Welcome to “Low Country Chillin”! If you are ready for some serious R & R, then you made the right vacation choice. This stairless split ranch home is located in the beautiful Melrose community and provides peace and serenity. Along with privacy amongst the mossy oak trees.
There is “NO BRIDGE” to Daufuskie Island and we like it that way! You will start your adventure with a choice of a private water taxi or ferry to the island. The land transportation is included in your package that will take you round trip to the home. To get around the island you will need a golf cart or bikes to start exploring. We can assist you with these services.
Having undergone a renovation in 2020, this 3 bedroom home delivers style, location and comfort…and a unique vibe you won’t find anywhere else.
Walking into “Low Country Chillin” is classic Daufuskie. Enjoy the open floor plan including a vast kitchen, living/dining area which opens up to a large screened in porch. Next to the porch you will find a grilling deck. This home has 3 bedrooms and 2 ½ bathrooms. The master suite has a great view of the wooded area around the home and features a king size bed. The master bath has a walk in shower, soaking tub & double vanity. There is also a desk/work station with double monitors. On the other side of the home are 2 great size bedrooms, each with a queen size bed, that share a Jack and Jill bathroom. The living room and all bedrooms have flat screen/smart TV’s. There is a full size washer and dryer and highspeed fiber optic internet.
Need more room? This property has a detached 1 bedroom/1 bath loft apartment that is available for an additional fee.
Daily walks to the beach under the oak trees…listening to music with a cool drink from the shade of the screened in back porch…rocking your worries away on the front porch, this is what Daufuskie vacations are made of.
The home is a 2 minute golf cart ride to the pristine, non-crowded beach. It is also dog friendly!

Wonderful family vacation! Tooled around the 5 mile island by golf cart. Swimming, horseback riding, beautiful scenery everywhere. Local deviled crab and distillery were a treat. Our home away from home was comfortable and beautifully decorated. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you !!

New Yorkers Low Country Chillen

We had the most amazing time. This was our fourth time at the island, but this time was our longest trip. We drove all the way down from New York. Susan was so helpful with every question that we asked before our trip, during the trip, and even on our way to the ferry. I highly recommend staying in this house it has everything you need and is located in a very quiet area, we will definitely be back. Thank you so much!!!!!

Family trip

We had an amazing stay at an amazing house, with an amazing host/manager. Susan was more than helpful picking us up twice at freeport as I had to make 2 trips to bring people and gear over to the island. She was happy to pick us up and take us back to Freeport on our departure date as well. We will definately use this property again. The house was clean, nice, and decorated perfectly for Daufuskie island. We had a pretty nastyd thunderstorm while we were there, and the games they had were great for a family of 9. Thank you so much for everything. Oh and the little store in the closet was great, we bought some things, great idea for a house.
