This beautiful, ground floor, two bedroom with two Full baths and Twin over Twin bunks in Bonus room, non-smoking condominium will spoil you. You will find all the comforts of home! The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you need to spoil your family and friends. This condo is a 1226 sq.ft condo located on the ground floor of Calypso West and is .25 miles East of Pier Park. No need for elevators! This kitchen has granite counter tops and is equipped with everything you will need. You will feel welcomed as you walk into a spacious living room and dining area complete with all the comforts of home. The dining area will seat four. Additionally, we have three bar stools at the kitchen bar for extra seating! The living room and dining area provides ample space with spectacular ground floor views of the gulf! The granite wet bar with a separate sink from the kitchen is a must! You can make those cold beverages after those long hot days on the beach. You may prefer to sit on your furnished balcony and watch the auburn sunsets over the gorgeous gulf waters! This unit offers a large laundry room with a full size washer and dryer! The private master suite offers a romantic setting with gorgeous decor. You will enjoy your private sliding glass door that leads to the pool-side balcony. Watch the ocean waves from your king size bed. The master bathroom is truly first class! It has granite counter tops and double vanities. The guest suite has a luxurious Queen size bed! This suite has its own entrance to the second bathroom with granite counter tops and walk-in shower as well! The third bedroom has a twin over twin bunk! A perfect room for the kids! They will love having their own room!

Please note: all guests staying at Calypso will be required to register and pay a $60.00 parking pass registration fee per vehicle. You will be responsible for registering your vehicle and paying the fee after. You will receive an email with instructions after after confirmation of booking. **Maximum of 2 parking passes per unit**

Perfect Location!

We absolutely loved our time in the condo. It was nice to wake up in the morning to enjoy coffee and listen to the waves on the patio. Staying on the 1st floor saved us from having to wait on the elevator. So close to pier park and many conveniences. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you for making our stay so great!

Value of the property was on par with the price. The property is in a great location if you want to enjoy pier park. The condo was decent. Linens were sub-par as well as the furniture, but wasn’t terrible.

Excellent location

Excellent location with walking to pier park, pool, beach. Very clean and welcoming. There were Cheetos spilled on pantry floor that house keeping must have missed. For the ladies if you use a hair dryer there isn’t one available in the condo. We were very pleased with the overall experience. Would recommend. Lots of space

Great property - Best Beach Getaways service is subpar

We love this unit and the Calypso in general. This is our 3rd stay here. However, the property leasing management company, Best Beach Getaways, never return phone calls. We have tried each time prior to our visits. Chairs were included in reservation 1st year but not the last two visits.

Check the amenities before booking

We stayed at the calypso back in October and loved it. We decided to book again but a different room. We still wanted first floor because of my father in law and being able to sit on the balcony and watch his grand kids swim at the pool. When we arrived our pool was shut down and there was scaffolding outside our patio. When we called best beach rentals they blamed the condo and said they didn’t know. On Monday we headed to the HOA office at calypso and they said that they did inform the owner as well as best beach rentals via email. We have learned that now before we book that we make sure their isn’t any construction happening at the condo.

CALYPSO NEEDS SECURITY AT NIGHT

Unit was very dated. Dated appliances, and showers along with furniture. Hot water was sparse as well. Beds were nice. The security at the Calypso WAS NON EXISTENT. My children were terrified the entire trip as the guest rooms are on the perimeter of the unit. All hours of the night there was partying, SCREAMING, and just overall disrespect at the property. They did not want to sleep in the rooms with windows on the walkway due to the loud, screaming, drunk behavior and obvious drug use right outside their window. The only time we saw anyone with security was broad daylight checking the pool area so children did not have toys in the pool. We have stayed at the calypso many times but will never return again due to the lack of security.

Expected more for the cost

Enjoyed our stay, but expected more after paying so much. The patio doors did not lock and would not unlock initially. Furniture is old, stained, and banged up. Microwave handle broken. Smell of sewage initially when turning on master bathtub. Toilet was occluded when first arrived, but we did get it unclogged after several attempts. Curtains going to patio were very stained and had large areas of mildew. On a positive, the views were nice, beds were comfortable, and air worked well to cool the unit. The interior could have been better for the cost.

Need to fix many problems

1. Door latch plate at the entry door almost came off 2. Floor is so dirty eventhough they charged over $200 for cleaning 3. No safe box 4. light bubs with mix color 5. Toilet fan made super loud noise and look like it falls off 6. bathroom sink drain didn't pop up. They just want to make money but didn't fix the issues

Not worth the money

There was an issue with the front door where it would get stuck and we couldn’t get in or out. I made 7 calls to the property manager with no return call ever! I called at 3:30 pm and had to leave one message after another. Finally, I waited until after dinner and called the after hours number. That is when something got rolling. However, we didn’t want a stranger in our unit so we wait for his arrival. He said he could be there in 30 minutes. An hour and a half later he arrives. The other issue is that tge TV in the Master Suite was missing which he quickly replaced. He told us it should take 20 minutes to fix the front door. An hour and a half later he said 5 more minutes. Ten minutes later asked again he was then finished in 15 minutes. The entire ordeal too over 3 hours. That was day 2. Keeping in mind day 1 & 2 we had sunshine; day 3 & 4 it rained almost continuously. So to pay THAT much and not be able to reach the management team in a timely manner, the fact that the master had no TV remote is “rental 101,” and the fact that the front door obviously had been broken for quite sometime told us that the cleaning crew missed critical issues with this unit. As for the unit itself, the couch and dinning room chairs are extremely uncomfortable. The chairs on the balcony should be stools so you can see the ocean. The ocean is not visible with the chairs provided because they are the same height as the railing and it blocks the view. We did see a small mouse on the balcony the first morning. My suggestion for us late arrivals bottled water would have been nice. We didn’t have a car and walked everywhere; however, we got to the until after 11:00 pm and nothing was open and we were very thirsty.

Can’t go wrong when you stu right on the beach!

Such a great property. The condo is very large. Beds are comfy. We loved walking to almost anywhere we wanted to go. Everyone who stayed with us was over 21 so we got a lot of use out of the bar in condo and the tiki bar on the way to the beach. The coffee pot stopped working and they replaced it the next day. Lovely view, even being in the bottom floor! 🏝

We booked with Best Beach Getaway and their customer service was terrible!!

I had to call serval times about the garage and about our code not working. The lady I spoke with was so rude. She didn’t care at all about the time my husband had spend dealing with the issues or how many timesI had called in.

It really stinks in the room. The drapes need changing because that is what is making the room stink. The beds were uncomfortable. The sheets hadn’t been changed because they still smelled like cologne
