Great location for Porto vacation

You are 30 mins from everything in Porto and only an hour from Douro Valley vineyards. I really liked the vibe of this country setting, with the small town of Melres nearby for groceries and cafes. We enjoyed lazy days by the pool and would definitely come back to explore the area more.

Beautiful house and property with a stunning pool! The hosts are lovely and very helpful, on request making us an amazing dinner and providing airport transfers. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Picturesque and Serene Home right outside of Porto

Thank you Tony and family for a wonderful stay. The Villa was gorgeous, olive trees, designer home, spacious enough for a group of 11 friends; Alda the house sitter was able to make us dinner for one of the nights. our stay was truly memorable.

Secluded Oasis

Our family and friends thoroughly enjoyed staying at this modern, stylish villa with its loads of amenities. We especially enjoyed the pool and its bar area, the individual AC in each bedroom, and fast WiFi. The quiet setting in the country is conveniently located near highways that allowed quick access to Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia, the airport, or the Duoro River Valley. When we come back to Porto, we will stay here again. Thank you, Tony; and thank you, Lilianna.

A little taste of paradise by the Douro!

My family and I had such a wonderful time. The home was exactly what we needed and we all wished we could have stayed longer! Everything about our stay was excellent, and a highlight was certainly the fruit trees around the home. We picked fresh fruit every morning, what a delight! We also had the pleasure of having Alda cater a dinner for us and it was spectacular, we highly recommend! Thanks again for everything!!

Secluded and gorgeous!

What an amazing stay! Our party of 9 had a wonderful time at the Stone House - and didn't want to leave. Our only regret was not visiting when the pool was open in summer - so we'll have to go back! The host and housekeeper were so accommodating, friendly, and gracious. The house was immaculately clean, and so very beautiful. Being only 25 minutes from Porto, 30 minutes from the beach and an hour from wineries, we thoroughly enjoyed the location as well. I highly recommend a stay at this wonderful property - it will not disappoint!

Magical Visit

We had the most incredible stay! The villa is absolutely stunning. It has old world character with modern updates. There are 3 bedrooms and one full bathroom on each floor, which was very comfortable for our family of six. Alda - the house manager - was so warm and offered to connect my husband to a doctor when he was sick. I HIGHLY recommend booking Alda for at least a dinner. She is an excellent cook and it was nice to have a few meals at home rather than going out. We loved our stay and hope to be back one day!

well thought of!

In March, this part of Portugal still is a little chilly, but we loved our stay. The house is beautifully put together. That already warmed our hearts and the fire place did the rest. ;) Old and new find a nice balance. The kitchen is perfectly equipped and the cleaning ladies are super welcoming. Relaxing retreat

We loved our stay at this home. There was plenty of room for our large family of 9. We loved the views, the birds singing every morning, and the comfy and clean home. The house is charming, spacious, and well decorated and stocked. The housekeeper, Alda, was so friendly and responsive. We hired her to bring 2 evenings of dinners. She is a wonderful cook and we so enjoyed eating her home cooked meals. We highly recommend hiring her for meals. We had a wonderful stay and recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet retreat.

A Slice of Serenity Near Porto!

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful property just outside of Porto. The setting was incredibly peaceful and tranquil — the kind of place that immediately makes you slow down and breathe a little deeper.The house itself was perfect for us, and the kids had the absolute best time exploring and playing. Everything was comfortable and thoughtfully prepared, and you can tell how much care goes into keeping the home in such great shape.But what truly made our stay extra special was Carina. Just a piece of heavo

Absolutely amazing property. We stayed at Tony’s place for 5 days. Only 4 of us and a dog. The house is close enough to Porto to explore it, and far from hustle and bustle of a city. The location is tranquil and scenic. The property is exceptionally decorated where the owners incorporated rustic and modern, old and new. Full kitchen, washer and dryer, 6 bedrooms, two baths. A wonderful housekeeper Alda( who can cook for you if you want) always available if you have questions. We loved our stay. Five stars all the way. Thank you

And she thoughtfully took care of grocery runs and details that made us feel completely at home.The home itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and extremely well maintained. The bedrooms were cozy, with quality bedding and pillows.We enjoyed the serene backyard and pool area—the deck is perfect for morning coffee or evening wine. The property sits beside a small river with playful ducks and beautiful wildlife that add to its peaceful charm. The house is a rare find—peaceful, elegant, and filled with heart. 5 couples d'amis. Maison très bien située au calme,Propre . Alda nous a très bien accueilli. . Nous avons également apprécié : La Cheminée ( le temps était très humide) ,et Qu'Alda nous prépare de bons Dîners. Un seul inconvénient 1toilette dans les 2 SDB pour 10 c'est une organisation..
