8 miles), Kmart, Walgreens & Vons are 2 min drive.

CUSTOM BEAUTY HOME!
This custom beauty features: Custom flooring, travertine, tile and custom lighting fixtures throughout the home. The 'Great Room,' features a fully stocked Chef's kitchen with everything you will need to cook, bake, BBQ & entertain! A beautiful kitchen island with separate sink, 6 barstools, dishwasher, separate BAR with 4 custom saddle barstools, TV, an additional fridge & many bar utensils. There's a dining room table that seats 10 very comfortably for your family/friend gatherings. We've added a new New Keurig machine with coffee pods as a warm welcome. The 'Great Room,' also features a pool table, foosball table, 70 inch smart TV, custom rock fireplace (gas switch operated) and plenty of games for the whole family to enjoy!

THE GREAT ROOM - accessible through front door (2nd level)
The 'Great Room,' includes the family room, kitchen, bar and dining room with an open floor-plan so that big family/friend gatherings can take place. You can have some folks watching Netflix on the 70 in TV while others are watching the game at the 'saddle up,' bar! Enjoy the beauty of the custom rock fireplace, 12 floor to ceiling windows for watching the snow fall! The 'Great Room,' is featured on the first floor, accessible through the front door. The 2 bedrooms (King bed & Queen bed), are located on this level with a full bathroom including shower for those 2 bedrooms to share. All rooms feature extra tall doors & high ceilings which give this home a very open & upgraded style.

MASTER BEDROOM - 2nd level
The upstairs master bedroom is private, spacious & includes a King bed, private deck, remote controlled fireplace, TV, jet tub and rain shower fixtures, along with a walk-in closet which can be used to accommodate several suitcases & hanging space PLUS we've converted this HUGE closet into a kid's room. The kid's room features a full sized crib, changing table and twin bunk beds to accommodate 3 children total. Perfect for a family travling with young children to keep them close to their sleeping quarters. There's also enough room for a blow up mattress, if needed (queen blow-up mattress provided).

FAMILY FRIENDLY
A very FAMILY FRIENDLY home with everything the kids will need including a pool table, foosball, board games, toys, books, corn hole, sleds, basketball hoop (driveway) and a great spot for sledding right outside the home! We also include cutlery for children, a high chair, bibs, utensils, & a kids room with full crib, toddler bunk bed and a changing table. Anything additional needed to make your stay more comfortable may be provided upon request.

PARKING & BOAT ACCESS
This custom beauty features a large driveway to accommodate 2 cars plus an over-sized garage to fit 2 cars - includes use of garage door opener.

HOT TUB & DECK
Jetted Hot Tub (accommodates 4), located on the back deck, outdoor BBQ and 2 tables with 4 chairs each (outdoor seating for 8 total). 180 degree wrap around deck with beautiful mountain views and mother nature's animals & sounds to enjoy!

SAFETY
Fire sprinkler system, central AC system and energy efficient central heating system. Includes an ADT alarm system & updated fire alarm & CO2 systems.

PETS
Upon request with an additional $150 non refundable fee. Please inquire with number of animals & size etc. 2 dogs Maximum.

Connected Kids room in the HUGE Master bedroom closet- toddler twin bunkbeds, full sized crib & changing table.

Amazing! We didn't want to leave!

We loved our stay at Fox Farm. The home was clean and beautiful. So much room for us to relax and play. Between the pool table, foosball table, and hottub, we were never out of things to do. We didn't want to leave! Can't wait to get back soon. We had no problems at all and any questions we had were answered very quickly.

Great family home

Everything was good here. The pool table foos ball table tv bar area kitchen all in the center allow for fun central gathering! We loved the saddle chairs lol. The cleaning crew could have done better I think they completely missed the bar area but it is a big house. Overall highly recommend! Alison was immediately communicative on anything needed.

Oh my Goodness, this place does not disappoint!

Hello VRBO Patrons! My family and I rented this cabin during the week of March 16, and let me tell you, it was awesome! It is EXACTLY like the pictures. Super clean and well-maintained! The saddle bar-stools were a huge hit with both the kiddos and the adults! Kitchen was well appointed and super user friendly. The bedrooms we all clean and fresh and the beds were comfy. The bunk room is downstairs and all the kids slept there and had a blast. We would absolutely go back! Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation!

Big Bear stay in January

Our fam of 12 had an excellent stay at Avalon Retreat in January. Amenities were great and it had plentiful supplies. There were some hiccups during the stay (door code at check in, electrical issue, and my kid locked the bedroom door), but Alison and the property manager were quick to respond each time. There was an incoming storm and the power went out a few times. There were no flashlights to be found. Luckily we brought one and there were a few candles. The beds could use an upgrade. Most other things were minor and would definitely recommend Avalon Retreat!

Called ahead for crockpot. No crockpot. None of the recliners worked! Only one working pool stick. Someone came to our door one day before checkout and asked why we were still there. Out let master not working. Blinds in master were broke. Beautiful house needs tlc. Also bunk room next to garage FREEZING!

Great property. Highly recommend for a few couples. The cabin is a bit geared toward kids, which we don't have, but if you do have kids I think it's perfect for you. The owner Alison was excellent! Great at communicating and getting us what we needed asap.

Great Get-Away

We really enjoyed our stay at the Avalon Rd cabin! What a great location and property. It met all of our needs...location, size, cleanliness, amenities, and great owners! The large main room was just perfect, allowing everyone to hang out, socialize, cook, and just enjoy our time together. The bedrooms are nicely appointed and having 3 1/2 bathrooms was a nice bonus. Birthday Getaway

My sisters and there husbands and I rented a cabin for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. Everyone was comfortable and truly enjoyed the beautiful home. It had all the amenities we needed. We loved the games, pool table, bar, spa, and all the TVs. The kitchen was beautiful and well equipped. We loved cooking all together and having the open concept so we could be with the whole family altogether whether they were playing pool or at the bar or in the living room watching TV. The home is decorated beautifully and very clean! The master bedroom was so comfortable! I even took a bath while watching TV with the fire on! What a treat! We can’t wait to come back! Nice home

The property appeared just as depicted in the listing. The great room was very nice and we spent the majority of our time in that room. The kitchen was well stocked. Could use a large pan. And we didn't initially have trash bags and kitchen cleaner but they brought them to us right away when we asked. Our contract said checkin was 3 but Alison sent us an email saying we couldn't get in till 4 and then the house cleaner was still there till about 440. But the house was nice and clean and that's important these days. I was really happy that we hads all of the equipment for the billiard table. We played a lot. And the grill was excellent. The blender was very dirty so we couldn't use it. The neighborhood is very nice and in a very convenient location. It was great to have use of the garage but unfortunately the prior tenants had lost the garage door opener. That should be replaced right away as it is fairly inconvenient to walk up the stairs everytime you leave the garage. Ovrrall a very nice place and I would definitely recommend to a family or group of friends

After staying in other rental homes in Big Bear, we realized that we wanted to make Big Bear a recurring trip with our family for years to come & that we could offer a better family friendly experience to travelers if we owned a home of our own. We have made many upgrades to this beautiful home including new bunk beds, all new quilts, linens, towels, cutlery, kitchen utensils, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, cooking wares, new safety features, children's items and other amenities to make this a truly memorable stay.
