This as a great hotel to stay in Montreal. It was clean, no bed bugs, had a comfortable bed with wonderfully soft pillows, free breakfast, and honestly only a short 20 min walk to old town Montreal by the water. I would definitely stay here again.
"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was quiet, clean, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The King room's stunning view of the Grande Bibliothèque with Mount Royal in the background was a highlight. The spacious room allowed me to comfortably do yoga and stretches, and the onsite gym was a great bonus. The bedding was super comfortable, and the shower bathtub was a delight. The location was perfect, with easy access to the Berri Metro entrance. The staff were friendly and accommodating despite my limited French. The lobby's handy ATM and the variety of foods available for breakfast on the lower level added to the convenience. The breakfast selection was constantly replenished, ensuring I didn't miss out on those delicious croissants . I thoroughly enjoyed my 5-day stay and would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Montreal. Looking forward to returning!"
Noisy room. The main vent in the room made a constant squeaking sound day & night. There was a very loud noise that would happen at strange times through the day and night that sounded like an industrial ice machine or something. In the bathroom, (old sink hangs partially over the toilet) the Light fixture makes a high pitched humming sound when it's on, and the shower head would make a very high pitched tone if you didn't get the temperature right. The first night was rough. Neither of us slept well at all, and I bought some earplugs the next day which helped out a bit for the 2nd night. The pillows on the bed looked like they should be tossed, or at least fitted with proper pillow protectors before the pillow sheets. To say the breakfast was underwhelming would be an understatement.Halloween size snacks for 3 in busted vending machines. They charge a lot for parking there, you can park for less than half what this Hotel charges just down the street at a proper Car Park.We did try to get the sound issue with the vent fixed, but that couldn't happen, and it was explained to us that this was an issue in every room using the same ventilation system from rooms 0-28 on every floor. So even if they could move us (which they couldn't) the noise would still be an issue. One individual my partner and I talked to was particularly unhelpful and unprofessional. All in all, this trip has made me painfully aware that there are listings on VRBO that are not what they seem.
