Huge Ocean Views! Direct Ocean Front Condo Sugar Beach Resort #527

Fantastic ocean front view, this beach front condo features new flooring, a very comfortable California king-size bed, queen size sofa bed, central AC, and an entertainment center with digital HD flat-screen TV & surround sound, and free WiFi. The full kitchen has all the amenities, and a stackable washer & dryer are conveniently located right in the unit. Living room features floor-to-ceiling & wall-to-wall glass sliding doors, allowing you to fully take in the glorious sights, sounds, and smells of the ocean. From the lanai enjoy sights of turtles, whales (in season), canoes, and the West Maui Mountains. Snorkel, bodysurf, boogie board, swim, and canoe right out in front of the condo.

Feel like you're on a cruise with none of the seasickness. There are huge ocean views from the kitchen and living room. Whale watch direct from your lanai (balcony) during the season. Multiple sightings a day most days December through March and some sightings October to December and March into April.

Sugar Beach Resort has its own webcam! Just search for the website called sugar beach webcam, as URLs are not allowed on this listing.

Sugar Beach Resort has lush, well-maintained grounds and one of the nicer swimming pools & BBQ areas in Kihei, along with a Jacuzzi, wading pool, sauna, sundeck and putting green, all in full view of the ocean. Many guests choose to use the oceanside BBQs and dine at the outdoor tables, meeting old & new friends.

Book activities and rent water sports equipment at Maui Sights & Treasures which is located on the premises. Dina's Sand Witch Shop serves great food & drinks. An ABC Store & farmer's market are located just up the street. Sugar Beach Resort is centrally located, which makes it convenient to venture out to other parts of Maui.

If unobstructed ocean views and privacy are what you are looking for, this fifth floor location has it all.

CANCELLATION AND RESERVATION POLICY: A fifty percent deposit is required at the time of reservation, with the balance due 60 days prior to departure. Reservations are 100% refundable if cancelled at least 60 days before the arrival date, and 50% refundable if cancelled at least 30 days before arrival date. All sales are final and nonrefundable for cancellations less than 30 days prior to arrival.

NON-SMOKING POLICY: There is no smoking inside the condo or the condo lanai or in the covered walkways, per Hawaii state law. Smoking is not permitted in any 'enclosed or partially enclosed' area, including lanais (balconies, pool area, covered walkways, or central patio). Guests who smoke in unpermitted areas are charged a $475 fee by the management and a $50 fine by the city.

Great condo for our Honeymoon

Great area and condo was as promised with gorgeous views. Would definitely stay here again. Everything you need was available in the condo, including chairs, coolers and beach equipment and full kitchen.

Beautiful beachfront condo

We had the pleasure of staying for a week as part of our 40th anniversary celebration. The unit and grounds were clean and well kept and the unit was well supplied with everything we needed.  We highly recommend this property.

The BEST Location!

Right on the beach! Loved having morning coffee and evening nightcap on the balcony, listening to the waves! Pool is perfect. Sand Witch bar was so much fun!

The perfect spot in Maui

Nothing beats the views and sound of the beach from the balcony! The location gave us easy access for everything we wanted to see, even the Road to Hana and Haneakala. Easy access to food nearby, great to swim in the beach front at the property, but bring swim shoes! Rocky! Amazing property, will stay again.

Sunsets and Whales

The condo lived up to its listing. The direct ocean view from the unit and lanai provided ample opportunities to view sunsets and migrating whales. The unit itself has all of the amenities of home. On top of that, the pool and BBQ area on the resort complex were great for when we were done with the beach and wanted to cook in.

Our happy place

Location location location. Another perfect stay at Sugar beach. The ocean views and hearing the crashing waves from the lanai, cant be beat. Beautiful walks on the beach, right in front of the condo never get old. This area is perfect to stay, no matter where you’re headed on Maui, it won’t take long from here. What a view!!

Awesome view! We used their beach chairs and noodles almost daily. Several spices and oils, we didn’t have to go buy everything like in some units. Sugar Beach rocks. Decent snorkeling right in front of the condos. Long walkable beach. Great location, quick drive to all the stores and restaurants in Kihei or Kahului.

Great location

Property is outdated, but the location is perfect. Had trouble with the bathroom light. It got fixed halfway through our time there. Not to crowded and near shopping and restaurants. Saw many whales from the lanai.

Outstanding host!

We were impacted by the travel delays due to the tech outage and Loren was incredibly compassionate and kind while we were trying to sort out our flight home. Communication was prompt and helpful each time we needed to ask a question, even just about the door code or check in. In addition, the condo was clean, excellently located, and stocked with all the amenities we could have possibly needed for beach days or longe days. The view from the balcony was lovely and there was even a small supply of books and such to keep occupied. Checkout requests were also very reasonable. I would absolutely recommend this property and particularly this host if you’re staying in Maui, our trip was better and less stressful that it could have been largely due to Loren’s prompt communication and excellent hosting! 10/10 would recommend!

Great stay for couples

Great unit. We stayed for my wife’s surprise birthday trip. It was a great unit and we really enjoyed it. We have stayed at the location before in a different unit and we love this place overall.The listing said “top floor” but technically the “penthouse” is above this floor. There were people above us but the floors are not loud so it’s not a big deal. We would absolutely come back and WILL definitely come back to the complex in the future. I will add the view from this unit is absolutely stunning!!

Great unit, great location

We enjoyed our week at this property. The unit is in a great location, and the amenities were fantastic. We had waves breaking just out and down from our lanai, with amazing views of the water, sky, and islands. Parking was easy. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for ourselves. The beach right outside of our unit was a little rocky, but walking less than two minutes in either direction, the swimming was awesome. Sugar Beach is beautiful, and great for long walks (or a short walk to the farmer’s market, bakery, and Ululani’s amazing shave ice!). The only two bumps in the road were:We checked in after midnight. The instructions were very helpful, but had one big omission: there are two buildings. The odd number rooms are in the North building; even in the south building.Also, there’s a lot of wind noise in the unit at night. One of us would prefer having an adult-only hot tub. There were a lot of kids in there, some under the age limit. All in all, we had a great vacation, and enjoyed where we stayed. Good value and great memories.

Awesome one bedroom condo facing ocean. Don’t see any other structures, just the ocean! It wa. Y far thee best condo we’ve had at sugar beach. Very nice facility right on a Long Beach. Walked each direction every day! And the community pool is close by, free lap swimming! Highly recommend!

Relaxing Beach Getaway

My husband and 7 month old baby stayed here for a week. Great communication with the host! Beautiful view of the ocean - saw a baby and mama humpback whale from the lanai! Very family friendly condo - our baby loved swimming in the condo complex pool and there was a nice lawn to play on. Dina’s Sandwitch was a great option for food right at the condo complex. We also utilized the outdoor grills quite often. Farmers market, bake shop, and shave ice shop only a short walk down the beach!

Fantastic place on Maui

Just a great location to sit back and relax. The place is not fancy, not a five star hotel, but the view was stunning! Also, everything you need was provided by the host and the host was so responsive. We had two minor issues and both were address very quickly. The beach was great, the facilities (pool, sauna, hot tub, barbecue station) were all perfect. We will be back again!

Breathtaking views, incredible stay

Our stay was fantastic and beyond beautiful! The condo is situated ON THE WATER - it’s crazy how gorgeous the view is and we could sit out on the lanai and see the most spectacular sunset with the sugar-sand beach and water as far as you can see. The place had everything we needed, including all the beach & snorkeling gear, so we didn’t have to rent anything! Great little bar/restaurant right there at the complex. We whale-watched with Pacific Whale Foundation (saw lots of whales!), ate delicious lunch and toured the aquarium - all within 10 min. drive. We will come back!

We live on an island in the Puget Sound, and so we feel right at home in Maui's island setting. The peaceful pace and friendly atmosphere really appeal to us. For many years we had been staying at Sugar Beach Resort and are thrilled to own a condo there. Our goal is to make it your favorite home away from home.

Why they chose this property

You just can't find a place closer to the water than a Sugar Beach oceanfront unit. The view is unparalleled and you have front row seating for whale watching much of the year, and turtles all year.

What makes this property unique

Sugar Beach is nearly 6 miles of white sand, and wonderful for walking, jogging or beachcombing. The north end is never crowded, so you really feel like you have your own piece of paradise.
