This is a gem! The yard was a nice size with access to the lake right in front. The garage was a great hangout as it did rain at some point everyday! We would return again!

Absolutely gorgeous! From the cabin, to the lawn, to the boat dock everything was great! On a quiet road with great lake access we couldn't have asked for a better spot to relax and enjoy a long weekend.

Our stay was everything that we hoped it would be! Family, fun, and food! The Lakeview, the bass fishing, the kayaking paddle boarding crafting with family. We just playing had a great time!

We had a very nice time. Our host was exceptional with her communication and always happy to do anything that could help us be more comfortable. I think one of the hidden perks of this property is the screen door that comes down to cover one of the large garage door openings. WOW— it was great to just sit and enjoy some breeze and a view of the lake. One word of caution to folks that I wish had been in the listing. The two bedrooms are upstairs. But… there is no bathroom up there. So anybody over 50 needs to know if you gotta go at night, you are due for a bit of a trip down darkened stairs in an unfamiliar place.One other quibble— we were not able to use either of the boat lifts during our stay because they are configured for boats that are not as deep. Our boat is a deep-V hull and would not fit. We made the best of it and just piled on the bumpers and strapped it to the dock. But I wish we could have used one of them. If neither of those things bug you— I would very much recommend this place for a great summer vacation or stay.

Star Lake

wonderful stay at the cabin on Star Lake in Dent! The We had an excellent time. The location was peaceful and the lake views were beautiful. The cabin was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We especially enjoyed the calm mornings on the dock and evenings by the fire. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy lake life!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The property is so beautiful with multiple lounging areas and a huge beautifully landscaped yard. It was still a little early in the season for swimming but the large dock was perfect for dangling our feet in the lake, watching the wildlife, and having great conversations. The house had everything we needed in the kitchen when the weather didn’t cooperate for grilling outside. We only had one question for the host during our stay and they responded within minutes. The beds were super comfortable and we all slept very well. I like the upstairs layout of the bedrooms. It gives a great deal of privacy for all guests. The house was clean and cozy and the AC was on upon our arrival. Fans and AC units in all rooms was very appreciated during our arrival on a hot humid day. The lake view was stunning and we had such a relaxing, quiet, restful stay at our getaway from the noise and constant parade of people walking by that we normally have at our house in Fargo.Wonderful hosts, beautiful property, and the perfect relaxing getaway. Can’t wait to book our next stay!!! We had a 10/10 experience here!

Hidden gem

This place was just wonderful. We got the very best night sleep with the comfy beds and the linens were great. The home was just like the pictures and everything felt clean and new. I would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you again Shelly!

We were very pleased with our week-long stay at this property. It is very clean and well appointed. The beds, linens, and pillows were all comfortable. The bedrooms are quite spacious. It is on a quiet, graveled road that is treated to help keep down the dust. The large lot was well maintained. The location is excellent. We travelled into Fargo, Pelican Rapids, and Detroit Lakes to meet with relatives in the area. We also had an enjoyable outing at Maplewood State Park, which is stunning in autumn.As you can tell by the listing, the lake is across the road. The water is very clear and enjoyable for swimming - but is a lake, not a swimming pool, with everything that goes along with that. We don't own a boat, so having two kayaks on site was a big plus as it allowed us to get out on the water. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather, and even on the weekend, the lake wasn't the least bit crowded. Check in and out were both seamless.Note that both of the bedrooms are upstairs. There are four steps up to a landing, then thirteen more to reach the second floor, with no handrails. In addition, there are about 6 steps from the road down to the dock. The steps are made from natural stone and the amount of drop from step to step varies somewhat. Again, there isn't a handrail. These items didn't cause any problems for us; I mention them only for the consideration of guests who have concerns with mobility and/or balance.I definitely recommend this property.

Last minute getaway

The lake home was great and we enjoyed the amenities it provided. It was very clean and well maintained. The lake access was just down the road and her dock was very nice. Relaxing get away

This was the perfect place to spend a relaxing week away and get in some time on the lake. There was great fishing and swimming at Star Lake. The house was clean and great amenities for cooking. I loved being able tobhave a pellet grill and regular grill. If the mosquitoes got too back outside there was a great area in the garage to relax and play some games with the screen garage door down so we could still enjoy the lake views.
