St. Francis House has some simple and unique features that some groups love: large gathering rooms for lively discussions or group activities, a fully equipped kitchen where groups can chose to prepare a home-cooked meal, a ranch-style house with some old-timey country charm, and separate accommodations upstairs and down. Nestled on the beautifully landscaped Center property, it’s an easy walk to the trails and other Center features. The house can sleep 13 on two levels, with each of the five bedrooms sharing two or three twin beds. The rooms are a little rustic, but that just adds to the experience and charm.

Nice place for a large group

We had a great Christmas the boys loved exploring the woods and pure openness of it all, the house is very cozy and large enough for our large family to spread out. We loved it!

Better than we expected

From the pictures I thought this place would be spartan, but the space was very comfortable and cozy. The beds were more comfortable than they appear. It was nice for everyone to have their own space. I was afraid of bugs because I read about them from a past review, but the place was clean and completely bug-free. There was a lot of common space for eating together and playing group games.The location was beautiful!

Fit the bill exactly!

Great house for the price. Big open kitchen for meeting up and talking. There were some bugs in the downstairs bedroom, but we got them taken care of :).

Great place for a large number of people

We stayed here for a soccer tourney at Pepsi soccer complex. We brought black stones and cooked breakfast and supper. This place was awesome for a large group. The only weird thing is all the single beds but that was clearly put on the advert. The two bathrooms are the only issue with this property but again clearly advertised.

One of the best and peaceful place for a staycation with your friends and families. Well maintained and very clean property. You will love the Nature around this property and zero Noise. We were blessed to get this property for our staycation.

Great quiet hideaway in the hills

When we travel it’s for big car audio shows! This location was perfect to say the least . We had more than adequate room for 13 adults ..lots of parking for those with trailers ! There’s a large outdoor pavilion for handing out / cooking out ! We will definitely be trying to rent this one again next year !

Great retreat center! Perfect for any group size!

The property was really nice and had a lot of amenities for us to use! The campfire nearby was convenient and great for a late night hangout. The beds are really nice, the kitchen was well-stocked with equipment, and everything was cozy and clean. Definitely would book again in the future!

Mom's 89th Birthdat

It was a perfect place to stay. We were spending most of the time at my brother's house in Hickory, but it was great to come back at the end of the day to a comfortable place to sleep, eat breakfast, and take morning walks. The grounds are lovely, and for us with little ones, it was nice to have a place where the kids could roam about without us worrying about moving everything or them breaking anything. The kitchen was well stocked, we used the laundry and it worked great, and the supplies were plentiful. The managers were super helpful, and we would definitely stay again.

Peaceful

This was a very peaceful place to stay and met our needs very well. Hospitality was outstanding and communication was very good. One thing to note, it is only TWIN beds in each room. We didn’t realize that, but it was fine! (I should’ve read the description better. Lol) I would totally stay here again.

Great Place for Mixed Groups

Several of my friends and I went up to the Mountains for a couple of days and this place was perfect! It's quiet and out of the way but not far from groceries and food. None of us are married so having lots of beds and bedroom options was great. Check-in was super easy and we loved not having to rush out in the morning. We cooked breakfast and just chilled until we were ready to head out. Smores at the fire pit was a bonus! Kris was quick to respond to any questions I had before we showed up. We are hoping to stay there again sometime and bring more of out life group with us. :)

Peaceful stay

Excellent property. Everything you might need, beautiful trails, fire pit, bball court and many more amenities. House was very cozy for 12 people, 6 kids and 6 adults. Minor issue with lower bedrooms but Kris and Ashley very responsive. Will stay again
