Sweet Rustic Cottage ~ Ocean View ~ Short walk to beach

A Classic Kauai Cottage on Acres of Beautiful Grounds. Away from developments and the public. More Island Artsy Than Corporate. Two ceiling fan's in living room and one ceiling fan in bedroom. One floor fan. Nice, natural breeze normally.

Watch the sunrise off the ocean horizon from bed. Enjoy quiet time under the shade of the Pink Tacoma trees in the hammock which embraces both ocean & mountain views.

IDEAL FOR NATURE LOVERS ONLY... because, although the cottage does get pest control quarterly, you may still see insects. It's part of being in a tropical climate.

Its a short 15 to 20 minute walk down a shady little road to beautiful Anahola Beach. In case of a tsunami warning you will NOT need to evacuate as we are not in the evacuation zone.

Our retreat is located in the East for a great base to explore both sides of the island. Also within 25 minute walking distance is a little general store, post office, ono char burger stand.

This is a fantastic hideaway in the hills, tranquil with constant cool sea breezes -- far from the crowds and tourists, a true getaway to chill and close to lots of great beaches and snorkel spots on the east shore. We spent a perfect week and would have loved to stayed longer.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 month stay at the sweet rustic cottage. Our 5th stay over 15 years. The setting is quiet, peaceful, serene, and organic. Beautiful landscaping and grounds. Spectacular views of ocean and mountains. The cottage is very clean and comfortable. Well stocked with everything you need. Style and setting is rustic and authentic. Beautiful details and original art. Well stocked full kitchen made cooking our meals easy. Enjoyed walks to the beach and in adjacent neighborhood. Diana is a wonderful host. So caring, accessible, and responsive. Thank you for sharing your farm and the cottage with us. Overall, a very special place. Perfect Kauai oasis

What a lovely place - we felt so at home and had everything we needed. Loved that beach accessories like chairs, snorkel gear, cooler, etc were there to use. The house felt so secluded and we enjoyed that it was a bit off the beaten path. Would highly recommend!

This was such a fun and authentic place to stay! We loved it! Being secluded was really nice and the views were fantastic! We had everything we needed and beach days were great with the supplied beach items (chairs/umbrella/cooler/mat/towels). Highly recommend!

Many VRBO reviews mention that they enjoyed the property so much that they plan to return again in the future. We loved everything about our stay in Diana’s cottage so much that we actually just finished our second visit in just under a year. Based on the many return visitors who signed the guest book, we are not the only ones who feel this way!Other reviews outline the property details, so I will limit this one to say that she has created a very special place that feels like home in an exceptional setting. And yes, we are already planning our next stay!!

Week Trip in Kauai

This cottage was an amazing place to stay! It was very private with its own little yard, and we loved hearing the chickens in the morning and watching the sun rise over the ocean. The cottage was well-equipped with everything we needed, and Diana was a great host!
