Just up the road you will find the most perfect cabin in the woods. From this lovely cabin you can drive just a few minutes to downtown Red Lodge, up to the ski area or right into the Beartooth Mountains. You can enjoy the fresh air as you sit out on the deck catching up with your friends and family while enjoying the forest wildlife. This remodeled cabin is truly cozy and comfortable for the Montana experience. The upstairs semi-private loft has a king bed with a bathroom. The main level has a very small bedroom with a twin bed, and a bedroom with a double sized bed and a twin bunk bed. The full kitchen, living area and bathroom are on this main level as well. This main floor bathroom does have a bathtub. The warm fireplace is great to gather around after a long busy day outside. Enjoy the wooded setting on the deck with outdoor propane BBQ, table and chairs. You're welcome to bring a dog or two along with your stay.

The Neighborhood:
Red Lodge, nestled in the foothills of the Beartooth Mountains, is a wonderful place to visit if you are looking for family fun, a place to touch the wild, or just a chance to let your hair down. Whether you are wearing Birkenstocks or cowboy boots, you will find something to do here. (Although downtown is paved and we even have sidewalks, Jimmy Choos are probably not a great idea!)
In winter the road ends here. Downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, sledding and sleigh riding are just the short list of activities that you can do when visiting us.
In summer we revel in the Beartooth Pass opening. We are only 68 miles from Yellowstone Park, but plan on a good two to two and a half hours drive as the “Pass” is stunning in high mountain vistas, rocky cliffs, and jeweled lakes. The Custer National Forest is a haven for wildlife including elk, moose, mountain goats, big horn sheep, bears (black and grizzly), mountain lions and wolves. Golden marmots are often seen dashing across the trails. Golden and bald eagles often visit our area, as well as sandhill cranes and blue herons.

Red Lodge, Montana is a rural community that does offer internet and cell service throughout most geographic areas but, some locations are completely void of any internet or cell service. In town and within a 3-5 mile radius of downtown you will enjoy solid cell signal but during times when our population increases due to events, celebration (such as the Fourth of July), or emergency situations such as a wildfire you will notice that these online and cellular services slow down and sometimes, they can slow down to the point where you have to wait to place a call. We can’t do anything to help in these situations, so we encourage people to enjoy the freedom of being “unplugged” and to be patient.

Thank you for your kind words! We’re so happy to hear the cabin was the perfect getaway for your weekend. The charm and beautiful surroundings make it such a special place—we’d love to host you again anytime!
Everything about the cabin was relaxing. It was well stocked and beautifully decorated. My boyfriend and I had the most wonderful time. We would come back here in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.
Beautiful surroundings! This cabin is the perfect getaway. It's far enough away from town that it's quiet and close enough that it doesn't take long to get to town for shopping or finding something to eat. The cabin is cute, clean and the beds are comfortable. Communication with the property manager was great.
Beautiful and super comfortable house. Had everything we needed. Great location for many hikes and close to town. Very responsive host. Would love to stay there again.

Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
AAA rentals were great to work with. Communications were clear and provided timely. The home was beautiful and very clean. The location was gorgeous and we were lucky enough to have 3 moose and lots of deer on the property. The only reason we docked a star is because the hot tub only runs from April to September. Maybe that’s normal season in CA but we had really hoped to enjoy that during our December stay.
Loved the location and peacefulness. Plenty of space and privacy for us and our adult children. Just outside of town with privacy. Beautiful trees, deer and moose walking through the yard.
Exactly what we were looking for on this trip. Clean and out of town but close enough to go out to eat or buy groceries. Central to many beautiful hiking trails. We saw fox, deer, moose, and black bear during morning walks.
Our stay at the Cabin in the Woods exceeded our expectations. The cabin was clean, well stocked and comfortable. The views were beautiful and the property was relaxing. The rental company was easy to communicate with and provided all of the pertinent information we needed. This was a wonderful stay in an ideal setting, no complaints.
just as advertised, a cabin in the woods! nicely appointed, plenty of room, wildlife entertainment, just right! no issues to bring up, a seamless visit, well enjoyed!
This is a great little cabin. Tucked in the trees and perfectly located away from the noise of town and close to hiking trails and mountains. It was the perfect size for the two of us and our two dogs and we loved the wood fireplace and deck. The large bull moose just outside our window one morning made it even more special. Highly recommend.
it was a well kept, comfortable cabin to stay in
we were one of the only people on the hill so it was nice and quiet! great swings! It could use a couple of new frying pans:) other than that it was a wonderful place to stay AAA was very helpful as well. Thank you
My daughter (f 22) just graduated from ASU. This was the perfect stop for us. She was able to take some time and decompress. AZ to NJ and the two day stop was so nice. We saw deer and turkey and the town was just so kind and nice and the food was delicious.
For a person that works in NYC this was an amazing place to get my head on straight and connect with nature.
Cute cabin just outside of RL but felt secluded with trees...bday getaway for 17 year old son, dirt biking, hiking and fun! Would’ve loved a jacuzzi to hop in to soak sore muscles.... we normally put that in our filter when searching VRBO’s. Loved the decor, kitchen (I’d add some larger pots and mixing bowls, spices, sugars), deck, dimmers on lights etc. our dog loved to hang out on the deck and watch the squirrels after a long day hiking.

Thanks for being a great guest. We hope to see you soon.
In the area for a family wedding. Perfect cabin for a relaxing time in the woods. Did some cooking with the kitchen that had everything we needed, grill on the deck cooked up some steaks. The layout of cabin was nice. Bedrooms tucked away from the main living area and kitchen. Highly recommend this place. Neighboring cabins were barely visible and hardly noticed they were there. The deck was great for quiet morning coffee or evening drinks. Best of all was the moose that looked in the kitchen window when I was pouring a cup one morning and then lazily wondered through the yard. No need to go looking for wildlife, it came to us.

We look forward to hosting you again real soon. Thank you for being a wonderful guest!
We rented Into the Woods for our family of 5. It was the perfect spot - midway between DT Red Lodge and skiing. Clean, charming, everything you need to enjoy this picturesque town. Beds were comfy, decor is on.point, kitchen had the basics and everything you’d need. Internet was just a little slow but meh, who needs a speedy connection when you’re disconnecting in this place? We will be back!
